Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City

Check in was a nightmare, front desk doesn’t know the difference between «the pool club» and the family pool. Gave us a smoking room because it will be near the family pool, when we arrived to the room and got ready to go to the family pool were told it’s closed until May. Why would you think we’ll go to «the pool club» with two kids? When I spoke to front desk, I was told, there’s nothing they can do. Thanks Harrah’s for making my children unhappy, we make sure not to come back here during Summer and we’ll make sure not to gamble here as well.

If I could subtitle this review it would be «Why do you hate us poker players?» So before I get started I want to make it clear that this review is ONLY for the poker room. So five of my friends and I get the brilliant idea last Sunday night, let’s drive down to AC and play in a poker tournament, we’ll play, eat, stay and have a grand old time. Yeah… about that.
As I sit down at the table, while the others are in line to sign up for the tournament and this place was a DISASTER. The ceiling was leaking from so many places that they room was littered with white trash cans to catch all the water… but that’s not the worse part. The poker chips were DISGUSTING!!! Now I’m not a germophobe in the least but there are some basic standards that we must agree on. The chips had so much caked on dirt and filth that it looked like the underside of a desk where a student bad a severe gum habit. They were filthy, dirty, disgusting, stuck together, and had everything on the planet caked or stuck to them EXCEPT… the !@#$ing denominations. Seriously there are no numbers on the tournament chips and when I asked the dealer what color represented what amount, even she didn’t know… and that’s not the worse part…
Then with six people already signed up and another ten in line, the poker tournament was cancelled. Sixteen buys (not counting re-​buys and late arrivals) and the tourney was cancelled *sigh* I don’t like it but I understand it and no that’s not the worse part.
The worse part was the complete and total lack of customer service!!! I get it, we’re not high rollers. We’re just a group of working class stiffs that wanted to come down for a few days but good lord, could they at least ACT like they wanted our business. With the tourney cancelled we were completely dejected so I approached one of the managers and asked if they were going to compensate us for parking, and I was told absolutely not. Seriously WTF??? We weren’t asking for free buffet or thousands of dollars in comps, I didn’t even ask for gas or toll money to be reimbursed, all I wanted was our parking covered, is that really such a chore??? IS good customer service really that hard of a concept? Yes, we’re just working class stiffs but if we visit once a month the revenue does add up. Instead we had a casino tell us in no uncertain terms that they don’t give a damn about us or our business.
I don’t understand how this happens because Bally’s (who has a great poker room but no Sunday tourneys) is a very pleasant experience and these two places are owned by the same company!!! So do yourself a favor especially if you’re a poker player and stay away from the leaky place with the filthy chips, unless you’re a super high roller they probably don’t care about your business anyway

My room in the Marina Towers was very clean and spacious, no complaints. Guest services were helpful and cheerful, always good. The parking was discounted to $ 5 at checkin and the Free total rewards shuttle bus to Ballys and Caesars properties helped me get to the boardwalk without having to move my car, which is a great win.
Search online and you can find free entry before 12am to the Pool After Dark, and there are drinks specials starting at $ 3-​$ 6 all night. It picks up after 11pm so get in before they jack up admission prices or pre-​order online directly from the Pool After Dark website to cover yourself.

An impromptu decision to go to Atlantic City was surprisingly accommodating. My bf and I arrived at 530 pm and we were told that there were no non smoking rooms left. After telling them that I would prefer a non smoking room they were able to accommodate us after a second and third look but our room would not be ready yet. As an apology, the front desk gave us a $ 40 credit and a free appetizer to go to McCormick’s.
We left our bags with the bell hop and went on our merry way. They were many changes to the property from the last time I was there. You can always find an alcoholic beverage anywhere. Food is available late night and a couple of ²⁴⁄₇ spots. By the time we finished with dinner our room was ready. I also like the fact that you can order a drink at the slot machine and it comes at a reasonable time. I will be back!

Room is decent. Ridiculously long walks to get anywhere though. Parking garage to check in, seems like it’s going from one side of the resort to the other. Bathroom was dirty though. That’s the worst thing about it. Mold on the shower curtain, hole in the tiles around the shower head, and the cap for the shower handle was missing. Needs some work for sure. Worth it for the price though.

