History

Established in 2014.

MA Breastfeeding Support started with a simple premise: Make available to every woman the support and resources she needs to establish and maintain a healthy and happy breastfeeding relationship with her infant. Breastfeeding is a beautiful and natural way to provide optimal nutrition to your baby. Sometimes, however, obstacles can arise that make breastfeeding more difficult. When these situations occur, having personalized and comprehensive lactation support in your own home can truly help you overcome your difficulties and reach your goals.

Business Owner

Shelly is a Licensed Practical Nurse, Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She has supported new families in Massachusetts since 2007. In addition to her experience as a professional doula, Shelly supports breastfeeding mothers at UMass Memorial, through La Leche League, and through Nursing Mother’s Counsel. She received her IBCLC certification in October of 2014. Shelly is a mother of three, and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, knitting, and being active at the local YMCA.
