The Art Of Touch

Ah I wish i remembered our masseuse’s name! She was the bomb! My girlfriend and I never had massages before but that experience was incredible. I think it got a little firm at moments but they were very receptive to suggestions. They were super skilled and the music was so zen. Post-​massage we received water (which was so necessary!) and a few tips. We enjoyed the staff the facility was beautiful and clean, and the end of it we were in a very good area for food. 5 star experience for sure.

My husband and I came to Atlanta for a long weekend and just had a 90 minute couples massage. I had Akiscia (hope I’m spelling it right, I am surprised I remember my own name Im so relaxed) my husband had Julie. This place is amazing. The front desk staff is great. The décor and feel of the place is amazing. The massage… ooooh the massage. Akiscia is phenomenal. Not only are her reflexology skills stellar, but I have a hip injury that some massage therapists don’t know how to handle, she knew exactly what to do and what areas to massage to make it feel like new. I cannot say enough good things about her. My husband is raving about Julie as well. I highly recommend them both. The next time I’m in Atlanta this will be my first stop. In fact, we kind of want to move here because of this experience. I wish there were 10 more stars because five is not enough.

I was trying to find a nice place to get a gift certificate for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. I found Art of Touch on a top 10 list from Unilocal.I bought a couples massage gift certificate. There were several designs to choose from. I was able to add a personalized message and print it out.
We really liked the location. Parking was easy. We followed the directions in the parking deck and parked right near their door. Upon arrival, they validated our parking.
The reception staff was very pleasant. They seemed to be expecting us. We didn’t have any wait. There was beautiful art on the walls from local artists from a recent art exhibit. The waiting area was very inviting. They have floor to ceiling windows. There was a big jar of candy for us to snack on which is a big plus for me! We filled out our preference sheets then our massage therapists came to escort us to our room.
The room was very spacious. The dim lighting and soft music was very relaxing. I don’t remember the name of the person that worked on me. She was very nice & accommodating. The 60 minutes seemed to go by so quickly! The massage therapists waited for us outside of the room with water. They answered our questions and gave us feedback. We were allowed to hang out in the waiting area until we were ready to go. The common areas are decorated so nicely. It made us want to just sit and take in the scenery. I would highly recommend this facility.

Shelly was incredible! Highly recommend her. Recently came here for my first massage and I will definitely be back with more company. Pressure was spot on, she was very easy to trust, and the facility was neat and clean. I’ve definitely found my go-​to for any of my spa needs. Price was very reasonable, as well.

The Art of Touch is a beautiful and serene experience. The office walls are filled with gorgeous art work and the tall windows bring in perfect natural lighting. My boyfriend and I had a couple’s massage. The massage room was very comfortable with soft, inviting massage tables. Our therapists were both very professional and gave us awesome massages! We felt super relaxed in a state of bliss when we left the massage room. The therapists were waiting with water and encouraged us to relax for as long we we wanted to in their post massage room, which reminded me of a huge living room with the sunlight pouring in. This was my boyfriend’s first massage. He’s now hooked! I would highly recommend The Art of Touch!

I was given a gift certificate to Art of Touch last year and used it for a deep tissue massage that was very good. However, after having massages at other places, I realized that The Art of Touch is by far the best I have had! I went in this weekend for a «sports massage» because I had pretty touch leg work out and very hilly 5k. I had residual soreness from both of those activities and really need special treatment to my lower back, outer hips and thighs. Art of Touch paired me with Claude. I explained to him the activities I did this past week and where/​why I was sore. He was so attentive and made sure tend to my overly worked muscles. I walked out of Art of Touch feeling like a new person! I literally walked in there barely being able to walk/​sit and left feeling a million times better. I highly recommend their services and Claude’s amazing massage!

Wow! I had my first massage on Saturday – it was amazing! My massage therapist was Julia and I highly recommend her. Since I’d never had a massage, we discussed my expectations and decided that we would do an all-​over relaxing massage (medium on the soft-​hard touch scale). There was relaxing music playing, a dimmed room with candles, and an overall feeling of indulgent relaxation. I loved every minute of my hour-​long session!
My wife had a massage with Seth. She wanted to get some relief from her sciatic nerve pain which means that her massage was not as fuzzy and relaxing as mine was (so sorry). Seth helped her stretch her muscles and really went to work on her problem area. She said she felt comfortable with him and that he did a really great job addressing her issues and giving her advice on things that she can do at home to help with the pain. She thought Seth was highly knowledgeable and that he did an excellent job!
The spa had an overall good vibe. Everyone was friendly and professional. They offered us tea and water while we waited (we were a little early) and both therapists gave us water as soon as we exited our session rooms. I highly recommend this place!