My hotel stay was for this past Memorial Day weekend.
Check in is at 4pm we arrived early before 1pm & were able to check into our room, good start.
Nice room, clean, comfy bed with a nice view of the marina.
Once checked in we settled & made our way to get some food, Had lunch at Bills not bad food was good.
We didn’t try much else during our hotel stay the lobby bakery had a good croissant & good almond horse shoe cookie. Watermelon fruit cup was not bad.
Tried a pizza slice late night from The Pizza Joint the pizza was half cooked sort of, cheese was half melted.
After lunch we changed & wanted to relax at the pool till later now here is where my issues begin, The pool is only «free» to hotel guest before 12pm are they serious? That has to be one of the most pretentious things to do u are a already a hotel guest, yet if u want to go to the pool after 12pm u have to pay $ 20 dollars now Price wise not a big deal but still how dare they u are already paying to stay at the hotel!
I understand pool party’s are a big draw now a days I certainly enjoy them but I do not believed u should be kept out of your own hotel pool because of it they should at least offer hotel guest some sort of discount.
We were going to do it for like 2 hours since pool closes at 6, what the ?? It’s an indoor pool why it closes so early it’s beyond me we just wanted to relax but couldn’t because u need ID to get into the pool my friends ID was expired now I understand it’s not a good idea to have an expired ID but unfortunately u loose things & can’t replace it as quickly most places use good judgment or at least get a manager but the guy at the entrance was being an ahole about it didn’t even bothered to say «let me check with a manager“just flat out refused to let him come in not cool at all didn’t realize the hotel was in such good shape that u can turn away business. Unreal But whatever we left & enjoyed our day at the Ballys beach bar with no issues.
Next day up early & decide to try the pool figured we wouldn’t have an issue it was early in the morning 9 something same deal with the ID major difference the guy checking ID’s this time decided to call the manger that’s great & all we were asking for manager was ok with it after trying to find a seat inside another pain in the neck since the area is not that big & most of the chairs are already «reserved» such crap seems like all they want to do is get more money out of u we did end up finding seats & were able to relax for a few.
Another issue I had to throw away my drink that we bought in the lobby bakery because u can’t bring anything in but once inside u can’t buy shit till 1130am WTF? Seriously just doesn’t make any sense some one needs to figure out how to manage this place better.
Did end up getting a drink later on tried a Pineapple passion not bad.
Later on When we tried to see what maybe we could do about possibly getting something temporary at least for the night the people at the front desk were less than helpful they acted as if they couldn’t be bothered to even try to help u acting as if the Pool area is its own separate thing & has nothing to do with the hotel again I say WTF talk about being useless.
We didn’t even try to go to the Pool after dark on Sunday night since we didn’t feel like dealing with any more BS certainly the Hotels lost came to find out cover charge at the door was $ 100 a person they lost out on $ 200 plus of course money later inside on drinks. FYI we had no ID issues with any other establishment.
As for the hotel Itself although everything was ok with the hotel as far as the grounds the hotel can probably benefit from a nice face lift.
Hotel needs to work on improving customer service as well as management services things seem to be run with no kind of structure I’d have to think twice about staying here again.

