They have a one-​star review on google and I wonder why. This company/​shop is more like a concept store than a normal gun store. The furniture is pleasing and the model rifles are organized on the wall in a pretty way. Multiple modern accessories can be tried on the racket so you might be able to know what your decision should be.
The key point is here. I bought a barrel and found an issue for me and hoped to make an exchange, but the exchanged one did not 100% satisfy me. The nice guy, possibly the manager, opened me 4 – 5 new barrel bags, which made me feel a little embarrassed. He said, it is ok until you are really happy with what you get.
5 stars, while it is too far from Seattle.

Ordered an LMT upper receiver online. It was shipped and received in a timely manner. However, several parts clearly included with the purchase (torque wrench and rail panels) were not included in the shipment. The upper itself while it appears unfired, has been mishandled, shows excessive signs of wear, bald spots in the finish, as well as several areas with rust. LMT would not approve this representation of their product. I hope Rainier makes this right so I can update my review. At this point I would not recommend purchasing from them since there seems to be serious issues with quality control.

This is my first Unilocal review as I only use this app to find bars, barbers and food joints in my area (Washington DC area)
I recently bought my first AR from Rainier Arms (BCM Recce 14.5 KMR) and as a first time buyer I made the mistake of being so anxious and excited of getting my order all at once, I also bought a trijicon MRO red dot, BCM KAG and their QD sling mount in the same transaction. This meant it would all be in one package sent to my FFL.
The day comes to finally pick up my package and I’m ecstatic, looking up my tracking number every 20 minutes through its delivery process entirety. I walk into my FFL smiling ear to ear! «Hi! I’m here to pickup my firearm!» I said with confidence and pride. Showed my documentation, all that jazz. They pull my box from their cage. «Would you like to open it here?» As an employee gives me a box cutter. «Of course!» I felt like a 4 year old about to open the «big» Christmas present but wanted to stay calm on the outside to make it look like I’ve done this before. To my liking, I pull the rifle out first, it’s a thing of beauty! Perfectly packaged with everything included.
I moved on to my accessories. KAG QD sling mount BCM swag. Now the icing on the cake; my optic…
It wasn’t in the box, so I calmly ask the employee, «excuse me, I also had an optic with this order, is it in a different box?» They check their computer, «sir our records show this is all that you have received.» That’s impossible! I went from ecstatic to feeling like I had two weeks to live! God damn roller coaster of emotion is flowing through my body. The employees could tell I was not happy and at that point, they slowly disappear or get sucked in to their computers so they don’t have to deal with this issue.
Now I’ll try to shorten this story up.
It was a Sunday so RA was closed so I waited til Monday to call them to see if the order was either in two separate boxes or just wrongly packaged. I spoke to a gentlemen named, Ari. I told him the situation and he handled it with the utmost professionalism I have experienced with customer service in a very long time. Very calm and courteous throughout our conversation. He assured me that they had properly packaged my entire order correctly and had verified with his packers as well. At this point, I was already leaning to believe RA’s side of the story instead of my FFL stating that «they have done this for years and something like an optic just doesn’t go missing»
So after a lot of back and forth with my FFL, ready to rip someone’s head off I contact Rainier one more time. I specifically asked for Ari as instructed by him and let him know that my FFL is standing firm saying they didn’t have my optic and weren’t liable. And with no evidence that is very easy to do! Ari again, handled myself and my dilemma perfectly. Through our last conversation some of his words stuck with me; «you are our customer first and foremost and we will do anything to take care of you» now that was something great to hear, knowing they were on my side and would back me in this sticky situation.
Minutes later, my FFL calls me back stating they gave my optic to another person who also purchased a Trijicon optic and it was on its way back to the store. Feeling relieved that this shitshow finally came to a solution, I felt the need to call Ari back and actually give him some good news.
He could tell in my voice off the rip that the optic had been found. I expressed my appreciation and gratitude for him and his packers for sticking with me on this and helping in every way possible. In the end, I felt like we became friends in a way. I now know I have a trustworthy company that I can rely on and will recommend to anyone looking for high quality AR’s and accessories!
Rainier Arms, Ari, packers of RA (unsung heroes) I want to thank you guys for all your hard work and determination! Your customer service is bar none and have earned a lifetime customer in myself and look forward to doing more business with you guys in the future!

Still nothing from Rainier Arms. They promised F & K Sports to deliver within ten days. And it was 14 days ago. My friends are also waiting for parts and weapons. I have my season’s first race soon and I do not have my rifle ready. Sorry Rainier Arms you still suck.

