Magnussen’s Auburn Collision Center

Very poor communication. We were told they would call by the end of the day… more like several days later. They had the car for 2 ½ weeks, when it should have been done in 10 days. It ended up costing us because we had to rent a car. We were pleased with the work, but would not recommend it due to the poor customer service.

The Auburn Collision Center is a 5 place to take your damaged car. The staff treated me with me with respect. I loved thier sense of humor. My car was beautifully fixed and ready when they promised it would be-​I don’t think I could have driven the sardine rental one more day! Thank you so much Auburn Collion Center!

Can’t express how great their care was for myself and my car. Never have I been better informed on the status of work, from inception to completion. Every time I called, the entire staff seemed super grateful to answer any and all questions I had. When I picked up my car, it looked brand new. Damages were extreme to both driver and passenger sides. I live in the Bay Area and had to commute to their services, worth every penny of gas and minute spent driving. If I ever need body work done to my car again, I’ll gladly make the same commute. Every single time!

I selected Auburn Collision because they were a preferred provider through my insurance company and a friend had a good experience with them. They were pretty well coordinated with my insurance company and the car rental company that also contracts with my insurance so that went pretty smooth. I haven’t noticed any problems with the repair (replacement of front bumper and fender). The repairs took a little longer than estimated and they weren’t really good about calling me to tell me about delays. I kept having to call them to inquire. Generally satisfied, though.

I had to get my bumper fixed so I called USAA insurance and this co was on the list of approved places for which USAA would guarantee their service.
When I called this place I told them I was researching the choices USAA had given me. I told them I had to think about it and I’d call back.
Well here’s the kicker: the lady from this company captured my cell number and from there extrapolated my home phone number (not hard) and left FRANTIC sounding messages on BOTH phones about how she still hasn’t seen the claim come though from USAA (as if I’d chosen them) and could I please call her back ASAP so we could proceed.
I called back and told her I resented the approach and to please stop calling me. Then I took my business to Caliber Collision on Lincoln and they were amazing.

We have had work done here numerous times and have always been treated great. The facility is meticulous and the staff is eager to help. Our first visit was a horrific accident that my husband had with my Prius. Johnny at the center was the best. He has helped us with subsequent work on headlights, tail gates, doors, etc. on other vehicles we have. We highly recommend this business.

These reviews are SHOCKING! I give all stars because we were in an accident and the tow truck driver and the officer that helped in our accident recommended this place. We were kind of iffy about sending our Honda to a unknown collision place but the recommendations, we couldn’t pass up. We called the next morning and they had already checked the car out and told us the damages. A guy name Nate was our go to guy for the car and he was nothing but helpful and nice. We had $ 4,800 in damages from paint all the way to the radiator. Nate promised to get the car done in a week and kept his word. He let us know every step of the way with good info. about our car. My husband said there so helpful and nice it makes him want to drive an hour just to get our car fixed next time something happens. Thanks Nate and the nice receptionist.

I recently got body work done here, insurance recommended them and didn’t find any bad reviews here.
I’m a car enthusiast with a sports car, I told them I was meticulous about the care my car has. At pickup I wasn’t happy with the paint job, it has dust specks in it and they straight MISSED one section. I told the service manager and he agreed it was crap work and he would fix it if needed… I didn’t want to leave my car with them so I declined and will handle getting a better paint job through another body shop. After inspecting their work closer at home I found one trip piece that was loose because they didn’t put it back together properly (missing a screw).
For 90% of the cars out there they will do a good job; but if you have a luxury car, sports car, any car that you care about find another shop.

My son hit a woman’s Honda Accord with a pit bike. Her passenger side door was damaged. Her insurance is charging my son with the damage. After reviewing the insurance photos, I realized that this company threw in some unrelated rear bumper damage. The damage was done by the woman, not my son. The damage was so small that a bumper doctor would have fixed it in less than an hour. These guys completely disassembled the rear end to repair and charged the insurance company over $ 1800.00, which in turn came to me. They also threw in some unrelated front bumper «damage». So unethical. What would cost $ 100.00 max turned into a huge repair bill. Matthew Flores was the service writer.
Regardless of who pays, it is wrong to make a mountain out of a molehill for your companies income and your own personal commission. Can’t comment on the quality of the repair. Didn’t see it. I will be filing a complaint with the local BBB and BAR and will include the photos and cost run down. Our vehicle had a decent amount of damage from a collision, but the repairs have cost about $ 4000 more than we anticipated. Auburn Collision center has reamed our insurance company. They replaced damaged parts with noticeably used parts and charged the same price as new parts would cost.
The repairs should have been complete within a few weeks (what they originally told us), but get this — this is the fourth time in 5 months that we’ve had our vehicle back in for repairs that were improperly made, and our vehicle has been there for 3 weeks just this time! Altogether they have had our vehicle for all but 3 weeks out of the last 5 months.
Highly inconvenient! And they never call you unless they need money from your insurance company. It’s like you have to call them to remind them that they have your car. I am worried that our car will never be fixed properly.

Stay away from this dealership, unless your warranty and\or car insurance is paying in full.
One of those places that does do a good job, but isn’t the sort of body shop worth going to, if paying out of your own pocket.

My wife’s car was recently dented by a random bricklike object on the Interstate one day, and she needed body work done on her 2006 Toyota Avalon.