I have been going to Harrah’s for years, it is my go to casino in Atlantic City. Here is some inside scoop…
Comp’s
I’m only a gold level total rewards member. When I gamble I only spend about $ 100– $ 200 for a night (I do go down at least once a month) I do get comp’s often which include comp’d rooms Sunday to Thursday (you only get comp rooms on weekends if your a high roller) buy one buffet and occasionally other comp’s, direct bets and comp dollars. There are a lot of tables with $ 10 minimum bet. (I play roulette, black jack and craps)
The pool (not the club)
The pool is for adults only. The actual pool (not the club) is open from 6am to 6pm most days and on Thursday they have adult swim until 12am (this is my favorite night to go, it’s a relaxing atmosphere where you can drink and hang out in the hot tubs and pool, low key, and not busy). The drinks at the pool are expensive. They do have a happy hour during the day 11:30am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm, you can get more info on their website. The pool is my favorite thing about Harrah’s especially in the winter it’s a nice getaway from the cold. They do have a children’s pool THAT IS ONLY OPEN IN THE SUMMER and is just a regular pool.
The pool (club)
It opens at 10pm. The nights are Wednesday (industry night) Friday and Saturday. If you are staying at Harrah’s you can usually get free passes to get in until 11pm. I would recommend doing this, because it can save you $ 20+ dollars for an entry fee. People DO NOT swim at the club. The hot tubs are closed, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone actually swimming. It’s club attire and you pretty much dance and mingle around the pool. It’s a nice atmosphere. Drinks are very expensive. You can rent a cabana and get bottle service, also very expensive.
Rooms
The best rooms are the waterfront tower, which are the newest. In my opinion the Bayview Tower is the second best. The marina tower, along with several other places such as the atrium, etc are outdated and old. Although I’ve never had an experience where I was completely appalled by any of the rooms. I firmly believe you get what you pay for, so if you want an all star experience upgrade to the water front tower.
Food
Buffet– is only open from 4pm to 8pm on certain nights. I would check the website for hours. The price is about $ 35-​$ 45pp. It is a decent buffet with lots of options.
Upscale– Martorano’s, The Steakhouse, McCormick and Schmicks. You will not spend less than $ 100 for 2 for dinner. They are all nice restaurants which excellent food.
Casual–
Bills Burger Bar– burgers and such, it’s open late and it’s a good spot to hit up for a late night snack.
Sammy D’s– a little nicer then a diner but honestly that’s about what it is a diner. Foods good, overpriced but you will expect this in AC.
Food Court– lots of «cheaper options» for the budget friendly.
The pool– serves lunch, it’s just sandwiches and such.
Misc
Other the the pool (club) there is not a lot of «partying». there is a bar next to bills burgers that does have live music and bands sometimes which is a fun place to hang out.
Parking
I don’t valet park. So I have no experience with it. I normally go during the week (When I have comp’s) and have no issues with parking, but I also avoid busy times and the weekends.
The beach
Harrah’s is not directly on the beach/​Boardwalk. Borgata, and golden nugget are also not on the beach/​Boardwalk. You will have to drive to get to the beach. An alternative to AC beach is brigantine, which is right over the bridge. But you will not I repeat WILL NOT walk out of your hotel to the beach.
I think a lot of things are based upon expectations. I can understand people being upset because they are uninformed or don’t know enough about the property because they are not from the area. I feel If you know what to expect you can have a much better experience, I hope my insights have helped. I will always love Harrah’s!

As many times as I been to Atlantic City, the first time I came to Harrah’s was on 8÷13÷11. I was going to The Pool After Dark. This resort is not on the boardwalk. It’s really nice inside, lots of slots, blackjack tables, etc. I’ve never stayed here overnight. It’s been mixed reviews but I have no complaints. I was able to find parking without a hassle. When I was leaving, it was after midnight so I didn’t have to pay for parking.

We did a quick getaway for our girlfriend’s birthdays. It was two couples. We stayed at the Harbour Tower from Friday to Sunday. Upon arriving we noticed that wifi was not free. Breakfast or lunch was not included either. You would think since we stayed there for a whole weekend that we’ll get complementary food. Breakfast buffet is $ 24 per person. There was a opened 2 liter water bottle in the fridge (making us think that they didn’t look or clean deep enough). Also, as we looked around the room, the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. The view is pretty decent depending on which room you get. Wish they had more convenient wall plugs and a radio with aux speakers.
We ate at bar and burger located on the lobby. I must admit, the BBQ bacon cheese burger was delicious.
Tipsy cream (a place where every drink or snack is alcohol infused) had some amazing drinks as well. $ 11 for the first drink and $ 6 refills (in any tipsy cream location). I tried the fruity pebbles drink but found it too sweet. Just got a refill of piña colada instead.
Dj Camilo was dj’ing on Friday night at the «Pool after dark» event. He had the place jumping. We were right in front of him and he shouted us out, played a requested song from us and took a pic with us.

