SuperShuttle

Visited Atlanta recently and use their service. Upon arrival at the airport, I receive a text for self check in on my mobile phone. It is kind of nice to be assured that the company is aware of your arrival. It also gives you instruction where to find your ride, what the number of the vehicle and a diagram of the pick up location. The same thing is also true about the pick up from my hotel. I receive a text message about the estimated time of arrival, a live feedback about where the shuttle is and time frame. My over all experience is pleasant. The company run their business efficiently. Will surely use them again next time I visit Atlanta.

I tried to resolve this with Super Shuttle before writing a bad review, I really did… but they did not care to follow-​up with me beyond saying «Sorry! We will follow up with you!»
My husband had a reservation because his flight was arriving later than public transit runs. He checked in when his plane landed as he was supposed to. He got to the curb and waited for an hour, and they never showed. There were other people waiting for the shuttle, too. He spoke with a dispatcher on the phone, and she just said that she doesn’t know where the driver went and there’s nothing she can do. After waiting an hour, he had to take a cab for twice the price.
The only followup with Super Shuttle we got was, «Eh, we refunded your money.» Umm. My husband being stranded at the Atlanta airport at 2am warrants more than a shrug from customer service. I think they should be concerned about customer trust, but they didn’t seem to be. It’s a real shame; we really like the idea of the service.
EDIT: Okay, so it turns out they had emailed just the day before I posted this; they just emailed my husband. They offered to reimburse the difference of the cost between the taxi and the Super Shuttle, but only if we still had a receipt… three weeks later. Sigh.

I drove by my hotel twice before being dropped off because the driver insisted on going to further hotels. He didn’t use any kind of GPS or map system on the tablet as I know he is supposed to do. Will never recommend or use them again. The shuttle to my hotel took twice as long as my flight to Atlanta! Horrible unnecessarily long experience.

What a miserable experience. We spent TWO HOURS (going all around Atlanta — our hotel was supposed to be 20 min from the airport) in this disgusting van, crammed between ten others with the dreaming HEATER on full blast while our driver whipped around town like he was driving a fiat. By the time we reached our hotel, we were both throwing up. I would recommend to pay an extra 10 – 20 bucks to use a taxi. I have never had such a completely miserable experience.

Well I wish them well as I know it works fairly well in many cities but Atlanta is new. I booked online a few days before as they prefer. I sit watching the screen where it says wheres my van when time was ready to go. Evidently it appears on your screen when its nearing your location. It never came on the screen. It gave a van number, but it also said no information available. At the end of my pickup window of 15 min a lady calls and says they have no van available and I will be getting a checker cab soon. It did come soon after. She said all will be paid and I dont have to pay a thing. Supershuttle suggests you tip in advance too. I didnt want to do that… for reasons like this but I did as they request it. Now I see I should not have.
I get in the Checker cab and verify its all taken care of. Yes Yes… but when I got to the airport I said well I already tipped but heres a bit more as I dont know if that will reach you. He looks shocked! Evidently he didnt realy grasp what I said getting in. Most are drivers are foreign born. SO I repeat, this was a super shuttle booking that was totally paid, I told you that! He looks at his print out and it said something like account pay… after awhile it sunk in. I said call your office if your not sure. He had me sign a black form and I did and left.
I only bought one way as not knowing when I would arrive, I didnt know if they had a desk at the International arrivals on the east edge of Atlanta airport. I call supershuttle and wait on hold forever to see if there is a supershuttle desk at International. No, there isnt. So then I would have to call them and hold forever when I fly in as I dont have a smart phone to use the app. I thought its never going to work on the return so I only got the going, and as it turned out that didnt work either.
In time I hope they get it together. Its not easy to break into a new market. I hate taking cabs in Atlanta. They are horrible too.