This is nothing more than a BOUTIQUE fire arms dealer.
Over priced hardware, and rude, arrogant, staff.
This store is listed as a «prefered FFL dealer» for
, however, after talking with the staff, they are unwilling, uninterested, and arrogant about the fact that «We do not accept or deal in transfers or online weapon sales».
In fact, when I asked about it, the staff person I dealt with had an attitude of «How dare you ask me that!»
Customer service was so poor, that I will go back there, or have anything to do with them again.
I went to Cabelas, and bought two guns.
Their loss.

Don’t order anything from this company unless you can drop into their store and carry it away. I ordered something they showed as in stock and paid extra for FedEx 3-​day select delivery. That was on the 12^th of February. I write this on the 24^th and I still haven’t received my product. In fact, it wasn’t shipped by Rainier until today with a delivery scheduled for Friday the 26^th. That’s a heck of a lot more than 3-​day select delivery for a product they had on the shelf, supposedly.
I’m editing this post. Received my order today on the 26^th of February. Not only is this order late but they screwed it up! I ordered a small parts kit for an AR-​10 and they send me a kit for an AR-​15.

This isn’t your average «gun shop.» At Rainier Arms I get awesome customer service and good products. They were also really helpful in guiding me through the process of buying an item that required a stamp — other than waiting on the government to do their part, it was pretty painless and straight forward.
They specialize in ARs so, if that’s what you’re in the market for, save yourself some time and energy and start at Rainier Arms.
If you’re not able to get to the Auburn location they will ship nationwide through their online store and you can expect the same level of service from buying that way too.
Bright, clean, professional, and well stocked — Rainier Arms is definitely a premium experience compared to your typical gun store.

Best gun shop in the north west. Very knowledgable and they don’t have any junk. Very pleased.

I Was looking for one of the Seekins rail and it said out of stock for 15″, so I called to see when they would have those in and they told me they had one in stock. So I drove almost 2 hours to get there to find out they did not have any in stock. Why the hell tell the customer you had it in stock when you don’t. Thanks for wasting my day and gas for nothing.

Awesome gun store, great prices and even better service. I’ve been in here about 3 – 4 times, they have a great selection of firearms (custom and big name) as well as optics and accessories. Although they have great prices and have had everything in stock that I wanted, the best thing about this place is probably the customer service. Every time I’ve went in here I’ve dealt with different guys, and their attitude is always professional and courteous. Just today I wanted to look at getting a red dot sight for my AK, it wasn’t a problem at all to bring in the firearm and try mounting the optic before I bought it, really great.

Excellent selection of parts to build ARs. The Custom ARs on the wall looked very awesome as well. Service was cool, kind of a homey environment. Most definitely buying from them again.

Mike the manager contacted me after reading my initial review. He was very understanding of what happened and agreed it was not a fair experience. He offered to swap every single part on my rifle to match exactly the one that was shown to me when I bought my rifle. Mike really turned my experience around. I was not expecting to hear back from Rainier Arms. But to my surprise Rainier Arms (Mike) is really concerned with his customers well-​being and sales experience. He really went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my purchase.
If you are looking to buy a rifle (AR 15), definitely check them out! Even if its out of the way; they are 1.5 hours away for me. This is the absolute place to buy a quality rifle. I am glad I bought from them and highly recommend them!
I’ve shot over 350 rounds through my AR and its a dream to shoot. I absolutely love it!

I was looking to buy my first rifle (AR15) and came across Rainier Arms in my research. Found multiple great reviews about their rifles and business, so I decided to give them a try. Visited their store looking for advice and to select an AR15. I was between a Daniel Defense V3 and their RUC2. While talking to one of their reps, he showed me their UltraMatch AR15 with titanium this, nickel boron coated carrier, amazing trigger, etc tons of upgraded parts, even had angled mechanical sights in case you wanted to bypass the optional optic sights; beautiful rifle. I figured I would go for the $ 700 more expensive rifle (compared to the RUC2) since I would eventually upgrade those parts later on anyway. Went ahead and paid the $ 1,995 and then I was told the rifle was not available. That it needed to be assembled… sigh…fine. 6 days later I call to find out the status of the rifle and I am told its been built sitting here. Was anyone going to call me and let me know?
So I head out there, 1.5 hours away for me, to pick it up…
When I get there, no one remembers me (I did spend like 3 hours last week when I purchased the rifle). They can’t find my rifle… Finally when they do, we go through the rifle and then the crap hits the fan…
The rifle they presented did not match the rifle on display that I was sold a week ago. It did not have angled sights, had different butt stock, different trigger, different bolt carrier (was not the shiny nickel boron coated one that was emphasized how great it was) and different grip. I was so upset! I just spent $ 2,200 with taxes and I am not getting the gun I’ve been drooling over all week anxiously waiting.
Seems like the gun that was on display with the UltraMatch description card and $ 1,995 price was upgraded. !@#$%^& Why would you advertise a modded UltraMatch rifle in the place of a a standard UltraMatch? Then tell the customer, a 1^st time customer spending $ 2,200 sorry, the online specs match the rifle we built you. I did not buy online, I bought face to face. I should have made a stink about it and told them I want the gun I was sold or refund my money. But I didn’t… I should have… Unfortunately, I spend a lot of money and unfortunately I will not be spending it at Rainier Arms… I look for another gun store or go online. I am really disappointed in their customer service/​purchase experience.
I thought going to an AR15 specialty store, I would have been taken care of from A-​Z. Their staff does not seem too knowledgeable on AR15s… lots of guess statements.
I have not yet fired the rifle. Seems very high quality and great build. We will see what happens when I take it to my AR15 fundamental class later next month.
Overall, if you go to Rainier Arms, double, triple check the specs of the rifle they are selling you…

