Ate here for lunch to go one day. Ordered a home wrecker burrito. It wasn’t that good. Beans were dried out, chicken was too. Took two bites and threw it out. I wouldn’t go there again.

Stopped in at lunch time to give this restaurant a try. Yes, welcome to moes can be heard when anyone walks in… it’s a corporate thing. I found the menu board a little confusing but ordered the homwrecker Jr. And made it a combo. Total price was more than I usually want to spend for a lunch, it came in at $ 11.50 and that was for a Jr. I definitely agree the service is slow, it’s 12.15(lunch time) and only one person is taking the order, making the order and collecting the money. So if your in a hurry forget it… it’s true service is slow. There is only one other employee working and she was eating lunch, during the lunch rush. In my opinion it’s to pricey for lunch. Two stars for clean restaurant and food…

This establishment does not take people’s allergies seriously. I called and ordered two burritos, one burrito I specifically notified the person taking the order I needed to make sure there was NO Dairy, no cheese no sour cream… Nothing. I got to the restaurant as they were wrapping our burritos. I specifically asked again to make sure that the burrito didn’t have any Dairy. The girl looked me in the eye and promised it didn’t and continued to wrap the burrito. I clarified again that there was no cheese or sour cream in the burrito and she nodded. It’s safe to say I’m pissed I just purchased a burrito I cannot eat because it had cheese on it. I will not be returning to this place again

This place is toast once Chipotle moves in. And it’s their own fault I’ve been here on several occasions — and each visit yields a different experience. There is zero consistency in their food. When they make it right — and not skimp on ingredients(as they usually do) the food can be tasty. But those experiences are rare. In the end, very inconsistent and very cheap on portions. And lastly, stop it with the«welcome to moe’s» yell when you walk in and focus on the food. That gimmick will not work as a deception to the poor quality of food. good luck

I LOVE there food! Me and my mom go In just about every week. Me being a vegetarian for 12 years its VERY hard to find good veggie options at restraunts. And it very hard to find good tofu, they have awsome tofu in there burritos its seasoned and taste super good along with there chipotle ranch sauce. I crave there burritos all the time. I even drive all the way from rocklin to pick one up. Staff very friendly! I hope they stay here for a long time!

Only came here once and wouldn’t come back. Similar set up to Chipotle but way slower for some reason. Not a fan of people yelling to greet you everytime the door opens. And most importantly the food wasn’t good at all. :/

Great southwest food. It’s not Mexican, it’s southwest. I like it. It’s different. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bathrooms clean. Have free wifi, outlets for my device and tv’s. I’m a happy customer.

Been wanting to try this place for a while, but after doing so today I will not go back. Put simply … Messy unkept food prep area(ie: gross) Small portions Way overpriced for what u get 3 strikes and you’re out. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is the food wasn’t too bad. Note to the manager here, clean up!

Consistently bad every visit I’ve had, it’s like a poor mans Chipotle. The ingredients are far from fresh, the portions are small and the overall meal is overpriced! Atmosphere and service is great, but the food needs a Chef Ramsey makeover!

Usually I get great food and great service but the last few times I’ve gone in over the past 2 months all I’ve gotten is rude service people sloppily making a cold burrito that tastes awful. Not sure what happened to make this place go down hill.

Disappointed after today’s visit. Burrito was cold, black beans were dry. I explained how I had tomato allergies. Woman rolled her eyes and couldn’t even begin to tell me what was safe to eat. Slow time too. U asked her to ask the manager she said oh no one is available. I think staff should be trained how to properly answer questions. While my family ate, I nawed on chips. No more trips to Auburn Moe’s for me. The cashier kept ringing me up for the wrong thing. I had to literally speak very slowly what I had ordered. Frustrated and hungry

This was probably the 6th or 7th time ive been here. I have to say maybe its cuz the holidays or something, but my experience here just for a togo was alot better than any other time ive been here. The staff was actually smiling cuz they wanted to not cuz they had to and Alejandro who made my homewrecker burrito was pleasant and actually gave me the right amount of ingredients on it(they always were stingy on the chicken and barely a tbsp of guac every other time. I had to asked for more chicken) and made it right. The manager smiled and asked how I was doing as well with the cashier with genuine smile! I walked out alot happier with their service just now! I hope they keep it up and not just cuuz the holidays!