I have used Super Shuttle for over 10 years at other locations throughout the US and was disgusted with the service I received this past trip. I had only used them once before in Atlanta, just 2 weeks prior, and the service was fantastic.
I had a pickup time scheduled during Atlanta rush hour so I was expecting them to be late, but was not expecting them to NOT SHOW UP. I called 30 minutes after my scheduled pickup time when no one had arrived, the woman on the main line talked to the Shuttle Driver and said they were 15 minutes away… I let 30 minutes pass before calling again and they called the driver/​dispatch again and I was told 15 minutes away again and I told them I was told that 30 minutes ago and no one has showed up… at this point my flight was scheduled to leave in 2 hours and I was getting worried for time… they called around to see if another shuttle was able to pick me up and left me on hold for 30+ minutes while they searched and got updates on the shuttle (s). With very little time left, they sent me a cab which they paid for to get me to the airport… I arrived with 25 minutes before my plane was scheduled to leave and had to SPRINT in the Atlanta airport to make my flight. Luckily my flight got delayed 15 minutes so I was able to make my flight and get something to eat before boarding.
I would also mention that I used the Super Shuttle App «where’s my van?» and the shuttle was showing parked at the same hotel for almost 30 minutes… there are a lot of people who use super shuttle that are not courteous of the pickup windows… super shuttle needs to enforce a policy that says if you aren’t ready in your pickup time and we are at your location, we leave. There are other paying customers that are ready to go and tired of waiting.
They claimed they would refund me for that trip… but it has been 3 full days and I haven’t seen a credit yet.
On my pick up this morning from the Airport, I used my phone to check in for the shuttle upon arriving… waited for 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive with one other person who also checked in (but at the main desk) and no driver showed up… At 30 minutes I walked over and asked where the shuttle was and when to expect it… the girl at the desk said the Shuttle is onsite and she has been spending the past 15 minutes trying to reach the driver (she was on the phone when I arrived)… Finally after 45 minutes of waiting, the driver showed up, claiming her phone «doesn’t work right» and gets us loaded and on the van. This was 8 in the morning… i think she was sleeping and tried to use her phone as an excuse… We then waited for the one other person to show up that was also scheduled on our bus, he was thankfully checking in with the main desk and got on our way. It did take about 45 minutes in rush hour morning traffic to get dropped home but that reasonable given it was rush hour.
Next time I fly out, I am spending the money on a cab, driving myself and paying for parking or taking MARTA because this Super Shuttle has left me with disdain for ever using their services again in Atlanta.

The price was cheap and so was the service.
Actually, the pick up from the airport to my hotel was great. Friendly driver and got where my colleague and I needed to go in a timely manner.
The return trip to the airport was a failed mission. First, they arrived 45 minutes before the scheduled time so I was just walking out of my conference when they called and said to come down. They also said I should «hurry to be considerate of other passengers.» My colleague and I got down there and they only had me scheduled for the shuttle even though we were traveling together. The driver refused to take my colleague. This was determined through sign language because he could barely speak English. He told us to call dispatch, but we were placed on interminable hold while the driver was insisting I get on the shuttle and leave my colleague.
After much frustration, we abandoned the shuttle and took a cab to the airport.
Super shuttle gets a big ZERO.

Things must have changed since the last review — from start to finish, this company mishandled everything. They set our pickup for the wrong day, were unbelievably rude when we called (telling us «you’re going to miss your flight, that’s not our problem!»), and had 5 of us waiting for one woman causing most of us to almost miss our flights. The driver made us think we were waiting because the woman was rude; turns out they had scheduled her pickup an hour later than ours (at a hotel literally down the block).
I would recommend a taxi, a rickshaw, or crawling on your hands and knees if you want to make it anywhere more on time than with Stupor Shuttle.

This is a prompt shuttle service that runs every fifteen minutes. The driver was pleasant, professional, and sequenced stops in the most time efficient way possible. The entire trip from the airport to midtown took about forty-​five minutes, which I think is very reasonable given that the driver is dropping off multiple passengers. The rates are good because it costs about half the amount of taking a cab to downtown or midtown. However, the customer service inside the airport needs improvement. Clerks are slow and unfriendly. I recommend booking online so that you can avoid the amount of time it takes to board the shuttle.
