The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Uhm okay so I go to order a drink I say iced not frappé. I watch the chick make my drink you’d have thought it was her first day during the busiest time of the day at one of Americas busiest airports. Taking her precious time… Like no lie slow AF. Acting all graceful. Like thank the lord my plane wasn’t boarding for another hour! She took like 10 minutes no exaggeration. Anyway BLENDS my drink. I’m like okay I can deal just give my drink I won’t complain. But then spills like an inch of it all over the cup and the counter then tried to clean it. Then instead of somehow adding more to my drink she tried to top it off with whipped cream. And might I add, not even to the top of that plastic lid, I’m talking half melted half way not even mid way to the lid. But. The most annoying part of the whole thing was… Is want even good! So I trashed it. If your looking for the similarity of that caribou coffee shop at that other concourse I would NOT recommend this place and if you come here do it well before your plane is about to board

For a place named The Coffee Bean to tell me they don’t have coffee after 9:00 pm goes against the entire business model.

They still have the Dark Chocolate Mocha which for some idiotic reason they have discontinued here in the Golden State. The employee was super freindly and a perfect example of that great Southern Hospitality. The order was ready quick and I was on my way. Very pleasant experience here.

Martina was amazing! She shouted «Welcome to Atlanta» with a huge, genuine, welcoming smile. What a great way to be greeted when arriving in a layover city and a huge airport after the red eye from Vegas!!! Then, once she and the barista knew my name they addressed me personally. My delicious, dark chocolate mocha was ready before I even finished checking out! Any time I’m in Hartsfield-​Jackson concourse D I will be visiting The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf!

I ordered a vanilla latte with soy. The flavor isn’t too bad, slightly too sweet for my taste but still decent. I didn’t like how they used vanilla powder instead of vanilla syrup for the flavoring though. Service was good.

Quick and friendly service. Unfortunately the lines were long and they only had one register open. Their muffins make a good quick snack though!

The WORST Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location!
The two girls behind the counter were engaged in a conversation, totally uncaring that a customer had appeared; and when I finally got their attention, I was met with glares and begrudgingly slow service.
I regularly drink the CB&T iced blended mocha; but this location could not produce anything even close to the normal CB&T standard, even after two tries. The server spilled the first drink all over the outside of the cup and offered it to me just like that … when I asked her to wipe it off, she told me to give her a handful of napkins!
They do not accept Coffee Bean & Tea pre-​paid cards either.

Awesome friendly service!!! We were told «welcome to Atlanta» and after asked for my name, then everyone used a «by name» interaction throughout the time there. When given change or receipt, when picked up order and when departing their area. Was also told to have a safe flight. I ordered hot blueberry pomegranate tea… an order that can’t be messed up. This location in on Concourse D near 35 – 49 gates.

Worst blueberry muffin I’ve ever purchased at a coffee store. One bite and my mouth tastes like plastic preservatives for an hour. And my 3 shot cappuccino was almost as bad. Total waste of time and money. Worst coffee shop experience in years

I was in desperate need of some coffee when I arrived to Atlanta from Austin to learn my next flight was delayed. Got to love Atlanta’s reputation of never being on time.
I stopped here for a dark roast coffee and a cookie since near my gate. Well the cookies per the worker weren’t baked yet? Hmmm… Okay I mean it is after 9am and no cookies are baked? Wtf?!? So I decided, okay really the gods decided that I didn’t need anymore bake goods this trip. Whatever fine. I ordered my coffee finally after being in line for 5 – 10 minutes. It was super slow and painful because I had to wait more time for just a plain cup of coffee. I like how Starbucks will just pour it for you when you pay instead of having to wait with the other people who order more time consuming drinks like lattes, mochas, etc.
I will say the coffee was good and fresh but not necessarily worth the time unless you have time to kill and don’t mind useless conversations with others

I don’t drink coffee but I LOVE anything Red Velvet. I was sitting at my gate which happened to be RIGHT next to The Coffee Bean & The Tea Leaf. I hadn’t had anything to eat and happened to notice the Red Velvet Muffin in the case. Boooyyy my eyes lit up! It even had cream cheese in the center. Besides cream cheese this muffin also had chocolate chips in it. I decided I really didn’t need the calories from this muffin, but had to have it. I ordered the muffin and had it warmed just a tad. It was amaze balls! I gave my husband like 2 bites and I ate the rest! It was really good.
This was my first time trying this particular coffee shop. I have to give it 4 stars because considering it is a coffee shop and I don’t drink coffee, lattes, etc., it’s hard to give a perfect 5 stars. I don’t want to mislead people based off of a dessert/​pastry when it’s not a bakery. It’s a coffee shop and I’m not rating them on their coffee. I also don’t know how their other pastries taste. The 4 stars was simply for the Red Velvet Muffin.

I can see why this location has only two stars. Service was begrudging and slow, which is highly inconvenient when you have a plane to catch. The pastries are not up to Coffee Bean’s usual snuff. The blueberry scone, even though it was «heated up,» was room temperature. It was also oddly chewy. I like that in my bread, not my scones. Scones are supposed to be light and flaky. The chewiness indicates that the scones didn’t rest before baking as only working the dough will produce that texture. The only thing that was the same was my tea, which is easy enough as the only difference could have been the water. So it’s better than many places serving tea. But the service and pastry were mediocre enough that it cancels out. I’m not likely to come back to this location. Instead, I’ll try Einstein’s bagels in the center of the terminal.

