Toys R Us

It is a nice location, easy to find with lots of parking. The store is clean. Staff is friendly.

I work in Buckhead and every time I go into this store, the customer service is horrible. The employees aren’t helpful and seem like they don’t want to be there. I think I’ll continue to go to the Alpharetta store. They have friendly employees that want to work.

I might give 3 stars for average, but the Unilocal caption for three is «AOK» & mine was not.
Tried calling to see if they had a toy in stock. I’m 20 miles away. Tried for THREE days before anyone picked up. Then I got a «Please Hold» for another 10m. In the end, I spent 35 cell minutes to get a «We’re out.» No sorry. Nothing. Their customer service is seriously lacking. In the end, I guess I should be happy I didn’t spend my money there.

The staff was great when we told the. That it was my son’s birthday. They gave him a crown and balloon. They helped us try to locate a toy even though they do not carry it. The staff is a lot kinder than the Tucker location. The only crappy thing, which is not the store’s fault is Sunday morning. It took forever to get into the parking lot since everyone else was heading to church across the street. We almost turned around and I’m sure other non church goers did.

I have not been in to a Toys R Us in well over 15 years. I am here to tell you, if you are having a bad day and need a pick me up and a walk down memory lane, do yourself a favor and visit a Toys R Us.
Being the cool Aunt that takes pride in spoiling her neice and nephew, the selection at Toys R Us never disapoints.
Just when you think toys are way too high tech for even you to understand, you find something from your own childhood and everything comes back in to perspective. For example, I was lost amongst the Barbie Dolls, staring at the new outfits and accessories, the RV, Mustang and houses they had for sale and just when I was on the verge of giving up on all of humanity, I came across the bouncy ball. Do you remember the bouncy ball? Did you own one as a child or even now? If you don’t know what I am talking about, please stop reading. I don’t like you anymore.
The bouncy ball: a giant ball with handles meant to be held on to for dear life as you literally piss your pants laughing, bouncing and running in to objects or even other people. I grew up with 2 rough brothers and we’d have races throughout the house, even through obstacle courses with our bouncy balls until we outgrew them or had a blow out. Imagine my surprise and disapointment at my first yoga class when I was presented with a large ball but couldn’t find the handles. «We use them for stretching» said the oddly bendy instructor. Needless to say, I was crushed.
The bouncy ball selection Toys R Us has is small, medium and large. Sure enough, I still am able to ride the large bouncy ball and yes, I bought it! Hot PINK with glitter, handles that look like unicorn horns and enough air to bounce me to California. Go! Run! Go buy it! You’ll love it!
When I walked down the boys toy aisle with GI Joe, Lego’s and toy guns, I was drawn to the very realistic light sabers. These weren’t your corny, sliding kind that you would make your own noises with your mouth as you swayed them side to side. No, these lit up with different colors and made the electric sounding «woosh» as you swayed them. Why wasn’t I told about this? Welcome to my cart!
After walking around for 2 hours with a huge smile like I was 6 again, trying almost every toy I could touch, I walked out with a bouncy ball, a red light saber, a tent for my bed (remember those!?) and a fart gun from the movie Depsicable Me. Did I mention this was all for me? I was too tired to go back to look for more toys! Besides, I needed an excuse to come back tomorrow.

Had a promotion where if you spent $ 150, you get a free baby monitor; however, they were sold out of the monitors, as well as the substitutions, even though this offer was still going on for another week. This offer was the reason I even purchased my things from toys r us in the first place! Secondly, the price for my product rang up $ 120 but was on the shelf for $ 99 and the cashier was like «well, it rang up this much. It was probably in the wrong place». Um… Whatever happened to customer service and getting your lazy self back to the shelf and verifying it instead of just standing there waiting for me to give in to the higher price?! This happened twice with two different products I purchased. Even the manager seemed annoyed to go look in the bin where I got the clearance item from to verify that there were others of the same product in there marked at the same price. Bottom line, they had what I needed (for the most part) which is why I even gave them 2 stars. The customer service sucked so bad I wanted to give only one.

