Our flagship wines are Hommage à la Rive Gauche and Hommage à la Rive Droite, tributes to the left and right bank wine styles of the Gironde estuary in Bordeaux. Rive Gauche: Nobel, stately, firm, this Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend exudes structure, harmony, authority, and complexity. Rive Droite: Opulence, richness, and beauty are the hallmarks of this luscious, complex Merlot based blend.
Our Cuvée Noire designation was created in juxtaposition to our flagship Rive Gauche and Rive Droite proprietary blends. Eagerly awaiting to be enjoyed today, this delicate, approachable proprietary blend exudes structure and harmony.

In 2007 Matt Wozniak, Amour Privé’s owner and winemaker, enrolled in UC Davis’ world-class Winemaker’s Certification program. Matt’s aspiration was to create a suite of old-world, ultra-premium Bordeaux styled red wines.
Matt’s persona mandates continuous self-improvement, frequent adrenaline refreshers, the pursuit of perfection, and challenge. The creation of a «culty», boutique winery on his property nestled in the Sierra Foothills would challenge all of these needs.
Bringing a 20+ year career as a CEO, a world traveler, an entrepreneur, an engineering background, fixed wing and helicopter pilot, aircraft mechanic, Private Investigator, Mt. Everest Expedition Team member, Matt’s continued pursuit for nirvana was in full swing.
The first epiphany encountered, as his wine knowledge expanded was the impossibility of growing world-class fruit in the Sierra Foothills due to climatic and soil constraints — good fruit, but not world-class fruit. Solution: lease vineyards in Napa !
