Best Western Plus Peppertree Auburn Inn

We stayed for one night at this hotel. The 4 stars are for the dirty curtains with holes in them and the bathtub was stained. It’s not like I sleep on the curtains, but they still need to wash/​fix them or something. And they should probably change the bathtub, just because it’s clean doesn’t mean it’s gross, especially when people are paying $ 130 for a room. I love Best Westerns, and would love to change my review if they fix these things. Overall the room was in mint condition, big tv, clean and spacious room!

The staff here was super friendly. We stayed in a double king room and it was very spacious, clean. The hotel was quiet but the parking lot was full so it was great to not be able to hear the neighbors. Breakfast was just OK, pretty much the standard hotel breakfast you get. I would definitely book at this hotel again if I were coming back to the area.

We have stayed here several times over the years. Basically the only real concerns that I have had until now were the dated rooms, lack of nearby restaurants to walk to, and relatively poor internet (speed). All of which were OK, given a fair price.
My most recent stay was April 2016. And I have to say, ummmm, INSTANT COFFEE? Really? Turns out that they switched over to one of those Brew One Cup at a time Instant Coffee machines in the dinning room. Must have been a Corporate decision since I can not see a local Pacific North Westerner ever, EVER agreeing to instant coffee.
$ 148.30 including taxes. Plus all the instant coffee you can gag on. No thanks.

Staying here for a Robotics competition. I have to say I am pretty darn impressed with this place. I’ve done a lot of business travel where I always stayed at high end hotels, so coming to a motel I had pretty low expectations.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the interior is a little dated. That’s it.
Now the positives:
The staff here I encountered are very friendly. My wife checked in the night before and did not leave a key or my name on room. I actually appreciated they could not give me a key. She tried calling the room, but no answer. I got a hold of the wife a few minutes later so really no issues. I appreciate the security and privacy.
After returning from dinner I had a short friendly chat with the girl at the from desk. She said that she just popped some fresh popcorn and I should go get me some. Wish I wasn’t so full.
The best was breakfast. What a great layout and very organized. Super impressive. They had four girls working it and keeping it clean and organized. They had made to order breakfast burritos. My wife had one with chorizo and said it was really good. Hey, it’s a Best Western, good for you guys. I had the buffet eggs with sausage on an English muffin. Biscuits and gravy looked pretty darn good.
Now the most important thing. As self declared coffee snobs, we liked the coffee.

The staff is helpful but everything is dirty the floors look like they have never been clean and our room had hair in the bed and bathroom. It is a nice hotel a bit pricey for what you get. The hot breakfast was nothing special. Best part pool is 24hr not really heated tho. Last thing almost all the doors in the 2^nd floor look like they have been broken into there is a uneasy nonsafe feel here.

My room was very clean and well maintained. The setup of the rooms is very nice. The pillows were some of the best I’ve experienced (and I travel for a living). The Wi-​Fi was very good (better than most). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was decent, on par with competing hotels.

So Best Western. It is not a 5 star hotel chain normally and I don’t think you can expect it to be. It is not a W or Omni :)

I give this place ZERO stars.
Had a reservation, but they couldn’t find it. How is that possible?
I was there on business, my company rents a lot of rooms there yearly. I have had difficulty two out of three times that I have stayed there.
The Guesthouse Inn was a lot better, I would recommend that to the Peppertree any day.

We love this place… come here several times per year using points from nearby casino. The staff is like a family that works well together and are happy to serve. Front desk and breakfast staff especially but I have yet to encounter anyone here who falls short of exceptional. Breakfast is a step above most similarly priced motels. The rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. So glad Muckleshoot made this arrangement with the Peppertree!

I used to stay at this hotel quite a bit (10 – 12 nights annually). My last visit for one night was in April and was the worst ever. The cable didn’t work (they checked on it and said it was a cable company issue, which I have heard at least three times over the past 2 years), the room was dirty and the bedspread seemed gross, the material is nylon. Worst of all I was awoken in the middle of the night by what can only be classified as a porno being filmed in the room next door, it lasted for over two hours. I will avoid this hotel at all costs in the future. It seems to have gone downhill substantially over the past three years.

The front desk was very nice. Rooms were clean. Difficult to find a place to eat after 9:30pm. But overall comfortable stay. Was unable to get a do not disturb hanger for our door. But that is my only complaint.

Is there anything lower than 1 star?
5. We arrived early in the morning with a group of high schoolers. I called ahead and that said that would be fine. The doors were locked when we got there.
4. We were told it wouldn’t be a long wait. We waited for 5 ½ hours.
3. We were told we could not have the continental breakfast because there was a swim team and they had to eat first. We ate anyway.
2. Whenever I called they would treat me as if they were too busy to talk to me.
1. The manager was so completely rude. I went to request something to the front desk and the manager yelled at me. Also she kept interrupting me. Her name is Khara.
The WORST service I’ve ever gotten in my entire life! Very rude staff We were supposed to stay 3 nights. They most definitely lost our business. It’s such a shame because they have nice rooms and it would have been a nice place to stay. NO ONE should be treated they way we were treated. We checked out the next morning and went to another hotel!

