Even though this is a chain they have the best burgers in Auburn. I certainly don’t frequent Five Guys because burgers are kind of a treat myself kind of meal but every time I go it is delicious. Might as well just order a small fry as they throw in a bunch into the bottom of your bag so it ends up being a large. If you are in Auburn and in the hunt for a burger Five Guys is the place to go! Beware that this place is one of the first ones to have a line out the door on football Saturdays!

Great food! Big portions. The Cajun fries are amazing. Great service here. All the employees are very nice and friendly. The burgers are wonderful and all toppings for no charge.

Hopefully your life has been fulfilling enough to have experienced Five Guys at one of the other locations, but if that’s not the case, now is a must. The burgers are spectacular and fries are to die for. Of course it’s not healthy, but hopefully you are planning to go out drinking tonight and the grease will only help you. My personal favorite: Hamburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, A1 Steak Sauce, Lettuce, Tomatoes and on the side, jalapenos.

Pretty darn good burger. Depending on the day, I might opt for Cheeburger across the street. I love the fresh jalapenos and cajun fires.

Service here was fantastic and did everything they could professionally to handle my angry Asian parents. The situation was that although everything on the inside was obviously steaming and hot, one bun was cold and to my parents that was absolutely unacceptable. My parents basically returned the burger saying this was absolutely unacceptable so they gave us new burgers free of charge. The fries are drool-worthy especially with the seasoning. If you come here with one other person, split the fries because the burger will be enough for you. Grab some peanuts while you’re waiting. As a tip, keep the brown bag they give you because you’re going to accumulate a surprising amount of trash in one meal. Whenever you get a burger, go all-the-way. The burger is not worth it if you don’t order that. You can do the same with hot dogs. I want to give this place a higher score but I feel like I’m about to collapse from the weight in my stomach every time. That feeling hurts after a while.

After hearing about Five Guys for quite a while, I gave the restaurant a shot yesterday for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised. The cheeseburger was certainly better than fast food burgers and the fries were outstanding. The roasted peanuts in the shell were an extra treat while waiting on the order to be filled. I had the little cheeseburger and I should have gotten the regular. Live and learn. I like the options available on toppings at no extra cost. I loaded my burger up including mushrooms and jalapeño peppers. I will return.

OK so I am a big fan of burgers whether they are fast food(In-n-Out is my fave) or gourmet-organic-grass-fed-free-range. Back home in San Francisco I’m in the midst of reviewing 7×7 Magazine’s Top Ten Burgers and so I thought a pit stop at Five Guys was in order since I had just heard something about this chain on NPR. As you walk in you walk by a bunch of rave reviews from their other operations and the inside looks sorta like an In-n-Out with the red and white tiles. There are a ton more options for burgers though and the prices are a bit higher so this isn’t really a fast food joint. Well, I got a cheeseburger and fries this time to test it out. The burger itself was really good. In this price range it’s definitely one of the best I’ve had. The fries were a ginormous serving too. A bit too salty for me, but then again, I think I add the least amount of salt to fries that I know. Usually I’m all over a bacon cheeseburger, but since this was my first time I didn’t want to get distracted by bacon, because, well who doesn’t get distracted by bacon… mmm, bacon… Where was I? Oh yeah so in comparison to In-n-Out I can’t really directly compare it since it’s sort of in a category above fast food, but I would say it’s one of the better burgers I’ve had that didn’t come with a cloth napkin. Definitely will make me want to try their other outlets when I am in a town that has Five Guys…

I am a vegetarian, so I have never tasted their burgers, but I give it 3 stars solely because of its greasy and delectable fries. They are big, thick fries cut from whole potatoes and deep fried in peanut oil. They are very good, altho sometimes overdone. I haven’t had fries like this since I moved from the Baltimore area and away from«boardwalk fries»… and sometimes, you just have a hankering for greasy starch. Also, they do have a «veggie» sandwich which is basically just condiments and usual burger garnish, but they don’t overcharge too much. My husband seems to enjoy their bacon cheeseburgers. Since this company originated in Virginia, it has a little of the mid-Atlantic fast-food stand aesthetic, which is something I get homesick for. I enjoy going to this place for silly reasons, I suppose, but I’ll take them.
