From the other reviews you can see the owner is an a**hole. He’s 80 years old and pretty much says and does whatever comes into his mind. Apparently he can be nice and helpful but I didn’t experienced it. He didn’t like the fact that I was using my smartphone while waiting as he was helping another customer and made several insulting, obscene remarks about me to the other customer. I only stayed because he’s the only store-​front locksmith in Auburn. Finally, when I had a chance to explain my problem, he wouldn’t help me because my deadbolt lock was ‘made in China.’ This is only a brief summary of what I was subjected to during the 20 minutes I spent in his shop. If would strongly recommend using another locksmith if you can.

All of these reviews are for the same person — he just behaves very differently day to day. One day he can be sweet and immensely helpful, and the next he acts like a mean, bitter and possibly racist curmudgeon. We used him once and he was great, another time he starts screaming about how he only wants German keys, and how he doesn’t want your business if you don’t have German keys/​locks. Be forewarned.

I brought him 3 deadbolts and 2 door handles to be re-​keyed and he had them done and cut me 14 new keys in about an hour for $ 100 total and was plenty friendly to me. Cash or Check only though so be prepared.

Its worth the drive to roseville to get your key done, this man is mean as a beehive. Easy fix and he says he won’t do it. He feels all high and mighty because he is the only lock smith in town.

Very Unsatisfied. Very RUDE to me. I agree with Chuck G., I DONT need your opinions on MY life, I just came for a key. He told me after looking at the key i needed made «I won’t help you» not cant, won’t! If he would have listened to what I was saying it is an easy fix. I went to True Value and they took care of the key in 5 min.

Sometimes all you want is an answer to a question without all the commentary and opinion. I was told to see this merchant as the «local lock authority» and was little less than impressed. I’m not interested in libeling anyone so I’ll leave it alone.