We did a quick getaway to AC to debrief after a very hectic few months. I had very little expectation based on what we’d experience in AC, since there has been so much press about the dilapidation of the Boardwalk as several casinos have expired.
Considering all of the above, Harrah’s, as well as the remaining casinos were a pleasant surprise. The hotel is similar to what you’d find in Vegas, only much smaller. Their casino floor is very large and offers a variety of games, though slot machines are a majority of what you’ll see here. There are several different restaurants, and a mini food court within the building also.
Customer service is excellent. Everyone we encountered was amazing. During our hasty checkout, hubby forgot his Fitbit Charge in the room. The housekeeping actually sent it to lost and found and Harrah’s mailed it back a few days later. Very cool!
My only complaint is the room situation here. Harrah’s is actually comprised of several different hotel towers which each have a distinct theme. Some towers are newer than others which will impact your overall experience as a guest. The key to how you rate your experience will be determined by your choice of rooms, so choose very wisely. Currently, there are deals being offered for as low as $ 29 per night plus taxes and fees. Really this ends up being something like $ 60 after all is said and done, still not too bad. However, that price is only reflective of the oldest tower on the property. If possible, avoid that at all costs. I would recommend getting one of the suites or into the newer towers if you’re someone who spends time in the room or prioritizes updated rooms. Like the old saying goes, «you pay for what you get.» Reviewers that expect Buckingham Palace for cheap are insane. If you want the penthouse suite, you’ll have to book it and pay the cost. However, I’m inclined to believe that Harrah’s has made two of their towers reasonably inexpensive to attract guests to stay and spend money on food, alcohol and gaming. With consideration of the prices here, they will more than account for the loss on the rooms by the end of your stay. Our stay was comfortable, the room was clean and most importantly we had an amazing time.
The pool is one of the main highlights at Harrah’s. Check out my review on that also. As it stands, Caesars, which owns several properties is also having financial problems, so this could greater impact the tourism here. Hopefully, they are able to keep people visiting, such a fun place for people to visit on the East Coast.

I stayed at Harrah’s overnight for a 2 day conference and had a much better experience this time around, for what it’s worth. I was able to book on
for $ 88 a night (which included the resort fee, a free parking voucher and a $ 20 Food and Beverage credit).
Luckily I was able to check-​in around 1:15pm and was not charged an early check-​in fee. My room was clean but had a faint smoke smell and was a little musty. The bathroom light also flickered and buzzed, so I’m taking off one star. Also, the tv was out of service for a period when I tried to watch the news in the morning. However, the bed was comfortable and the ventilation in the room was better than my last visit.
I was in the Harbour Tower which is the farthest from the conference area where I had to be for most of my stay. The conference area was very nicely decorated and easy to navigate. I used the fitness room (on the 3^rd floor of the Harbour Tower) which was small but efficient with 4 treadmills, 1 elliptical, free weights and a few machines.
I used the $ 20 food and beverage credit for breakfast at Sammy D’s, which I had eaten at before. Basically they are overpriced diner food in smaller portions.
Overall, I wouldn’t mind staying at Harrah’s again for another conference.

It’s a little hard for me to be too heavy handed, because the casino is great fun. But the room was horrible. It looked like it had been trashed by teenagers many times in the past. The Air conditioning was broken and took a trip to the desk to get maintenance. The alarm clock was smashed. The carpet had vomit stains. The furniture was dated, scraped and banged up. The ceiling had water stains. It smelled musty and moldy. We were offered an upgrade upon arrival which was declined (having yet to see the gross room). When we called the desk half an hour later to report the various problems and request another room they told us «no more rooms, no upgrades available.» Amazing.
If you’re planning to stay here, plan to spend as little time as possible in the room. Stay out late, gamble your face off and stumble back drunk into the darkness, because the bed was actually reasonably comfortable. I will never stay here again (though I will gladly take their money in the casino).

Came for a return visit to see Morris Day and The Time at Harrah’s. Got comp tickets to the show and a comp overnight stay. Check-​in was no hassle and we were given a room on the 10^th floor Waterfront Tower. The room was spacious and clean.
The show was AWESOME! There was an intro in memory of Prince with a short video featuring pics of him, Morris and The Time with the stage background lit in purple. The audience went crazy! Morris then made his entrance and we were treated to a wonderful medley of hits featuring the antics of Morris’s side kick Jerome, with the mirror and all, dances based on some of their hits and even a segment where ladies were brought on the stage where hilarity ensued. This was one of their best concerts to date.
After the show, we walked the casino floor, dropped a few coins in the slot machines then headed up for a good night’s sleep in preparation for our ride back to Bmore. A wonderful time indeed.

