History

Established in 2005.

Wooing Scotsman was launched to fill the gap in the video marketplace between the high-​cost production firms and the low-​end «cookie cutter» companies, a need for a reasonably-​priced yet high-​quality alternative. Aiming for that goal, we rely on our extensive network of video professionals that we have cultivated over the years to enable WSP to bring the right people to a project on the right budget. Our freelance personnel list major networks, PBS, pro sports teams, major-​talent concert productions and more on their resumes, and each is carefully chosen to represent our mission of making media that moves. We do not hire people who merely know how to run a camera, we hire people who have the same passion for storytelling and attention to creative detail that are the trademarks of the Wooing Scotsman brand.

Business Owner

Brian Procopio, Wooing Scotsman Productions’ founder, has been in the broadcast and video industries for over 15 years, during which time he has filled nearly every role a production can need. From being a part of and leading television broadcast crews to one-​man band productions, state-​of-​the-​art corporate studios to remote shoots on the top of a mountain, Brian’s approach and technical knowledge have kept him in demand throughout his entire career. In addition, Brian was the Control Room Producer for the Boston Bruins hockey team, in which time he directed the in-​arena «show» at the TD Garden and edited the majority of the team’s in-​game videos.
