Concourse C does not have the greatest food choices. We’d already wandered all the way to the other end of the concourse and then back to here when we settled in at Victory Lane. It’s one of two restuarants in the concourse with a waiter and we wanted ot sit and chill out, so we sat down. Obviously it’s going to be expensive, it’s in an airport, but the food was impressivley lame. Very few choices, I think 4 sandwhich choices and 4 burger choices. I went with the build your own turkey burger option. The waiter asked me if I wanted mayo on my burger, to which I said no, but it still came out with mayo. Pretty bland food, pre-prepared turkey burger I’m sure with some Lay’s potato chips on the side. I’ve definitely experienced better, next time I’m wandering over to Concourse B.

The place has more than 10 televisions. After ordering an appetizer and two drinks here, I asked my server to change the channel. The screens had been playing two different games and now all 10 were playing one game. My server would not change the channel of one of the televisions to the one game I wanted to watch, citing bogus, irrational claims that aren’t worth repeating. I ended up paying upwards of 30 buck for a mediocre meal and zero service toward a customer’s wishes. I know these guys make like $ 2.13/hr, but he didn’t get a tip. First and hopefully only time I have to do that. Cheap, overpriced food, weak, weak service.

Airport food. My normal reaction — «yuck.» My reaction after finding this place? «That was pretty good…» I had a 3 hour layover in terminal B and so I skipped my typical fast food in favor of a place with an actual waiter — and alcohol. It always comes back to the alcohol so it seems… Anyways, the place was packed but luckily I stalked a table and grabbed it as soon as the poor guy got scared of me staring at him. I popped open my laptop and then was greeted by one of the friendliest waiters I’ve had in my life. Seriously, I wish he had a name tag on so I could name drop here and sing his praises. I ordered the turkey sandwich and a glass of champagne(ok, multiple glasses) and worked away. The service was quick and the table was comfortable. They even had a bar where I would have preferred to sit if I didn’t have a million emails to respond to. They looked like an entertaining bunch. So was the food good? Eh — edible, not bad — but not great or memorable. It was more the space that was appealing — and the alcohol. Did I mention the alcohol?
