As always the Whiting sandwich and hush puppies are outstanding.

They do fish right! I’ve only tried the trout, but the portions are generous and the fish is fried perfectly. Not too crispy like it’s been fried to death and certainly not too soft. Perfect. The batter is pleasantly seasoned without overkill. Not bland at all. And the tartar sauce is the best I’ve had at a restaurant. The red beans and rice has a little kick, the beans to rice ratio is good and the rice is always nice and fluffy. It offers a nice compliment to the fish as well as the coleslaw which is nothing basic. It always tastes like it was freshly prepared that day. The location is nothing to look at and I always get my food to go, but I’ve been about a dozen times now and I have never been disappointed with the food… and the sweet tea couldn’t be more perfect, by itself or mixed with lemonade. Lick smacking good. The 5th star is missing from this otherwise perfect review because I’ve noticed that the young lady(the one with the ring in her nose) that works the counter sometimes uses bad language in front of customers. I don’t want to hear people cursing at or about their co-workers when I’m patronizing a business. She’s always polite to the customers, but ijs. Miss me with that!

This is the best restaurant I’ve been to!!! I came from Dallas and their catfish was great! It tasted so fresh like it just came from the ocean. It was the best I’ve ever tasted! I recommend anyone to try this place and the employees were all nice.

I was so excited to try this place as there is such a lack of quick fried fish places in the area. The customer service was great. The food didn’t take too long to cook, so the wait time was reasonable. The price point was ok as well. I ate my food at home and immediately got food poisoning within an hour of eating it. I will never return to this place! You’ve been warned!

Okay so that was delicious. Before I forget to mention it, I never ever really eat hush puppies from any restaurant. However, these were the first hush puppies I had in my life that I can honestly say I enjoyed! They were slightly crispy on the outside with a soft breading once you bit into them but the best part is the light buttery taste that comes along with it. I ordered 2pcs of whiting, baked beans, and potato salad. I was kinda upset that the potato salad had some spice in it because I just can’t do well with spicy food but it was still very nice! I made sure I sampled the whiting before I dressed it in condiments just so I could see how it good it would be without anything on it. It was seasoned very nicely! I could’ve ate the darn things without any ketchup and tartar! The baked beans were on point as well. Definitely going back to this place. They had so many options on the menu, I almost became overwhelmed with the selection! I definitely gonna sink my teeth into the catfish nuggets on my next visit. I heard the customer who ordered after me get them and it almost made me change my order! However, whenever I go to a new place I always like to try the basics first before moving into the more specialized selections! Customer service was fantastic and I probably waited no more than 7mins for food that was obviously cooked to order and not sitting under a warmer all day waiting for someone to buy it! They’ve got my vote!

A must stop for a fried whiting sandwich, bean pie, and hush puppies every single time I’m in ATL. I refuse to leave town until someone drives me there!

When I first pulled up… I was thinking, this is like captain d’s. But incorrect I was. They sell trout, catfish, talapia, shrimp and wings. All was great! Yes. i had all of it. It was my first time… so I had some what of a sample platter. My wings were(6) hot lemon pepper they came with a side of fries($ 4.95). I was disappointed because my wings were not wet and the lemon pepper was sprinkled on them… but the cooks at Yasmins’ s know exactly how to do because it was delish!!! Shrimp was(3) pcs and(2) pcs of trout($ 7.95). She said the trout had more bones… i didnt have any. Trout appeared to be fried in cornmeal and shrimp in fish fry. both were cooked perfectly. Catfish looked like talapia. It was ok. I think I was just excited about all of it. I’m a first-timer at Yasmin’s… but it won’t be my last!!! Good job people on Ralph Abernathy!

For some reason they would try to pawn off these terrible dinner rolls despite my own foresight in telling them«no rolls only hush puppies» like I’m reciting a pledge. Then to top it off they act like I don’t eat here 3 – 4 days out the week… Just don’t let them grift you on the salmon portion size by giving you the thin tail

Ok so this place is pretty legit! I was hesitant to try the cole slaw but it turned out to be rather tasty. I had the fried trout and it stole the show with the cornmeal coating. Even though the décor could use some updating, its good where it counts. This is definitely going to be one of my go-tos!

Reminds me of down home cooking when moms used to cook fried fish for the family… she still does cook by the way. The seasoned cornmeal they use for their various seafood items is par excellent! Very tasty. And best of all, they cook to order so the food is piping hot when you get it. One of the best seafood restaurants in the area in my humble opinion… good southern seafood cookin’!

Gem near no where even though it’s a chain. It’s all fried all the time, but it’s all fresh except the okra, onion rings, and shrimp which are frozen then fried. The trout nuggets were great. I don’t think I could ask for more fresh or crispy. Yum and yum. Cons– Well it’s in a pretty strange location south of the 20 west of downtown. I only stumbled across it because I was looking for some random restaurant that I have no name for nor have I discovered yet. I felt a lot like Barney on «How I met your mother» looking for his burger joint. All in all, I’d stop again if I was close to it and needed a cheap tasty fried fix.

The service was good, the food was great. The catfish was fresh and hand seasoned. They had a wide variety of seafood and sides to go along with it. I ordered the catfish with a fries and red beans and rice. The red beans and rice was the best that I’ve had from a fast food place. My next visit to GA will include a trip here. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I’ve had better in Dallas. But so far this is number 2 for fish.

For fresh and fast well seasoned fried fish try Yasin’s. You can choose from whiting, trout and catfish fillets as well as jumbo shrimp, popcorn shrimp, chicken wings and strips. The best part is everything is hand breaded and cooked to order without the heavy grease and oil. It tastes homemade and goes well with side items like potato salad, red beans and rice, pasta salad, shrimp gumbo and hushpuppies. Desserts are also delicious including Lemon Pound cake and Bean Pie. Set up like a fast food establishment, you feel like your getting a good quality meal. Yasin’s is locally owned and operated with seven locations.