No idea why the reviews for this location are so low, but… I like this place. I was looking for a light breakfast option and stumbled upon this place. The girls behind the counter were pleasant. They actually asked for my first name and placed a «Miss» in front of it every time they addressed me, which I thought was different in a good way. I ordered a pistachio muffin (SO yummy!) and a lemon chamomile tea (Can you say soothing?). This place is definitely getting worked into my plans for future flights.
Pros: no line, fairly inexpensive in comparison to other locales, friendly staff
Cons: No locations in Gwinnett. :-(

Deskisa and Tatyana served up a solid latte with a pleasant attitude and energetic smiles. They made me feel welcome and valued, and they suggested I add a pastry or water – I did not, but I always appreciate the upsell as it shows ownership. I will be stopping by when I’m in D terminal again! Of course, the coffee isn’t anything to rave about, but I’m not looking for raveable coffee – just pleasant service!

Awful. First time having their coffee and it was powdered. Caramel should be the syrupy liquid not a scoop from the powder bin. …and not stirred, so your teeth/​tongue can act as a filter for your less than delicious coffee.
It’s too bad your product is awful, because the employees were incredibly friendly. …but that doesn’t change my opinion. Boo :/

It’s 5:30 am and I just got to Atlanta. Barista recommended caramel latte (added over ice). SO good, saving my life right now. Sweet (not overly so) and strong.

The coffee and the service suck. One employee, Jasmine, she was taking the orders and was practically yelling at the customers and wasn’t very pleasant, she also messed up on a couple orders by forgetting things or not hearing right and rather than apologizing she would make it seem like it was the customers fault. The other lady who was making the drinks was texting on her phone. The coffee tasted like they forgot half the ingredients. I work in the industry so I understanding it can be a little frustrating and draining but a customer should never feel like they are inconveniencing the staff, considering it is their job to provide a service, not an attitude.

As far as coffee shops go in airports its pretty solid. The staff was super friendly, but they were out of a few tea items. If you have «Tea «in your name, I think you should stock up on it. I hate flying through Atlanta, so at least having a smiling face is a solid three stars in my book.

I got the earl grey latte and asked for no sugar because I didn’t want a really sweet drink. Just wanted tea with milk. But it turned out to be so sweet. Any latte you get here has vanilla powder added to it. Make sure to ask for sugar free vanilla if you’re not looking for a diabetic attack in the morning.
They were nice enough to fix my drink the way I like it.

Terrible service. I ordered a coffee and asked for it to be put in my insulated thermos mug, and the refused to do so. That’s the best thing I like about Starbucks or Pete’s, that I can get the cofee to go in my own personal mug. Plus they got the size I ordered wrong, and gave me a small instead of a large. I had to ask twice to get the right thing, and not even the way I wanted it.

Rude and lazy employees who obviously feel they owe nothing to anyone. Shut down early so they can go home. Clearly indicated a huge huge inconvenience if they had to serve me coffee 30 min before published closing. Atl Term D just sucks all the way around. Who runs these pathetic places ???

Concourse A– Staff is rude. Come on now its a cup of coffee… you’re not making an 8 course dinner.
FYI They’ll always charge you more than the prices listed on the display boards if you are not paying attention. It seems like they’ve been getting away with this for a while. If you do ask about the incorrect prices be prepared for the wrath of attitudes to come out at you.

Rushing to my gate to catch a flight I quickly grabbed a pre prepared chicken Caesar salad. I had to eat and had low expectations but this was much worse than expected. The entire salad appeared to have been frozen at some point as all of the lettuce was that soggy, see through consistency of defrosted lettuce. The chicken was also very low quality. I ended up picking at it briefly and tossing it. If I had not already boarded my flight when I opened it I would have taken it back for a refund. Very disappointed.

Horrible experience. Came here tonight August 30^th around 7:55Pm to get something to eat. The two employees behind the counter were just chatting & looking at us like we’re bothering them. My husband asked 3 times what kind of pastry they have & they both didn’t answer. When I was purchasing my hummus & pastry, the lady in the cash register said «ten more minutes & I’m out if this b*#%h.»
Really? Can you be more rude!!! Will never ever come back here. Poor customer service with really bad attitude employees. I hope the manager sees this & I can pin point the two employees. So shocked & amazed how brutal people are now a days!!!
I guess they don’t need the business ha?

I said most of what I have to say about Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in my review for the one on Concourse T, but today I found out that they are also on Concourse A, and with a slightly different selection! I had been prepared to walk to Concourse T for a real actual cup of tea, because this place acts like they know what tea is and how to steep it. When you get your tea, there will not be a teabag in the cup threatening to turn your delicious beverage into unpalatable stew. Employees here are helpful and have a good sense of humor, and gently steered the gentleman ahead of me toward English Breakfast when he said he mostly liked Lipton. I found myself caught between the cherry blossom green and the various Ceylon teas with the sure knowledge that I couldn’t choose wrong.
I like this place enough to review it twice for different locations in the same airport. If you find yourself in this airport, this is where to get tea.

Coffee Bean is something I usually get to indulge in when on the west coast, but they’ve made their way to my regular airport pitstop. While it is a nice alternative to my normal Starbucks, I’ll save my visits for California.
This time I got a chai tea latte. It was a little too much latte and not enough tea. I didn’t actually place the order myself, so I can’t complain too much. And I’m definitely willing to give them another try when passing through if the line isn’t too long.
