Quality Inn Flamingo

September 2015: This place was awesome for the price. It was a block from the beach, so the view from the balcony from my room was great. I would definitely recommend it and I would go again. Oh yeah the rooms was very clean.

Never again do I stay here! The pillows were awful. Free breakfast was not appetizing at all!!! Dining room was packed– way too small. The staff was nice but the patrons were questionable. Shady place!

Horrible!!! I would never stay at the quality inn again! The rooms smell, the people at the front desk are not helpful, the towels in our bathroom were dirty, they served cold sausage and eggs for breakfast. I went to use their fitness center and it was a joke! Their equipment was all run down… the treadmill did not work nor did the elliptical work. The weight machine was falling apart too! The only thing great about the quality inn is that it’s close to the board walk … Other than that the place is a complete dump! Spend the extra $ and go to a more decent place!

Decided to stay here due to the cheap price && the good reviews. Check in was quick, the room was clean and cool. We skipped out on the breakfast. Close to Tropicana which is a major plus. Just REALLY didn’t like the fact that check out is 11 am && we had to pay an extra $ 30 just to stay until 1pm. Especially for a Monday when its pretty dead in Atlantic city. Overall a decent hotel I would stay here again if I’m lookin for a hotel cheap and decent.

Noël charged me $ 25 for parking instead of $ 10 would not refund the difference and told me I can dispute the $ 10 on the credit card also the air conditioner wasn’t working well in the room had a lot of little bugs. Parking was supposed to be $ 15 total but was charged 25 for early check in

We stayed there on our Anniversary Aug. 30 – 31 the room looked just like the pictures online and this is rare with most other hotels. It was clean and the bed was soooo comfortable we felt like we were home. The management staff was truly amazing and very professional in my opinion

We stayed here for an overnight at Atlantic City We really were only in the room from about 4am until 11am. Parking was strange and I felt really cautious about leaving my boyfriend’s BMW parked nearly on the sidewalk and around the opposite side of the hotel. We got a knock on our door at about 10:30am from house keeping very anxious to clean our room. By 11:01am, we had the front desk calling our room telling us it was time to check out. About 5 – 10 minutes later, as we were finishing packing up, someone else from the front desk came and knocked on our door and told us to check out. It wouldn’t defer us from staying the night here again– it was clean and adequate for two people, and a super close walk to the main hotels– but housekeeping and the front desk calling 3 times within 45 minutes was just unwelcoming. I get we were leaving, but calm down.

Booking alert! Advise from Diamond member (Choice highest level): Stay away from using the Quality Inn Flamingo (NJ299) in Atlantic City, NJ.
Their cancellation policy is a ridiculous 48 hours. The minute you get within that time frame they charge your credit card including at least $ 10 for parking regardless of car or not and $ 1.50 for an useless safe.(see photo) This just happened to me… their management does not respond to multiple calls and their staff is rude and arrogant. I just disputed the whole charge on my credit card and letting Visa handle it… as calling Choice is useless.
In regards to breakfast check out the photos: NO cream cheese, NO Hard boiled eggs… I know no longer a Choice requirement but the most popular breakfast item and NO peanut butter… but they have trash and lots of jelly!!!
Now if you don’t care about getting ripped off, a rude staff and a poor breakfast my room itself was actually very nice.(I do give credit where credit is due…)
As an alternative stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites (NJ230) in West Atlantic City; I did after one night at Quality. The Comfort Inn was $ 8 cheaper, had a much better breakfast, the staff super friendly and NO parking or safe fees. Certainly worth the 3 mile drive…(posted review for them too with photos).
So far had 51 nights this year and this place by FAR was the worse experience…

Great, AFFORDABLE, hotel right next to Tropicana. Room was clean and updated. Bed was a little to hard and towels we not the softest but for the price and location I can live with that. You do have to pay a $ 10 parking fee but its AC and you pay for parking everywhere, so get over it! Will definitely stay here again!

Best place for the price to stay in Atlantic City. We stay here every time we go to AC. Always friendly, clean rooms, free breakfast in the morning. Eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, fresh waffles, juice and coffee. Love the location and safe parking. Only negative is we had to pay $ 10 to park but we understand. Wont stop us from staying there again. Walls are a bit thin so you might hear your neighbors late night activities but afterall it is more of a motel than a hotel. Always the same young guy at the front desk and he is always pleasant!