If you’re on the hunt for a high end AR15 or parts then you should come check out Rainier Arms. They carry some pistols and other type rifles as well. They actually have a lounge for wives/gf’s or kids to sit down and wait. Which is very cool and considerate.

Been a customer of Rainier Arms ever since they used to run out of a small room with just with a table and a computer. Now look at where they are now. One of the rare Asian American owned firearm businesses we have in the PNW and I am glad Mr. Hwang has chosen to keep his business in our community.
Myself, friends, and relatives have purchased numerous small parts and custom uppers throughout the years. Every single transaction has been nothing but pleasant. Also, the guys have always thrown in some cool decals or Velcro patches with my purchases so now my truck is decked with Rainier Arms, hey, free advertisement!

My experience with Rainier Arms started out great in the beginning. However, when I initially placed my complete upper on layaway, I was told that they take the item off the shelf so they don’t accidentally sell it. Come 3 weeks later when I’m ready to make my final payment, they sold the one I purchased to another customer and I had to way a couple hours for their armorers to create a new one from scratch. I forgot to mention, I had went there a few days prior and was told to come back in a few days because they were swamped with work.
IMHO, their staff was very friendly. I like that they don’t talk to you until you’re ready to purchase. I got a free bumper sticker from them. I’d purchase from them again in the future, but I won’t be placing anything on layaway anymore.

I brought a rifle from Rainier Arms on line. The FFL that assisted with the transaction sent over all the necessary paperwork to them. When the rifle arrived, it did not come with the magazine. I live in California so high capacity magazines are restricted. They couldn’t even send a 10 round magazine with the rifle? But I am an LEO and my FFL did sent over his high capacity magazine permit to Rainier Arms prior to the rifle being shipped. At the time of the purchase, this type of magazine (AR-​10 style) were almost impossible to find. So we called Rainier Arms and they had HORRIBLE customer service. They blamed my FFL for forgetting to send over the high capacity magazine permit. Then they said theywould send the magazine but I would have to pay for the shipping! Are you kidding me?! The customer service representative was rude and failed to accept responsibility on their part.
They messed up, sent me a gun I can’t really use (other then manually loading a single round into the chamber) and made me to pay for the shipping.
Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I am an avid firearms shooter (for my job and as a hobby) and I would NEVER deal with Rainier Arms again. You lost a customer here.

Ordered a in stock part on the website, was charged for it, but was never sent a tracking number. Called the company up after a week and a half and was told that it was out of stock. WTF? why charge me for a part you don’t have. Ask for a refund which was never processed by Rainier Arms. Had to file a dispute with the credit card company. First time and last time using them.

I’ve visited the store in person several over the past year and every time, I’ve been impressed with the customer service and knowledgeable employees. As others have mentioned, this is not your «regular» gun store. Rainier Arms specializes in AR15s and AR parts, but there’s other things available to check out even if you’re not an «AR guy».
Their once a year summer event is also great. Definitely worth attending!

I’ve been coming to this place for years now. The first few visits, I didn’t even own an AR. I had an HK91 and wanted to purchase a few common accessories for it.
At first, I assumed this was an «AR snob’s» place as the workers had matching polo shirts as the place was spotless and organized. Boy was I wrong! The customer-​service is incredible and there are parts you wouldn’t even dream of in stock. (Yes, I now own an AR.) I’ve had nothing but a great experience each time I visit. It would take up a lot of space to write about all the great customer service and awesome parts I’ve purchased from them. The staff is knowledgeable and experienced. Give them a try online or if you’re like me and lucky enough to be only 15 minutes away, give them a visit.

First visit yesterday and had a great experience! I mentioned that I was new to AR’s and just getting my bearings. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to answer all my questions and go into great depth discussing all of the options as well as the pros and cons of each. In looking around the store, they have the best selection of parts and accessories that I’ve seen for the AR platform.
This WILL be the place I go when its time to purchase!