Everyone wants to piggyback off the success of Chipolte thinking they can do it better when all they can do is come in at a tie or worse. I was working close by so I decided to stop in for lunch. I got the three steak taco meal, which came with a regular drink and a side of chips for $ 13.51 with tax. I’ve had the steak tacos at Chipolte and they have the sane problem as this place, the meat us really not very hot. It sits in a pan, which I have no idea of its heat source, but when they assemble your food and you eat it it’s never really very hot. The best place to get a taco is still one of those hole in the wall, mom & pop places where I have never been served a cold taco. They do have one of those Coke Freestyle fountain machines where you can literally get hundreds of combinations of drinks. I wish more places would have such drink options. They also have 3 different options for fresh brewed iced tea, which earned them a bonus star from me. Their salsa bar had five different options which I would rate as only average. One if them was a cranberry lime salsa(assuming perhaps a seasonal item) which had an interesting flavor. The employees seemed friendly enough. When I first walked in there were a number of dirty tables but they might have just finished with their lunch rush. After I sat down somebody came out and started cleaning off tables. In conclusion they’re just another Chipolte wanna be with nothing special other than three fresh brewed iced tea options and seemed to be a tad bit pricey. I would not return.

I love Moe’s. Got to know them when they were in SoCali but folded because of the economy. You have to understand that this is not Chipotle. If you want Chipotle, then go to Chipotle! Love Moe’s light, crispy chips. Their salsa bar is deelish, including a unique pineapple variety. Their Queso is creamy, tangy yumminess. My favorites are the Earmuffs burrito bowl and the nachos with steak. Forgot the name. Some people like the quirky names and when the workers yell, «WELCOME to MOE’S!!!» Some don’t. Oh well. At least they’re friendly. If you’re looking for a Chipotle clone like Freebirds, you might not like Moe’s. Your loss. Moe’s is a company from Georgia, so you’ll miss out on the vanilla peach soda, I guess, since Denver-based Chipotle doesn’t offer any unique beverages.

Oh my… if you want a good value, then this isn’t the place for you. If you want great food, this isn’t a place for that, either. So, why exactly is Moe’s here? Inefficient ordering system, incredibly slow staff, unsightly food prep area, skimpy with ingredients, high prices and mediocre food. Speaking of the employees, there were about a dozen of them just standing behind the counter staring at the customers in line. Understandably there are always kinks to work out when opening a new restaurant, but I don’t see how this chain restaurant can gain appeal? Don’t even get me started on, «WELCOMETOMOE’S!!!» I really can’t figure out why this place is in Auburn. Why couldn’t they have put a Chipotle or a Panda Express in this location?!

So pleasantly surprised by our first visit to Moe’s. Word of warning, at least until the newness wears off, do NOT go during lunch and/or dinner hour. CRAZY packed. We got there about 11:15 and by 11:20 the line was nearly out the door. So I had the nachos which were quite good, I did ask for extra queso and glad I did. My dining partner had the burrito bowl and she’s extremely picky and generally hard to please and she REALLY liked it. Super pleasant staff as well. The only annoyance is nearly everytime someone new walks in the door, pretty much all 12 or so employees YELL«welcome to moe’s» so after hearing that 10 times, it got old. Good news… you can sit outside and not hear it at all. :) The chips are good, the salsa bar is fantastic. And I was super excited to see they use grass fed hormone free beef.

«Welcome to Moes!» The entire staff would shout that from the counter EVERY single time someone walks in the door. Super distracting & quite annoying. The staff making the burritos really did not seem like they knew what they were doing. Portion sizes of each ingredient were way off. On to my burrito… First off it was cold, & the chicken tasted dry with no flavor. I had already read the bad reviews for this place, but had a coupon so thought I would give it a shot. Chipotle is sooo much better. I wish they had one in Auburn.

Despite offering $ 3 burritos on Opening Day, there isn’t much I can say to recommend this place. Everything seems to be a copy of something else. The art on the walls are artistic renderings of singer«look-alikes». The music piped through the Bose sound system is no-name covers of classic rock tunes. They did a nice job of remodeling the former«La Bou». However, the value really isn’t there… even at the Grand Opening bargain price point. My «pulled pork» burrito didn’t have much meat in there. I didn’t complain, as we were paying $ 3 apiece for our items. However, if I’d been paying $ 7.75 instead of $ 3, that would have been a huge problem. The whole grain tortilla seemed to dominate the entire concoction, as did the vegetables and beans. I guess it’s healthier to eat less meat, but when you’re paying Chipotle prices, you expect a certain amount of protein in the mix! Everything seems to be dumbed down for the Gringos. The«hot» salsa from the salsa bar was a «low medium barely hot». Overall, a carbon copy of «Chipotle» but without the panache.