I laughed last year when I realized that I only go to Toys R Us once a year.
This year, I sent my 26 year old daughter in to seek out toys while I found a place to park. By the time I parked and went in, she was standing there like Mother, why did you do this to me?
We went in on Christmas Eve and you would not have thought it was the day before Christmas. People were still buy Barbie Townhouse, Jeep vehicles and seeking out toys to get the little kids in their lives.
Myself include.
I snagged a sales person and am upset with myself for not remembering his name. He was a top notch elf this year. He assisted me and two other people at the same time and each of us ended up at the register with age appropriate gifts and suggestions on making sure we remembered to buy batteries if needed.
I can only imagine having to clean this store up after people have let their kids run wild, but the staff here attempts to gets it done. The aisles stay clear and things are hung on the shelves in the correct spots.
This year, I wanted to buy my son a Hot Wheels Corvette. He’s 25 now, but I still drop a hot wheels car into his stocking every year. His birthday was two weeks ago, and he woke up and said he had a dream that I had given him a corvette for his birthday. Well, being his mother, I gave him the next best thing. I had to search for it, because the Hot Wheels cars are not hung up in any particular order, the guy says they come in various varieties in the boxes they are shipped in, so they are hung up that way also. I searched and searched for it and found it on the last rack that I looked on.
This is why I return to this location each year, its like Santa personally touches this place and you will find exactly what you are looking for.

A great thing about this Toys R Us is that it also has a section for baby stuff. It is not as extensive as say, the Toys R Us near Cumberland mall, but it is enough. We have gone here for some things we were not able to find at Target (such as pack and play sheets). I have also found some cooler bags here on sale (they also had other things on sale like diaper bags) and they generally have their baby clothes on sale every so often too so that’s nice. Overall, it’s a good place to pick up some baby items without traveling OTP but the store itself could use some improvement.

This is the best Toys R Us that I have ever been in.
They have such a larger selection of toys and other child related items than i have seen in a while.
I couldn’t find Toddler bedding and pillows anywhere locally. Stopped in here on a whim while visiting. huge selection…
It isn’t just filled with toys… loads of stuff.
they also have a good selection for babies as well…
so a Babies R Us and Toys R Us and etc all combined in one place.
Cashier was super nice and helpful with our coupons as well. She made sure we got the best deal.

What you would expect from a Toys R Us, but the Babies R Us section is pretty sad (1 star for that if I could rate them separately).
Parking down stairs in the deck makes it much easier.

When I go shopping at Toys R Us, admittedly, it is for my son — who is a baby. Thus much of what they have to offer isn’t what I’m looking for. I just like to be upfront about these things — fair review and all.
Anyways– this Toys R Us is smaller than most and their baby section is rather lacking. That isn’t to say they have nothing but I only go there if I know that they have exactly what I need. The thing is this store is old and it feels old and at times it feels disorganized. You would think that they could update their bathroom/​changing area — its down right depressing. I don’t buy into everything in Buckhead has to be Buckhead Betty-​esque but I wasn’t expecting other stores to outpace this one so much.
Anyways, I’m sure they have a decent toy selection and the staff is helpful. But, the baby section sucks. so there you have it.

The staff here are awesome. It is just like any other Toys R Us, same products, same layout, exactly what you’d expect. My daughter went berzerk when we were last here — pulling stuff off the shelves, wanting to touch EVERYTHING, shrieking with happiness. I did my best to clean up the wake of destruction she was leaving, but the people who were working the floor were so sweet, telling me don’t worry about it, let her have fun. Very, very cool :)

This Toys R Us is not cool. We were looking for a Ken doll with curly hair. Not only did they not have this, they only had 2 types of Ken dolls in the whole place! How do they expect us to make action figures in our friends’ likenesses?