September 2014 What a great find in such a touristy area! The motel is located at the beginning of pacific avenue and it is still short distance to boardwalk and beach. The room was very clean with awesome color schemes. There is an additional $ 10 parking fee a night but parking is charged everywhere in the area. If you are trying skip the luxury prices this is place to stay!

We were there the weekend before July 4^th. It was the first time I’ve been and second for my bf. I thought that maybe being at the end of the boardwalk it would be too far to the other side but it really isn’t. In a leisurely pace it took us about 25min from one side to the other. I love how close it is to Tropicana so even though you’re not by the hotels, you still have somewhere to go and not have to walk too far drunk. For the price and location, it was a great place to stay. Because it was so close to everything, we were able to go back and forth between the hotel wherever we were going so quickly I didn’t even have the need to bring a beach bag with me. I was able to just bring the essentials and leave the rest at the hotel. I was sitting on the beach at 2am and just had a block to walk back to the hotel. Amazing. The area is very quiet but there’s enough people out that it’s not scary at night. The room was clean and it didn’t smell like smoke like some of the other reviews. The continental breakfast was eh. The best part was the make-​your-​own waffle, fruit, and yogurt. Next time I will try Teplitzky’s Coffee Shop which is across the street.
We did find an empty beer bottle that wasn’t ours under the bed and I’m pretty sure my moisturizer disappeared from my makeup bag because I purposely put it in there before we left that morning. Having traveled a lot and it’s my line of work, I have my habits to keep track of my cosmetics. The ac wasn’t very strong. It was just cooler than warm and sometimes it seemed like it wasn’t working at all. But we weren’t in there much so it didn’t matter as much but I just like the room to cool down faster. Wifi isn’t strong.
Overall, I loved the place and will go back. Next time for the experience I’d like to try a hotel-​casino, but I would definitely go back to this hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night. We were super impressed! This hotel was clean and so close to the beach and boardwalk! I booked the room through Priceline and paid only about $ 42 after taxes. It was well worth it! The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the shower was great! Hotel staff were kind and accommodating. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because our air conditioner wasn’t as cold as we would have liked. It never really got our room cold. We would definitely stay here again!

Another great check-​in at my favorite place to stay in Atlantic City. It’s family owned and
managed and VERY well-​maintained. EXCELLENT Housekeeping Staff, rooms are as clean as any Hilton Hotel, they are very attractively decorated with very comfortable beds and even a mini-​fridge. Plus, Atlantic City’s Boardwalk and beach are a block away!
A nice breakfast, is included (Yogurt, Waffles, Oatmeal, Muffins, Cereal and more. There is a lovely woman who organizes the Breakfast Room and she does a great job. They even have a small exercise room next door if you overdo it on the muffins!
The loud casino hotels are not for me – this safe and clean spot is where I’d prefer to stay in AC. Say hi to Nelson at the Front Desk, he’s very helpful and great at his job!

My wife and I stayed at the Quality Inn Flamingo a couple weeks ago as we were in town for the AC Beer & Music Festival and were we surprised when we opened the door to our room. It was actually a nice inviting room. Not smelly or anything and pretty modern.
I know, I know. Why wouldn’t we go for a sure thing and stay at a casino hotel in AC. Well, it was a last minute WEEKEND stay. Weekend in AC = $$$$. We rolled the dice on this one and hit. (see what I did there?)
Plenty of on-​site parking, which is $ 10 a night. This is actually a decent rate as most parking lots in the area will charge $ 5 for 8 hours.
The room with a King Size Bed was very spacious. It has a love seat, a 32″-36″ Flat Screen TV, a small Refrigerator and Coffee Maker. The bathroom was a bit on the small side. But I didn’t spend much time in there anyway. Don’t worry I did shower during my stay.
SUPER DUPER CLEAN !!! This was one of the main things we were worried about.
Check in was a breeze. They do have complimentary breakfast, which we did not try.
Housekeeping did a good job as well. My wife’s shoes were left all over the place when we went out to explore the area in the morning and were nicely arranged by the wall when we got back to the room. The only issue we had was that when we returned to our room our key card was deactivated. It sucked having to walk back down the stairs from the 3^rd floor to the main office lobby. But they reactivated the card within seconds. No biggie.
We will definitely consider staying here again if we choose not to cough up $ 250+ dollars a night to stay at a casino. This place is close to the $ 100/​night range on weekends.