One of the nicest places in AC for sure but they certainly do work that angle and make you pay for it.
Good: rooms are spacious and very nice. Staff is great. I ordered a room service surprise for my gf’s bday and they delivered perfectly. The room service people I spoke to on the phone in advance were also super helpful. The casino itself is very nice.
Bad: pool party is insanely overpriced. $ 30 cover at only 11 pm. Seriously ?? No other entertainment around the casino. Restaurant situation also leaves a lot to be desired. We left for all meals.
Finally the surprise resort fee when I checked out costing another $ 50 or so for 2 nights wasn’t my favorite way to end a weekend.
Overall — nice place to stay for many reasons if you want to spend the $$. Around $ 10 cab/​über if want to go to borgata or strip.

After a day of eating, drinking, and gambling there was no way we considered going home. This being my first time at Harrah’s I’m keen to give it a fresh unbiased review. Is anything really unbiased? I suppose not, but I’ll try to be fair nonetheless.
The counter staff upon check in were awesome; friendly, cooperative, funny, and a pleasure to interact with. We were given a room on the fifth floor. We noted that the room was right next to the elevator. Not always a good sign but neither of us heard it during the night so it became a non issue.
Entering the room for the first time we immediately do a bedbug check. One of the worst things I can imagine is being in a room infested with bedbugs. No problem there. Looking around the room at first glance I would say that it was clean but closer scrutiny revealed dust in corners and mold in bathroom crannies. Not a game breaker but duly noted.
AC worked rather well and wasn’t too loud to hamper non interrupted sleep. The décor seemed to us a bit dated and worn as indicated by a couple of my pictures.
Very quiet during the night, so no complaints there. Maybe not my first choice, I could be persuaded to go elsewhere but would return here again.

I don’t usually have allergies but this place made my eyes watery and my nose run. My husband and I brought our toddler here and he kept coughing ever since we stayed in this room. Was it too much dust or was the ventilation poor? Whatever the case, we are packing and leaving.
How do you expect to keep customers coming back when the hotel is rundown and it’s worst than staying in a motel? Smh.

I stay here about 2 – 3 times a year, usually for conferences. The rooms have become unbearable. The mattresses are simply uncomfortable and old. The rooms smell bad, like an old 70’s motel room., the carpet is gross. These rooms need major overhauls and please open the windows, they stink.
I am not much of a gambler so I won’t comment on the gaming floor. I do like the bars, the new bar in the lobby is nice, I love the phone chargers at the seat, but the bartenders are weak, one was downright mean.
The food is fair, Dis Cominos is nice, Bills is good, McCormick was fair to poor at best.
If you have to go to AC, it’s actually one of the better choices, Borgata is better. But overall I have to give it a poor rating because there is no money being reinvested. It needs a major overhaul.

