Great pizza and great service. Always tastes a bit healthier(way less greasy) than a typical pizza joint too. We are here twice a week. Great stuff.

Service was TERRIBLE… Just to long type. Snapshot… Long wait for food to come to table, wrong when it arrived, had to be sent back and another 40min wait… Among other issues… WOWTOTALLYUNACCEPTABLE!!!

Customer service is shit. They rush you through the pizza process and are very condescending. I have yet to eat the pizza and I don’t really care for it at this point. Management should work on customer service, hire some secret shoppers or something or read these reviews.!Will never return.

This is one of the most poorly ran restaurants I’ve been in. A number of the employees seem fairly incompetent and/or don’t care. Hopefully this place is replaced by a better restaurant when it fails. The only good thing is the chocolate chip cookies, but they rarely seem to have them… nobody wants the nasty other flavors!

Last night, Thursday December 3, 2015 starting at 9:35PM my wife and I were refused service at your location at Ansley Mall, 1544 Piedmont Ave NE #219, Atlanta, GA30324 which according to multiple sources including the location’s Facebook page closes at 10PM on Thursday — Saturday. At 9:35PM we called several times to place an order for pick up and no one answered the phone(At this point someone should’ve answered and at the least informed us there would’ve been a problem with trying to place an order). So we decided to drive to location from the downtown area to place our order in person. We arrived there at 9:43PM. My wife got out of the car to place our while I waited. She came back to the car and informed me that the doors were locked. She saw two employees inside but neither of them acknowledged her. So I went to the door and knocked to see if someone could inform me of why we could not be served. Even though the employees heard me knock they did not come to the door. I walked back to my car and called again. It is now 9:51PM and finally an employee who stated his name as «Shawn» answered. I asked him what time they closed. He told me that the location was closed at this time but did not offer to tell me that the location was actually supposed to be open until 10PM and when I told him that he informed me again that the location was closed and that we could not be served. I told Shawn that this was bad management and that I was unsatisfied with the service and wanted to speak with a manager. He told me he was a manager so I asked to then speak to his supervisor and he answered that he had no supervisor and insinuated he owned the business and stated he wrote his own checks. My wife and I both were upset not only by not being served after calling several minutes before the location was to close, but also by being ignored for several minutes by the staff who at the least could’ve offered an apology. My wife and I are paying customers and should not have been treated this way. This location is also falsely advertising it’s services by posting a closing time of 10PM on Thursdays. I would like whoever is responsible for us not being served to be held accountable. I would like a response from the proper personnel immediately in response to this horrible experience.

I really like this place and the good. Today was no exception. However the service was very sloppy.

This used to be my go-to pizza place. As a regular, I used to love Uncle Maddio’s for a quick pizza or just a big make-your-own dinner salad. But lately, service has been less than spectacular. I don’t know if it’s bad management(or no management), but most of the time staffers are standing around talking and ignoring customers. The other night, they gave away my pizza to someone else and never bothered to see me waiting for my food. They had to remake my order. Recently, a new staffer gave me a side salad of just lettuce. It was a bowl of lettuce(no tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.). They seem to have dropped their delicious balsamic vinaigrette dressing for a lot of unhealthier versions. I still do like the pizza. The crust is soft and chewy and a personal is a good size to not overindulge. But I wonder how long the business can last at this pricey location at Ansley Mall — as the last few times I’ve been there, I could count on one hand the number of other patrons. Come on, Uncle Maddio. You used to do so much better!

For GF pizza this place is amazing! Especially customizable gluten free! We GF’s have a hard time eating pizza and it’s great when you can find a good one! They put a lot of care into making sure your pizza is perfect.

Maddios is a great chain pizza place. They make pizza to order and have great sandwiches and salads. They offer a whole list of toppings and specialize in a 9″ personal size pizza. I especially like their chopped salad. My only beef about the place is the site I visit in Ansley Mall never has any silverware available. If you ask at the counter they say it all is in the dishwasher and will grudgingly offer up some prepackaged flimsy plastic ware. Come on guys buy more than 10 sets of knives and forks.

I really tried with this location of Uncle Maddios. I was happy to find a location near my office about 6 months ago and I come here for lunch at least once a week. Most of the time I have the time to allow the staff to correct service issues, but the last two times I just did not. 2 – 3 times now, there has been an issue with getting my food timely and getting an acceptable response from the staff. I have no idea why my luck is bad enough for more than three times, it has taken more than 20 – 30 minutes to get a small pizza meal. Once my order was just sitting on a table, the second, another person was given my order and today, they just«missed» it. When I asked about my food, each time I get the deer in headlights look of «I have no idea» before they had to remake my order. They are too disorganized and the staff seems powerless to deliver good service. After today’s hassle, I was offered a free meal certificate by a staff member, which I declined as I would rather drive to another location than be stressed for my lunch break. I won’t go back.