Very easy to park as the entrance is right off the 2^nd floor of parking. A huge, nice open space with helpful staff. Everyone is very experienced and I’ve had several good massages here. Read the bios of the therapists to see who might fit your needs.

Awesome massage therapists at hand (hooray for puns). I have consistently have had a great experience here with randomly selected people. I’m a lucky girl for living within walking distance, making last minute appointments for instant gratification and relaxation possible.

I’ve been coming here for years. I was so happy when I moved, and they moved right across the street from me again. The new space is beautiful. I’ve had a lot of massages, and this is the best place I’ve been to. I just happen to be lucky with the location.
I won’t suggest any therapists, as I’m greedy and want them to myself. ;) I’ve seen a lot of different therapists here, and I’ve really liked most of them. I’ve turned a couple friends onto this place as well, and they’ve been very happy here.

The place is beautiful! Amazing building! I love the art and the view from the balcony. I got a massage from a young man. About my age (twenties)… There was an awkward moment but I’m trying to understand him. We are all human. Maybe I’m just used to my usual oriental massage, but I just didn’t think the actual massage was what the place makes it out to be.

Ahhh… such a relief to find a new regular massage place. Every therapist I have seen has been amazing and I’m just sad I didn’t find this place sooner. They have a great deal on Gift Certificates right now for the holiday’s so I bought a few for my friends and a series of sessions for myself. One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me, and a few more for me. :)
You owe it to yourself to go there…

Skeptical as this place does not possess your typical day spa ambiance (it’s in an office building or something) but willing to give my husband the benefit of the doubt when we booked a couples massage.
Can I just say… Claude has the voice of a god and the hands of an angel.

My husband and I are in Atlanta for our first anniversary. We decided this morning to get a couples massage and looked online. I dug through lots of reviews and after finding this place on Unilocal!With lots of good reviews we decided to go for it. We called and were able to get an appointment this evening as we were hoping to do. We are just leaving and we both agree we had a great experience. Both therapists were great and the entire staff we came in contact with were super friendly. If we are ever in town and wanting a massage this is where we will go.

Yes, it’s beautiful and yes, they validate up to two hours. You know this. I came in on a dreary rainy day with back and shoulders feeling as though they were locked in pain. Seriously, the night before, I couldn’t even lay down pain free. I chose Akiscia as my therapist based on other Unilocal reviews. She is very skilled and incorporated some reflexology that I was not familiar with. I walked out feeling a bit high and wanting to walk down to Sweet Hut. I was pain free and all my bones, muscles, and joints no longer holding a vendetta against me. I am a massage snob and OCD particular. Akiscia was fabulous!

I went with a girl friend to get a couple’s massage (lol) and it was an amazing experience. Everybody was really friendly and there was virtually no wait before we were brought into the massage room.
Our massage therapists were nice, informative, and asked questions to gauge our level of comfort for massages. They made sure that the amount of pressure applied was comfortable and adjusted as necessary. There was also very soothing music playing in the background during the hour long massage.
The facility is SO NICE and beautiful and sterile. The rooms are large and spacious and so are their various waiting areas which have floor to ceiling windows that receive plenty of sunshine. Tea, water, and candy are provided in these waiting areas. There was also a cute little balcony that overlooked the city. After the massage, you’re encouraged to relax in these waiting areas until you want to check out.
For parking, go into the Viewpoint deck on Juniper St. between 6^th and 7^th St. You should see gates for validated parking that will bring you to upper levels of the deck. Art of Touch is on P2 and exiting through those doors will bring you right to the entrance of the massage place. When you leave, just have them validate your parking so it’s free!
Summary: I really really really enjoyed the massage and felt super relaxed afterward. Can’t wait to go again!

My fiancée and I scheduled a couple’s massage, both clearly requesting deep tissue, but we received more «relaxation-​style» massages that were wholly unsatisfying. To make matters worse, when we went to pay, the front desk clerk failed to run a Visa gift card correctly, so I was forced to use a credit card to settle the truly astonishing bill, which was too high to admit to the general public while maintaining any semblance of dignity. The soundtrack to this wasted afternoon was one of failed pop hits in the waiting room and the obnoxious spa music that complimented the facility’s hotel art as well as one would expect. I would have easily overlooked this had the service been more in keeping with the price and reputation of this establishment.
They validate parking and the waiting area is comfortable. Otherwise, look elsewhere unless you enjoy being charged an inadequately treated arm and leg for a lot of lotion and not much massage.