I don’t gamble, so this review is really more about the accommodations.
I also stayed at Caesar’s, and will say Harrah’s has a younger, livelier crowd. The bars were sparsely populated even on off peak nights, which is more than I can say for Caesar’s. No casino in Atlantic City seemed to be, ahem, «popping» too late into the night on a Monday. The games are quirkier and appeal to said younger crowd.
The large indoor pool is absolutely gorgeous, with sunlight streaming in through the ceiling and plants everywhere. There are four hot tubs that have jets for both your feet and back, as well as a bar. But the HUGE downside is that the pool closes at a ridiculously early 6pm. On weekends it morphs into a nightclub with… no swimming. I will never understand the appeal of partying around, but not in, a pool. All that aside, I don’t see the logic in kicking people out of the pool so early when the space isn’t going to be used for anything else. We had no idea it closed so early and only got to spend about 20 minutes there before we were told to leave. The pool was the main reason we decided to stay at Harrah’s for a night, so just keep that in mind if you’re coming here for that feature in particular.
We stayed in the Continental tower (I think) and the rooms were not as nice as the ones at Caesar’s. The walls are rather thin (sorry neighboring guests), our king sized bed had this weird… bump in the middle. I don’t know what else to call it and it made sleeping slightly awkward. Pillows weren’t as soft, soap was brutally drying on the skin, you use up most of a single bottle of shampoo trying to get a lather going– definitely bring your own toiletries. Our mini fridge was missing a shelf– less places to hold beer, it matters! They don’t give you glass cups, the room only has plastic. For some reason I could not seem to get the fan to switch off (it was on when we arrived, in March), so the room was always chilly. The view however, was absolutely lovely, as were the bathrooms. Walk in shower with a bench inside and glass doors (although Caesar’s has these things too).
You get free wifi on two devices, which, I mean good, but why not just make it free period? I had almost no service in my room anyway, making it a bit of a necessity.
Xhibition Bar is circular in shape with ambient colored lighting and had the sweetest bartender who could not have been more accommodating. They have card game screens to play right at the bar, and couches and chairs along the edges.
I think Bills Bar & Burger is the best mid range option for food at Harrah’s. It’s perfect if you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg at a steakhouse or seafood joint, but it’s better than one of those food court style places.
Overall, I’d pick another casino to actually book a room at, but it does just fine in other areas.

This was my third time staying at Harrahs. I’d booked two seperate reservations, one through Groupon for two nights with a $ 50 dining credit and one night via Caesars’ website. The front desk reservationist was very helpful, she combined both of our stays and gave us a room for 3 nights in total. No checking out at 12pm just to check back in at 4pm, yes! Thank u Creator! We also wanted certain amenities in our room that she was able to get for us. Three stars alone just for her customer service skills, she was friendly and accomodated us as best as she could. Wish I could remember her name :/
We stayed in the Harbour tower, Room 524. We had no complaints about our room, at first; It was clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was big. As the night progressed we noticed the couch was absolutely disgusting! It was stained and so were one of the desk chairs, Ewwww! We were not even thinking about sitting on those things let alone going anywhere near them. The next morning I opened the curtains to let the sun in and our view was of the ventilation system and a sad excuse for a «harbor». Like come on, a pond and the ventilation system?
We decided to use the $ 50 dining credit towards room service on our first night. Two orders of pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon for a total of $ 50. We were told there would be a 60 minute wait, which was understandable at 1am, but it only took about 20 minutes which was nice surprise.
Other nights we dined at restaurants within the hotel/​casino, which were a bit pricey but still enjoyable. My favorite still has to be Dos Caminos, their plantain empanadas are so yummy! We had no issues with housekeeping and the noise from our neighbors was minimal.
Harrahs is one of the only hotels in AC that offer smoking/​non smoking rooms. To anyone who might have an issue with smelling smoke or smoking in general, stay away from here. Whether you opt for a smoking room or not you will smell smoke. Soon as you hop off the elevator di smell ah di herb an cigarette ah ovahtek unu! Especially in the Bayview and Harbour towers. Keep that in mind.

My husband and I stayed here for a short getaway. We had really high hopes for Harrahs, but I don’t think we would return. Upon arriving, We checked in, which was probably the most pleasurable engagement we had with the staff.
We were put on the 29^th floor, in the waterfront king room we reserved. As we entered the room, we were impressed… then we looked out the window. My heart sunk. There was a view of the water (way to the right), but it was more a view of ugly parking lots and things. The room was also worn and very loud. The bed was comfortable and the shower was roomy.
Next we found that the safety lock was broken off the door, the hand towel hanger was broken, there was a broken tv (with a working tv in front), and we had a bathroom door that would not close without multiple, loud slams. We began to feel disappointed. We decided that we did not feel like moving all our stuff, so we stayed.
Throughout our trip we ate in the food court (Italian place and donut place). The food was alright, not great. We gambled some, but found that they needed more of the better quality slots. We also noticed that the entire place reeked of smoke. This was not the case at Caesars.
At the end of our stay we checked out and that experience was nothing like our check-​in experience. The woman was very rude. Because there are so many other places to stay, I think we would pick another hotel (probably Borgata).
