Jason at Urban Evolution is amazing! I had a horrible haircut from my stylist of five years, so I was super anxious about finding someone new. I found Jason through a friend. I scheduled for a consultation and decided to go for some highlights and a cut. He was very attentive and professional. Jason was also very careful about not cutting my hair too short and he even made a recommendation to just highlight my hair instead of dying my roots and doing partial highlights. My hair will be healthier in the long run and it also saves me time and money. It’s a win-​win! I am very grateful to have found Jason. Also, despite Urban Evolution being a salon inside the perimeter, they are not pretentious. The space is warm and inviting. Everyone was super nice.

I see Jason here and he’s great. He’s personable and does great work every time at affordable prices. We’re working on growing out my hair right now from a pixie and he’s doing such a good job of keeping my hair looking decent that no one can tell. The atmosphere is rustic chic and done very well.

Libby helped me totally re-​do my look, and it came out better than I had envisioned. I especially appreciated how knowledgeable she is about color, describing products and processes on a chemical level. I am new to Atlanta, and am so glad to have found «my stylist» :)

I found Jason and Urban Evolution Salon on Unilocal,actually. I’m new to Atlanta from Los Angeles, and am pretty picky about haircuts, since my partner is also a stylist (but doesn’t live here). I’m THRILLED to say that the Unilocal reviews were all correct. Jason, gave me THE EXACT HAIRCUT I wanted. It’s identical to what my partner normally does. And on top of that, he’s such a kind, fun person to spend an hour with. I highly recommend his services if you are looking for a fantastic all-​around styling session for an incredible price. I feel so lucky to have found him. I’ll be back.

I followed Jason to Urban Evolution Salon, and rightly so. Jason is by far the best stylist I have ever had in my life. He flawlessly balances amazing professional expertise with a genuinely caring and kind personality, and the results are always phenomenal. There is never a wait, nor any feeling of being rushed. He consistently takes extra care to ensure that he understands what I want. He recently provided an excellent recommendation regarding two products for curly hair, which I purchased from the salon. Since I started using them, my hair has natural bounce and fullness again (thank you, Jason)!
In addition, the salon is aesthetically gorgeous and immaculately maintained, with professional and courteous staff, and in an excellent location right on the beltline with ample parking for visitors.

Jessica is phenomenal. I’m the pickiest when it comes to my hair and she really understands what I want. I’ve tried several different styles; she always listens and provides excellent advice. She recently took my hair from medium brown to red and I’m thrilled with the results. Stylist for life.
Also, love Urban Evolution’s location and laid back atmosphere. And a little wine never hurt anyone. Studioplex has a decent amount of parking available (especially to the left when you enter through the gate), just avoid the Reserved spots.

Libby is my hair’s soul mate. I followed her to the new digs because I wasn’t ready to break up. It was a good move. UE is an awesome salon. They let their stylists focus on the needs of the client. I don’t feel rushed and I don’t get stuck waiting because appointments are over booked in an attempt to make the most money possible. Their staff are super personable. I’m always relaxed there and despite all sorts of processing going on I never get inundated with the awful chemical salon smell.

I am so glad I found this place! Maddy is amazing!

Urban Evolution is a beautiful, refreshing space with lively personalities (not pretentious AT ALL) and aesthetically-​pleasing décor. Atlanta’s salon scene is super-​saturated (which made it extremely difficult to find one that I love and will go back to time and again), but UE is one in a zillion!!!

Madeline was AMAZING! She took time to listen to me and for the first time, I didn’t leave the salon either crying or headed to CVS to buy another hair color to color it back! The highlights looked SO NATURAL and it complimented me well! Couldn’t have picked a better hairstylist for my wedding! She’s amazing! I’m just sad I’m moving away JUST as I found a great hairdresser!

I had one of my best salon experiences ever here with Shannon. Though I arrived (probably) infuriatingly indecisive, she was patient and thorough in analyzing, then discussing options and suggestions with me. She went above and beyond my expectations; I’m thrilled with both the cut and color. Ten thumbs up.

I highly recommend seeing Libby if you’re looking for something fun and funky! She is a genius when it comes to color and highlights. She listens to what you want and then suggests what is going to ACTUALLY work with your hair. Ultimately, she gives you an amazing style.

After moving from Austin to Atlanta, I was hesitant to try a new salon. I decided to purchase a living social deal for a cut and highlights because I am not rolling in the dough and happened upon Madeline. Madeline is a total breath of fresh air. She is super skilled at color matching and her highlights absolutely cannot be beat. The cut she gave me still looks great after two months! She is also an expert with the curling iron and I would recommend her to any woman looking for a place to get a formal occasion updo or a wedding stylist!
I am coming in for more color this weekend and can’t wait!

I rarely (read: never) go to the same salon twice, because I’m quite picky and typically always find something that I don’t like at a salon and go somewhere new the next time I need a haircut. However, I’ve come here twice for a haircut in the past six months; once to go from a shoulder-​length bob to a pixie cut, and am about to make my third appointment. Highly recommend this place!

I seriously had the best experience in all of my salon life today with Madeline. I have never had a stylist spend so much time discussing options for my cut and color and ask questions about my daily hair routine and products. And then after rocking out an awesome cut and highlight she spent a ton of time styling my hair and taught me how to effectively use a curling wand and flat iron to compliment my hair. I’m 40 years old and I’ve been in salons since I was 16 and I have never felt so informed, happy and special when leaving a salon. Thank you Madeline I’ll see you in 10 weeks!

Stacy has been cutting my hair for years now. I followed her here from her previous salon, and I am glad she moved because I love this salon space! Its very nice, lots of great product lines, always busy and fun, and in a great space in Inman park!
I recommend Stacy to everyone. She does cut and color, has lots of great ideas, and is just very good and confident in what she does. She’ll be my stylist for the long haul! Check her out!

I just had my hair done by Stacy and I haven’t stopped receiving compliments! She did both highlights and low lights in my hair and it looks awesome. She’s been doing my hair for several years and she recently moved to UE. I loooove the atmosphere in the salon and I really enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend her and UE salon to anyone — she can do no wrong!

So my hairstylist Stacy just moved to this salon. She is awesome! Of course, I am also excited that my new hair salon is in walking distance. The salon is located in Studioplex. The easiest way to find it is from the parking lot side. It can be confusing if you walk down the main alley way of the Studioplex complex because you see signs of a number of other salons but you cannot see Urban Evolution from this side.
Once you make it inside the salon, you are greeted by a friendly staff in a cozy hair studio filled with Christmas holiday decorations a week before Thanksgiving. Nice and festive. It was also cool to see all the Aveda products which of course smell wonderful too.
Great hair salon and staff. If you are looking for a fun, friendly, professional hair stylist, Stacy is the one.
