Franklin Tire & Auto Center also provides oil changing and transmission services. Franklin Tire & Auto Center also offers collision repair, towing, brake and alignment services. It repairs several makes and models of cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles. Franklin Tire & Auto Center additionally provides 24-​hour wrecker services for flatbed tow trucks.

History

Established in 1970.

Robert Franklin went into business in April of 1970 and Franklin Tire & Auto has been successful ever since. What started as a small, two-​bay service station has grown into a 21 bay full auto service center. Here at Franklin Tire & Auto we can handle all your automotive needs, and we will do it as professionally as possible. We offer service in tires, mechanical repairs, electronic diagnostics, collision repair, and towing. We even have storage units on the premises for those of you who are moving or just in need of extra space.

We are located at the corner of East University Drive and Opelika Road, directly across from CiCi’s Pizza. We provide a shuttle service if needed when dropping off or picking your vehicle up. This repair shop clearly understands the concept of repeat customers. I’ve never felt cheated and have always been happy with the repairs made to my vehicle. They give you the bottom line without trying to convince you to make several unneeded repairs. In fact, the one time I didn’t listen to them about getting new tires, I ended up sitting on the side of the road with a flat a month or so later lol. I’ll definitely continue to take my car here as long as I’m in the area.

I have a daughter who is a student at Auburn and we live out of state. Knowing her car is being taken care of is extremely important, as any parent would tell you. We first went to Franklin on the recommendation of someone who lives locally. That was 3 years ago and we’ve never had a reason to go anywhere else. No matter what she needs (and we’ve run the gamut) they are responsive, polite, fast and reasonably priced. They often check fluids/​tires for free just to make sure she’s ok before she gets on the road. I just don’t know how else to put it — THEY’RE GREAT!!!

After a long morning of loading all of our belongings into a truck in the rain, my husband and I took off for Mobile from Atlanta to beat the movers to our new place. We were caravaning with both of our cars, when I heard a loud noise and realized my tire was flat. So there we were, stuck on the side of 85S in Auburn, with a flat tire and it was pouring rain. My husband was able to drive to the next exit and pick up some fix-​a-​flat, which got me back on the road for a few minutes. While I was waiting, I called Franklin to see if they had my tire size in stock. I knew that both rear tires really needed to be replaced anyway. They were so nice on the phone, and said yes they could switch out the tires and have me back on the road the same afternoon.
My car luckily made it to Franklin, just a few miles away. They immediately started work on my car, and gave us a great deal since they only had the higher priced tires in stock. I was so happy with the service! They had us back on the road in under an hour. They really saved my day.

Service is GREAT. I fixed the windows in my car a few months ago.
HOWEVER, they are EXPENSIVE. I was able to fix my car for almost $ 500 cheaper than what they had quoted me. No, I think not.
