Traditionalists will gravitate toward the classic flavors of Red Velvet, Vanilla and Chocolate Buttercream. Those with a taste for adventure can try slightly more daring varieties such as the Candy Bomb (a chocolate cupcake baked with toffee, Oreo cookie filling and Reese’s® cup icing), Pig Tails (a maple flavored cake topped with butterscotch icing and crispy bacon) or the limited-​edition Elvis (a moist banana cake with raspberry jelly filling and peanut butter buttercream), which is only available when Elvis is in the building.

Anytime I go on vacation, one of the first things I do while planning it is to look for local cupcakeries. Boardwalk Cupcakes was the only cupcakery that showed up in my search, so of course this was a must. Located conveniently right off of the boardwalk and attached to Bally’s, it’s super easy to find. And the cupcakes are super good! I settled with a peanut butter cup one. It was DELICIOUS. Moist chocolate cake with a peanut butter frosting and peanut butter cups on top. Yum!
My only regret is that when they asked if I wanted more than one, I said no. I really, really wish I had said yes to this because Boardwalk Cupcakes wasn’t open before we left the next day so I missed out on another one. Next time!

Cute shop. We tried several flavors… all were yummy but if you like coconut you must try the coconut macaroon cupcake. It was our fav!!! We got 6 cupcakes for $ 16 so it’s a little pricey but if you like cupcakes… you won’t be disappointed with these!

When I read that this place has alcohol-​infused cupcakes, I knew I had to try it! We got the Jack & Coke and Rumchata Fireball. I loved the Red Hots on the Rumchata one — haven’t had those in years! Both definitely tasted like the drinks and they weren’t overly filling/​heavy like a lot of cupcakes can be. We weren’t in a food coma afterwards! The staff were really friendly and fun, and the shop is really cute. I’ll definitely come back here next time to try more flavors (apple pie one is on my list)!

I had no idea there was a place where you can get alcohol infused desserts, but I was so happy I found this place! A group of my friends and I were celebrating my best friend’s birthday at Caesars on a Saturday, and my friend and I wanted to give her something alternative to buying her a bottle. I looked up ‘cake shops in AC’ and Boardwalk Cupcakes was the first thing that popped up. I was even more excited to find out that they sold «intoxication» cupcakes.
We bought a Margarita and Pina Colada cupcake, and they were the cutest! Our friend loved it, and was even more surprised to find out it actually tasted like the drink. I was pretty tempted to buy a few cupcakes for myself, but maybe next time now that Boardwalk Cupcakes is on my top list of cake shops in AC!

We had a variety of 6, peanut butter, strawberry shortcake, green tea, cant remember the rest but ALL of them were good. Texture of the cakes were great amd the flavors were distinct. A bit pricey from what Im used to but we are from VA so not sure if it was just a regional thing. Good location and was packed everytime we passed by the store while walking on the boardwalk.

Well this is a cupcake place. Boardwalk cupcake is clean, has its cupcakes presented well, and offers some unique options like Green Tea Cupcakes. However, the icing for the cupcakes is near abohrent, tasteless, and just plain suggary. Mind you they also double charged my card for the cupcakes I got.
PROTIP: Apple Pie Cupcake is one mean cupcake that you just have to try.

I did stop here just because was part of the Scavenger hunt of Unilocal’s Winter Break III, they have a special when you did check in on Unilocal buy 2, and get the third one for free.
Lots of choices but I didn’t read them all, did not have time for that.
I had the oreo chocolate one I am not a big fan of cupcake, but this one was pretty big and had a good taste, so if you want some sweet stuff and you a near the area you must hit this spot.

While writing this review, I struggled between giving this place two or three stars. It seems like everyone wants to cash in on the cup cake frenzy but sadly this place needs some work. The store is the only bright spot tucked away in that Twilight Zone between Caesars Palace and Bally’s.
When making a cupcake, the key ingredient is still cake. Unfortunately while a lot of attention went into the design and taste of the frosting, not much was applied to the cake. Like my fellow Unilocaler, I also went with the Banana Fudge cupcake. The cake portion was not moist, which probably dried up what little flavor was in there. Had it not been the frosting, the entire cupcake would have been my tongue’s nightmare.
The young lady manning the store was friendly, and very accommodating. I wanted to give Boardwalk Cupcake a third star based on her service and patience alone but, at the end just couldn’t do it.