I have already reviewed Uncle maddios but I wanted to say that I had good customer service at this location. Everyone was very helpful especially the guy who brought out my food. Food was hot and fresh and what you would expect at any maddios if they do it right. Sausage, spinach and shrooms on wheat is my new jam.

The staff here is either untrained or really just doesn’t seem to care. Either way it’s a major turn off to see employees grabbing all the meats and vegetables with the same glove hand. The two girls literally cross contaminated every single topping. Ewwwwwww. If you are a vegetarian do not eat here. The pizza itself is average. If the cashier hadn’t been so nice this would be a one star review. Get it together and stop texting in front of the customers…

Worst experience ever here. I walked out. The white guy behind the counter was rude and has no customer service skills.

Stopped to have lunch the other day and saw Charles Barkley walking out, so I thought this place must be awesome! I might have set my expectations a little high but this place has a good concept. I compare it to the pizza and salad equivalent of Subway or Moe’s. Build your own pizza with fresh ingredients and have it cooked right in front of you. I opted for the house salad, probably try the pizza next time, and enjoyed it. Good portion and was prepared quickly, what really impressed me was all the ingredients were actually fresh. Sometimes hard to find that in other places.

Meh. Fresh dough but it’s all in all a little flavorless and not really the NY style that I prefer.

Wow. I wonder if this place got new management. Reading through some of the old reviews sounds like a horror, but when I went, there was no line, my pizza came out as ordered in a timely fashion and everyone answered my questions appropriately. And I liked the pizza! The crust was soft, yet crispy. The toppings tasted fresh. It was very oily(a turn off for some people, but a turn ON for me ;)). I enjoyed my experience and if I’m in the area, I’ll return. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is because it’s hard to give five stars to a chain.

I love this place! This is my new Ansley Mall home… and there was plenty of parking! The pizza and beer were both delicious. Also, the employees were amazingly helpful… suggesting the perfect toppings and beer. I had the BBQ chicken pizza and my boyfriend had a ham, pineapple, and red onion pizza. Both were so good! I mean we took forever to eat them because we didn’t want the savory goodness to end lol I also had a Kidd Black Lager beer suggested to me by the cashier there. It was one of the best I’ve had. It was dark and malty but had a surprisingly light, refreshing taste. If you love craft beer, try this one! I’m obsessed with finding new brewing companies so I was happy to do so here; this beer is from The Fort Collins Brewery(FCB). We joked around with the staff the whole time and met an employee who’s a GSU student so we got to talk about our alma mater. I will definitely be back whenever I’m near Ansley Mall again.

I went here twice within 24 hours of the store opening(don’t judge) and both times were fabulous. First off I love Maddios. This store stood out compared to the other locations in Atlanta because the customer service is absolutely superb. This restaurant has tons of employees who are all very friendly and happy to do anything to make your experience great. I love that about this restaurant. If you are are new to Maddios they sell personal pizzas that you can customize however you want. You order at a counter, advise them while they make your food, and then they bring it out to your table. Maddios gets extra points for having wheat, white, and gluten free pizza crust options. They have tons of very fresh ingredients and many sauce options for your pizza. While pizzas are what they are known for, their paninis are also amazing. On my most recent visit I tried a cannoli which was also delicious. The prices are very reasonable making it a great option for lunch or dinner. I think this is a great addition to Ansley Mall and will definitely be back soon! Welcome to the neighborhood Maddios :)

We stopped by after church on Sunday after listening to a friend rave about another location on the Perimeter. This was only the third day of operation and they definitely have some opening jitters to work through. We all ordered pizza, some build your own and some a Signature pizza like Bbq chicken, Spicy Italian, Simply Veggie. You get the picture. It was all tasty, nothing earth shattering, but okay. Still, the opening jitters were annoying. They were out of Diet Coke in the fountain machine. What, on the third day? Run to Sam’s Club and buy a couple of boxes of syrup or grab flats of cans. It’s called keeping your customer happy. When my friend inquired about the combo lunch special offered at other locations, he was told it wasn’t being offered yet because the trays weren’t in. When the owner/manager stopped by the table we inquired about it. He said they’re gradually rolling things out, not a good decision in my opinion. People expect the same experience at any restaurant in a chain, it shouldn’t depend on location. Why not borrow some from another location? It certainly doesn’t build customer trust. At checkout, my order was wrong. I got two distinctly different pizzas, but they charged me for 2 of the same kind. It was only a $ 1 difference, but I’m not paying extra because someone made a mistake. It took multiple attempts to fix. The cashier tried entering my credit card manually a couple of times. When I asked why she didn’t swipe the card, I was told the machine wasn’t working. Really, on the third day? I fear they’ve pushed their opening and should have waited a few days. With Panera Bread, Bantam & Biddy, Moe’s and Starbucks all only a few doors away, people won’t tolerate mistakes for long. The owner was there and his family was there, too, for support. I’ll return to see why everyone raves about Uncle Maddio’s, but I’ll probably wait awhile for operations to settle down. I’m certainly rooting for them.