This is one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed in for work. They have a very large common area with a pool table board games giant TVs and arcade games. They also offer complimentary cocktails from 5 to 7 Monday through Thursday along with the free dinner and free breakfast. The rooms are large, and clean. There’s not much within walking distance, but there is a Walmart and the mall area about 5 minutes driving from here. The hotel smelled amazing when I walked in. Like cinnamon and spice which is perfect for this holiday season. They also have a 20 for pool, which I did not use, & a decent size workout area that is secluded and private. There’s also a mini fridge and a microwave in the room which is a big plus when you’re traveling and trying to save some money on food costs. It can be a little noisy during the day because there are train tracks across from some of the rooms. It hasn’t bothered me much though. The staff is been incredibly friendly and if I ever the Auburn area again I would definitely stay at this hotel.

maybe i’m in the minority here but we were very pleasantly surprised by this place. we paid $ 70 through priceline and room was very large, furniture looked up to date. bed was comfortable. mini fridge and microwave was in the room. we didn’t hear any neighbors. pool was ok, a little too much chlorine. breakfast was pretty good — eggs, sausages, muffins, toast, yogurt, coffee, juice, cereal, waffles if you want to go through the effort to make it yourself. I liked it that the room and the hallways didn’t have any kind of musty odor. i didn’t really notice the surroundings as we came late at night but who cares? inside it’s a great little inn.

I was sure the GPS had the location wrong as it lead me into an industrial wasteland on the way to this hotel. The little street it’s located on was lined on both sides by parked tractor-​trailers. The hotel’s parking lot was dark and full of various types of work trucks, many of them taking five or more parking spaces. The only business anywhere near this place that is not a warehouse, train yard or welding shop is the giant BBQ restaurant which is just next door.
Everything gets better when you actually get inside. The hotel seems to realize that they are not in an ideal location and tries to make up for it with great customer service, big guest rooms, a recreation room with pool table and big screen tv and a better than average continental breakfast.
My room was huge with seperate sleeping and sitting areas, a comfortable bed and was very clean.
This is certainly not the place for you if you are a light sleeper or bothered by noise in any way. I sleep like a rock and I was woken up several times during the night. The hotel is made of wood so you will hear every step someone makes in the room above you and every door slam anywhere on your side of the building. Woe unto you if you have kids or rowdy people in the room above you. The walls also appear to be thin. I could hear people speaking in the room next to me and especially out in the hall. What’s worse is that the hotel seemed to be full of working guys (all those trucks outside) who leave at 4:00 am and make no effort whatsoever to limit their noise in the corridors at that early hour. Also, the hotel sits in the corner with a highway on one side and a big train yard on the other.
This complaint may seem petty but shouldn’t an elevator be faster than walking up the stairs?
One last negative. The internet access was terrible. Pretty much unuseable. I had a good signal and sub dial-​up speeds which is an indication of too many people trying to share too little bandwidth. This is too bad because the room had a nice big desk that would be perfect for getting some work done otherwise.
The place was ok for me because I checked in late at night and checked out early in the morning. I certainly wouldn’t want to try to work from the room all day or be stuck here without a car.

Very nice! Staff was great and friendly. They had breakfasts to go at the front counter, lots of little considerations. Great comfortable king bed. Nice to have a game room and pool for the kids — my boys and I played 6 games of fuse all together. Better than your average overnight stay, would stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in July. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. My only complaint is that the AC in the rest of the hotel wasn’t comfortable. The temperature in the room itself was fine, but the lobby and common areas were very hot. The Elevator was also extremely hot. I would stay here again, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Four stars because I had no issues with this place at all. I was here for three nights. Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Friday two busses full of people were unloaded. The hotel was pretty full. The first bus to unload was a HS or college aged sports team, all girls from what I could tell… but later I noticed guys of similar age hanging out. Even with all the ‘kids’ staying there, it was not loud. At least not where I was.
My interaction with the front desk was only at check in. The lady was very friendly and helpful. I did notice a tray full of ear plugs. I asked «Is this hotel pretty loud?’ and she explained that sometimes people complain about the noise from the trains that are near by. I only heard the trains when i had my window open.
(as far as room not being clean… bad staff… noise… it was all just ‘i came, i checked in fast, i got to my room, all was in order, i unpacked a bit, went and got food, came back, slept, slept just fine, ha

If for some odd reason I needed to stay in Auburn again, I may look for other places to sleep than stay.
The good: The room is clean and with modern décor. I liked that the sink had a modern faucet and that it was separate from the bathroom. They don’t do those little travel sized bottles and bars of soap. Instead they have pumps which pleased me. The staff is friendly, professional, and efficient.
The bad: The elevator was so slooooooooooooooooooooow! And to make it worse, it’s hot inside there. I know they want to be energy efficient but being stuck for a few minutes inside an 80 degree elevator with a bunch of people is extremely unpleasant. The internet hardly worked and when it did it was so slooooooooow. Note: The elevator was slower than the internet hence less o’s. The free breakfast sucked. When we got there, which wasn’t that late, there were no eggs but after I saw the inch or so of water inside the container of eggs, I decided it was for the best. Actually, they were practically out of everything except cereal. So if you stay here, plan to get breakfast elsewhere.
Also, don’t get fooled, the Longhorn restaurant nearby sucks and I wouldn’t recommend that either. See my Unilocal review for more.

Good deal if you find a coupon. Supposedly free Internet. But I’ve been here a week and it hasn’t worked once. I called the front desk and all they had to say was «it’s working». (we had two MacBooks pro’s and iPhones which work at every other hotel we stay at. Not to mention when we were checking in someone else was complaining the Internet wasn’t working. In other words don’t expect to get work done here.
