It’s unfortunate that this is the only place I could find to write about the AT&T Store in this outlet mall, but this needs to be documented. This store has the WORST, and I mean the worst, customer service I have ever dealt with. Not only is the customer service horrendous, but the practices I have experienced here are downright criminal in nature. Let me back up a bit and explain myself. I am a longstanding AT&T customer that has been with the service through some serious ups and downs, but I’ve never been so done with them in my life. On November 17th, 2013 my 2 year commitment with AT&T was up, and it was time to select a new phone and re-up my contract. I entered this store with the sole intent of purchasing an iPhone 5S(as I previously had an iPhone 4) but however was persuaded to do otherwise, which is the beginning of my problem. The person in question and the root of this mess is an employee named Trevor Moore. Now, upon entering the store this man informs me of a deal they are running for a very short time period in which upon purchasing a Samsung Galaxy S4 for 199.99(the same price of the iPhone 5) the consumer will then receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 at no charge whatsoever. Now at this point with some skepticism I ask what the catches are to this promotion and am informed that there are no catches, just simply a great deal. My girlfriend happened to also be with me at this time and it seemed like a good chance to give her an early Christmas gift, so I thought why not! I already own an iPad Mini, so no need to keep the tablet. With this said, I will also add that I have a data sharing plan with this iPad and my phone, and explained to Trevor many, MANY times again and again that I do not want to pay any extra money for this«free» tablet due to already having a share plan on my current iPad. I was reassured each time that I would not be paying anything extra for it. So, fast forward to a few days ago when my girlfriend happens to leave the house(a WiFi environment) with the tablet. We discovered to both of our dismay that the internet still functioned without a WiFi connection. What this instantly meant obviously is that a wireless plan had in fact been set up for this device, and to my further horror the recurring charge is to be 60 dollars a month. Now, with this said, AT&T does offer me the option to pay 10 dollars monthly like my iPad and put it on my already shared account, but I want to pay 0 dollars for this as that is what I was promised. The conclusion to this story is I am now spending countless hours on the phone with AT&T customer service, and them being able to do anything for me is looking bleak, all thanks to this garbage AT&T store. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from here.