What’s better than staying at the Tropicana in Atlantic City? Staying next door to the Tropicana for half the price on MLK Day weekend!
The Quality Inn Flamingo is in the little stretch of hotels between the Tropicana and the (rest in peace) Atlantic Club. Of the bunch, it definitely seems like the least seedy. The rooms are amazingly large and include a king bed and a couch for a flat rate of $ 50 on weekdays (which is a bargain on holiday Sundays though not necessarily other weekdays over some casino hotels).
Unlike the hotel casinos I have stayed in, the bed wasn’t melt into the mattress soft and I wasn’t a huge fan of their mini-​pillows rather than full sized ones. But other than that, the amenities were great — including the free breakfast buffet (top that, Trop!).
The buffet was much simpler than a casino spread, of course, consisting mainly of danishes and bagels but hot food was included. I actually really enjoyed the egg patties out of their make your own egg muffin bar. Probably a bit too much for those sitting near me in the casinos later in the day.
Everyone in the motel was very friendly (staff and patrons alike) and while I never felt totally comfortable making the walk from the Tropicana to the Flamingo alone, I didn’t encounter any trouble in the little over a block down Pacific Avenue from The Quarter. For price and location, this place just can’t be beat! I’m actually probably staying here again when I’m in Atlantic City for Super Bowl Sunday in a couple of weeks.

Where do I begin?!? First off, you will get charged $ 20 per person over the maximum allowed 2 per room even if they are only visiting. There are cameras everywhere and even though smoking isn’t allowed they’ll give you a room that smells like it was set on fire about an hour prior. We were moved into another room which smelled a lot better but I wish the place had been a little nicer and cleaner overall.
On the plus side, location was great. It’s about a block away from the boardwalk and there’s a liquor and convenient store right across the street. There is a mini fridge in the room and the free breakfast had a decent selection. This place is pretty cheap so you will get what you pay for.
It was explained to me that a possible reason why there are cameras everywhere plus the added cost per person is to deter hookers from frequenting this spot. That made sense. It did seem like a party spot though. Three guys were hanging outside upstairs, one with no shirt on (in 20 °F degree weather) and another yelling out if any one had any meth (or maybe crack). AC is scary. :-(

I will give this place 2 stars because of many things
first the price of the parking was free on a web site and they said 10 per day
second the breakfast was cold and everyone was getting their food to their room!
I saw a lady who took around 9 eggs maybe to WTH! and went out !! no more eggs no more breakfast! if u were here get up early morning and get what u want and u may get better food.
we paid for a room not a persons! if a third or 4^th person was with us I don’t thing u should charge ! it’s not fair
and Wi-​Fi wasn’t work we tried the code several times !
what I like about this place it’s nearby the beach and the size of the bathroom is better then another hotel I was in. ^_^

I registered for Unilocal just because of how bad this motel was. We had a registration and paid-​in-​advance room, and when we attempted to check in they told us there was some issue with the registration and it had been cancelled (they didn’t bother to call us to tell us). Of course there were still rooms available but now the rates are much higher than what we had registered for/​paid — they refused to honor the rate we registered at even though we had the receipt printed out and in our hands.
It was clearly just an attempt to get an extra $ 50 for the room out of us, despite the fact that we booked and paid online in advance. We were checking in around 9pm so they probably figured we wouldn’t have much choice but to pay up. The clerk acted like a jerk and didn’t even pretend to try and resolve the situation.
If you want a fair deal I would stay far, far away from this dive motel. We have stayed at a few different places in Atlantic City — they all were much nicer than this place looked, and after the Quality Inn tries to shake you down for more money at check in, the prices are all pretty much the same anyway.

For the price of the motel, I’m a fan.
The room was nice. It wasn’t dirty like I thought it would have been. The staff was friendly. I loved that there was parking. Also, they have breakfast. But who will be up for that in AC?
The only negative I didn’t like was I had no idea it was so far away from everything else. It wasn’t in the «center» of the boardwalk like I had wanted.
But, it is a block from the beach and walking distance to the Tropicana.
The area, day or night, I didn’t feel comfortable in. So, I wouldn’t recommend it to younger girls on a trip, like myself.
I’ll pick a closer hotel and in a more «tourist populated» area next time, safety first for sure!
