Rodney was great, and did a great job. This is what I call a real barbershop, like the ones we had back in the good old days. Service is great. Be aware that some barbers take cash only.

Terrible barbershop. I went here and the barber pushed my hairline back over an inch and at the end I told him I needed my face done as well and he told me he had appointments. What barber will cut your hair but want fix your face. I recommend no one ever go here. I paid another barber at another shop right afterwards to fix my facial hair. The worse barber experience in my life!!!

Very cool barbershop with a great staff. This lovely lady cut my hair. She didn’t rush, took her time and did a great job. Will definitely go back again when I am in Atlanta. It’s located right across from the post office and it’s not in a crowded area so it was very easy to find.

I just left and while I have been here a few other time, I have decided to stop going here. Good price, $ 18, and Kevin the owner is a good barber but he always wants you to make an appointment, even when he is not busy and then he is not very accommodating. Since there is no online appointment system, you have to call. The shop needs a good cleaning and renovation and the two other male barbers smoke. If you don’t mind having a barber in your face who reeks of cigarettes, then they are decent barbers. No amenities and don’t ask to use the bathroom without a tetanus booster.

Update: highly recommended after coming here for a year. Kevin and Rodney are as good as they get. I drop in every six weeks and walk out with every hair in place. They’ve got solid radio these days, with a great mix of never-​say-​die classics.
Make sure to call ahead if you’re trying to get in during lunch or on Saturday. Closed Sundays. Bring a buck for the credit card fee.
Located right behind Domino’s & Mr. C’s, next to the sneaker shop. You can’t see the building from the street but it’s there.

I finally cut off ties with my old hair dresser because she kept misunderstanding my request. Now, West barber shop finally understood my needs (even with my vague description). The interior is relaxing and service was awesome. Only wished the hot towel was on for a little longer.
$ 18 per cut, $ 19 if using credit card. No remorse there. I’ll be coming back.

Having been on the road a good bit over the past year, I’ve gotten my haircut in all sorts of places. However, I recently changed jobs and have enjoyed being at home much more. Although, what I didn’t have was a barber shop I could rely on… but that has all changed ever since I was told about West Barber shop by a coworker of mine.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked in, but after having visited, I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather go! The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and they clearly have a strong following as the place was full on a Saturday morning, but despite the crowd, there wasn’t much of a wait at all. It just so happens that when it was my turn, the owner (Kevin) asked me to come over to his chair. I told him how I «normally» get my haircut, but after a quick evaluation if you will, he suggested that I let him try something a bit different… the result? Hands down the BEST haircut I can remember! Oh, the hot towels, razor neck shave, and back massage were all fantastic, and included in the $ 18 price. I only mention that because I’ve been to places like Sport Clips that charge extra for those services, but not here.
Overall, West Barber shop is a great spot to check out, and miles ahead of all the «chains». They provide old-​school service and awesome haircuts, and I would be hard pressed to go anywhere else from now on.

This is an old school barbershop. They are not into the latest trends. Rather, they cut your hair the way you want it cut. Although I will not disclose their identities, I understand that several local and national celebrities are regulars here. Kevin, the owner, is a classically trained barber from Europe who learned his craft from his father. Excellent cuts at very reasonable prices — $ 18.00 as of October 30, 2013. Kevin even takes appointments, which is not normal for traditional barbershops. Still, you can walk in and have another barber tend to your needs on demand. I have been coming here since he left Tommy’s at the West Paces shopping center to start his own gig, and I have never looked back.

These guys are awesome! I have been getting my hair cut by Kevin for over a year now and only go to West Barber Shop. Great atmosphere and great barbers!

Kevin knows what he is doing, make sure you make an appointment via phone if you want him. Price is reasonable for a haircut/​neck shave. Old school barber.

Great barber shop! I’m very picky and it’s hard to find a place that does a good job consistency but Kevin and his crew are top notch. They really care about the end result.
I highly recommend West Barber Shop if you are looking for a quality cut.

This barber shop is awesome. Kevin is a great barber and I’ve always been pleased with the haircuts I leave with. Everyone is super friendly. The best part is the prices are not bad at all. Paid $ 18 for a haircut. Looking forward to getting a straight-​razor shave next time I go in.

I’m still not convinced these guys aren’t KGB, but they give a darn good haircut. Everyone there has cut my hair at least once and they all know what they are doing. Kevin seems to be the most in demand barber. You need to call a day or two ahead for an appointment with him.
Everyone is very nice and most important, knows how to cut hair.

This is a good barber shop. I switched from American haircut in midtown to west Barber.
But AH has greater atmosphere, which I do not care so much.

Wouldn’t really consider this the «old fashioned» barber shop. I walked in, Katy Perry was blasting from the speakers, and wasn’t really made to feel welcome in the few minutes I hung around before walking out and looking for another place to get a cut. To me, the old fashioned barber shop is one of hospitality, and thick with tradition. I’m sure it fits what some are looking for, but for me, this wasn’t it.

It had been years since I last used this shop. Stopped by last Saturday and took whoever was available. It was my lucky day! Maria did an excellent job cutting my unruly hair. She knew right away that, in order to do the job right, she would need to use scissors instead of electric shears. I have paid a lot more for a LOT worse results.
Nothing shady about the place. This is a classic 50 – 60’s style shop. It’s been there since I came to ATL in 1974. While I was there two people stopped by to say hi and talk w/​o getting haircuts.
I’ll be going back in 30 days.

West Barber Shop has been in the same location for years. The barbers have changed over time, but Kevin and his crew have continued to do a great job. This is an old-​fashioned shop, where quality and service reign paramount.
I have used this shop for years, and Kevin has added a higher level of attention to detail and top quality service, all for a reasonable $ 17 for a haircut. This is not a salon — but who wants it to be? I recommend wholeheartedly.
