Greg Root – State Farm Insurance Agent

I get some good and some bad. Been with Greg for many years now, and when I do have a bad experience with his staff, he does his best to fix it for me. Overall, I’ve been fairly happy with Greg as my agent.

Incompetence meets down right rude.
Moved to Michigan for work and was referred to Greg Root from our previous State Farm agent in Seattle.
Called numerous times to get my 3 policies switched over which they said ‘was in the process’. On three separate occasions I was told I would be called back to follow up with a day. I never received any call backs. When I moved into my apartment, I need proof of renter’s insurance faxed to the apartment management. Again, three times I was told it was being done but still no fax. We almost lost the lease. I had to call Greg Root’s State Farm office a fourth time and actually stay on the line just to get them to send the fax.
After all of this, we decided we no longer wanted to deal with Greg Root and called Tom Bogen State Farm to switch over. THEN, the calls from Greg Root started coming in. The women there were extremely rude to my wife on the phone telling her that it was I was confused and there must’ve been a miscommunication.
Anyways, don’t waist your time here. If you’re looking for State Farm insurance in the South East Michigan area, go with Tom Bogen. The service there is night and day from Greg Root — we’re blown away by the way we’re treated there. I get calls back and follow-​up emails with hours.