So cool to find a little cupcake joint tucked slightly off of the beaten path in Bally’s! I visited this location as part of Unilocal’s Winter Break III scavenger hunt. At around 3 p.m. on a Saturday, the selection was broad enough but a little picked through. They had their original options, such as Red Velvet, Chocolate, and Vanilla, but some cooler options as well, such as their Green Tea and their Velvet Elvis, complete with peanut butter, jelly, and and bacon. Cute!
When ordering, I opted for a lighter option, the frosting-​less Apple Crumble, while my friends respectively opted for the JuJu and the aforementioned Green Tea. My Apple Crumble was pretty good, with juicy chunks of apple inside. The other cupcakes looked great, though one friends complained of too much frosting. Indeed, the frosting on the Green Tea was nearly comparable in size to the cupcake itself! I like a higher cake to frosting ratio, personally. My friends seemed pleased with their cupcakes, but not about to shout it from the rooftops.
I would likely come back when in Atlantic City again, as it’s a nice place to get a quick treat. I’d also love to try their alcohol-​infused Intoxications! They had me at Piña Colada cupcake with mango rum pastry cream! *drooool*

I was so excited to find out there was a cupcake shop in the casino! And even better was a Unilocal check-​in deal for buy 2, get 1 free. After finding it tucked away in the Wild West section of the casino, I stopped in. Lots of choices but I didn’t read them all. All I cared was that they had chocolate with chocolate frosting and red velvet cake. Thank goodness they did, but I suppose those flavors are standard, right?
I snagged the 2 I mentioned and a strawberry shortcake for my husband. Like other reviewers mentioned, they were around $ 2.50-$ 2.75 each. The cupcakes were very moist and the frosting was delicious. The red velvet frosting was the taste and texture of cheesecake! Nice. Maybe next time I will try the alcohol ones!

The storefront is bright and fun, as a cupcake shop should be. The girl working the register was helpful and patient, which is obviously a plus. The cupcakes themselves were even gorgeous. They looked like artwork in a cupcake form.
Unfortunately, my cupcake was just so-​so. I went with the Banana Fudge cupcake and the actual cupcake portion was fairly dry and lacked flavor. The fudge frosting was good, but I really look for the entire package in a cupcake.
We were able to use the buy 2 get 1 check-​in offer which was obviously a perk, but my cupcake just fell short.

Cupcakes really puts a smile on a girl’s face.
Just had the best deal. Literally walked in thinking I’ll spend $ 5 or so for a cupcake. Check in, used my Unilocal deal and ended up with three cupcakes for $ 5.75.
My favorite is the chocolate fudge cupcake. Tasty and the chocolate melts in your mouth. Oh yeah, try it with a corona.

The staff was polite and quick. I asked what kind of cupcake was the special and was told chocolate with vanilla buttercream. It was mint. The cupcake was moist and delicious but I’m not a fan of mint icing.

The red velvet and the bacon cupcakes were slightly dry, the bacon one was not very tasty. But, their gluten free cupcake is by far the best gluten free white/​yellow/​non-​chocolate cake I’ve ever had.
The cashier had never seen the Unilocal check-​in deal before and it took her a minute to decide if she would accept it.

What a cute cupcake shop! They have all sorts of cupcakes for you to try… even ones with alcohol. Those were my favorite not only because I love alcohol but because they were so moist! My favorite was the Jack Daniels (very chocolatey and moist). Just to be warned… you do need to be at least 21 to try these delish alcohol cupcakes even though u can’t even taste the liquor. Not 21? Don’t you worry there are plenty of other cupcakes to try. I loved the banana cupcake… tasted just like the best banana bread. I also had a cup of hot coffee and it hit the spot as I tasted the delish cupcakes. Also look out for the adorable t-​shirts!

Was walking the boardwalk and saw an adorable cupcake shop that looked brand new. I go to AC a lot and am a cupcake fanatic so I had to stop in! The atmosphere of the shop is adorable. The cupcakes are all displayed beautifully and the presentation of each cupcake are stunning! I literally was in the shop for about 20 minutes because I just couldn’t decide which cupcake to try!
Since I love cupcakes and travel a lot, whenever I see a new cupcake shop, Ive decided to always try out their Red Velvets to compare to my favorite shops! Boardwalk Cupcakes’s red velvet was pretty perfect. I’m not a fan of whipped icing but this one was just right, the flavors were great and the cake was perfectly moist. The presentation of the red velvet was just plain, but I didn’t mind. Plus, the cupcake was only $ 2.50 which is a steal because I pay $ 3.75 for a sprinkles cupcake in NYC.
I also purchased the Velvet Elvis and Soda Pop and brought back home to NYC. My BF absolutely LOVED the Velvet Elvis! And I haven’t tried soda pop yet but I had to buy a fancy cupcake because the presentation was too cute. It even had a small pink straw out the top!
Loved this cupcake shop! I think it’s a new necessity whenever I visit AC. I usually stay down at the trop, but I’ll make the walk to get some great cupcakes full of flavor and beauty! I can’t wait til you bring a shop to NYC! :)