My boyfriend surprised me with a couple’s massage for my birthday. I’ve never had a fully body massage let alone a couple’s one so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
Art of Touch was kind of hard to find. It’s located on Peachtree but their parking deck (their shared one) is actually accessed through Juniper St. It is located on P2 and they will validate parking for you.
The entire ambience of Art of Touch is very tranquil. They have big, pane windows that cast in the natural sunlight. Overall, it’s a «good feels» kind of place. The place is actually huge! The lobby wraps around into another open space with massage rooms lined across the walls.
Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the two masseuses we had. I thought it was interesting though that I had a male masseuse and my boyfriend had the female masseuse.
As for the actual massage itself, I thought it was okay. While it was relaxing, I felt that the relaxation factor was more due to the dark room and quiet music. I actually ended up falling asleep. Personally, I would have liked a lot more pressure instead of just feeling like they are just rubbing circles into your body. I also would have liked if we could have wiped the massage oil off our bodies at the end. Mostly, I didn’t see the point of a «couple’s massage.» Aside from being together in the same room, it was two entirely separate experiences.
I enjoyed the hour I had to zen out and nap, but that’s really it.
TLDR; Get blackout curtains for your room, light some candles and incense, and take a nap. Save $ 100 dollars, get an equally satisfying experience.

My mom was kind enough to get both my fiancé and myself hours’ long massage vouchers from the Art of Touch for Christmas, and just last weekend we redeemed them for an hour of pure bliss.
From the first time I called to make an appointment, I had a good feeling about the place: the receptionist was great and in just a few minutes we’d found a couples’ massage space just a weekend from the day I called. Most of the time I expect to wait at least two weeks, but not so with this place — yes!
I’m used to trying lots of different massage places through the help of Groupons or LivingSocial deals, but even I was impressed by how nice this place is. The Art of Touch is located on the second floor in a prime corner spot in Midtown Atlanta and when we walked in, I was struck by how large and spacious the business is (unlike many of the smaller massage places I’ve been to). Wide windows of floor-​to-​ceiling glass for the sitting areas (of which there are about three), an outdoor patio where guests can sit and enjoy their waters, reading materials, lots of rooms for massages, and clean and airy and bright.
Just a few minutes after we arrived and were shown to a waiting area our masseuses arrived and took us back to a large (I mean very spacious) room for our couples’ massage. The room had a folding screen in one corner, nice dim lighting, a very tranquil sound system, couch and ample room around the massage tables (which were heated) to move.
I explained to my masseuse, Akiscia that my right hip had been misaligning itself (according to my chiropractor) the last few weeks and she nodded and then proceeded to knead me into a state of bliss. I can only describe it as her having magic hands (and elbows.) She did indeed pay extra attention to my lower back and hip area, but man, everything was like jelly by the end. There were times when I had to remember to breathe through some tender spots, but it was super. She even gave me some stretching advice at home to help keep my hip aligned.
By the time we were done, I couldn’t have been more relaxed if I’d tried. It was that good. The prices are a little steep if you’re paying out of pocket, but nothing worse than Spa Sydell, and I tell you, if I could afford it more often, I would definitely come back here. This place is da bomb!

You’re going to spend a lot of money to get a first-​class massage here. If you can stomach the budget, read on. If not, bon voyage…
Service from the first phone call all the way through signing out afterward was A+. The facilities are immaculate in terms of cleanliness (and lots of sunshine in the waiting area).
Came in for a massage and worked with Zeb for one hour. Told him to focus on upper back/​shoulders and he did a great job with that along with some leg work. Wife worked with Shelley and that went well too.
Just be careful with parking validation. The ticket validation is broken but Art of Touch kindly refunded us $ 5 for the parking.
If I were looking for a regular place for a massage, I’d definitely come here.

My visit here was exhilarating and refreshing — just what the doctor ordered! When I entered, I was immediately overextended with the tranquil yet modern space. I really enjoy the fact that they take the time out to see specifically what you want and how they focus, on not just massaging, but healing your body. My massage therapist was excellent! My experience here was definitely a pleasant and I plan to come back again and again!
