History

Established in 1973.

Camp Berachah began in the sixties as a Christian «commune»; it later became a community of believers and their families, and in 1973 was purchased by Philadelphia Church in Seattle who began to use it as a Christian camp. In 1990, a new organization, Camp Berachah Ministries, was formed, and in 1999 the property was purchased from the church and became an independent ministry. God played a part in each phase of history to protect the land as «set aside» for ministry and for the purpose of reaching out to all ages with the good news of Jesus Christ. Thousands of people have spent restful time on the grounds and had their lives changed and touched by God. Today, Camp Berachah reaches over 20,000 people and over 300 groups each year as one of the largest Christian camps & conference centers in the Northwest. As an independent ministry, individuals and families form a supporting network of prayer and giving that is part of God’s provision and plan.
