Rairdon’s Nissan of Auburn

I went in just to look, thinking I would actually purchase something in a few weeks and fell in love with a car. Rairdon’s partners with Costco and guaranteed the lowest price. We compared the price to TrueBuy and it was the lowest price by far. Aside form the great prices, there was also exceptional costumer service. I never once felt pressured to buy anything and the salesman, Raul, answered everyone of my questions– even going on multiple test rides with me. Overall we spent about 5 hours talking about the pros and cons of each car. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and I left feeling happy knowing I made the right decision and purchased the car for a great price. Furthermore, I have lifetime free oil changes and a 7 year warranty. Absolutely amazing. When I need to buy a car in the future, Rairdon’s is the only place I will go!

The service and parts departments are wonderful! The service department keeps you in the loop on what’s happening and doesn’t make you feel like your car needs a ton of work while you’re in for an oil change. The parts department helps to find the best price on the item you need and will answer any questions you have. If I could, I would take all my vehicles here, not just my Nissan.

I came in to Auburn Rairdon today with my fiancé and his parents to look at potential new cars. We were immediately greeted by Taylor Reese. He is kind, personable, friendly, honest and straight forward. He actually listened to what we wanted and made sure we got the absolute best deal possible; in the shortest amount of time possible.
It was honestly more like buying a car from a friend, rather than a salesman. That said, I can’t see myself going anywhere near any other dealership after this.
Hands down the best dealership interaction any of us have ever experienced. We couldn’t be happier.
To put our satisfaction in perspective — fiancé is still signing the paperwork right now and we are so happy, I couldn’t wait to post the review. Everyone in the Puget Sound area needs to know how great this place is.

I walked in with a paid-​off Xterra and credit score over 800 to get a Murano I found in their online inventory. They felt the need to treat me like an annoyance for some reason, then tried to cheat me at every step of the process until I just couldn’t take it anymore. Do yourself a favor and go with ANY other dealer. Nissan should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this place.

I came in to get the alternator on my car checked as the battery light had been going on and off for a while and ultimately had to get it replaced along with another part that had my engine light flickering. I had an all around awesome experience.
George helped me out in making sure I knew what was going on with my car, what parts needed to be replaced, and why. Everyone in the service department are incredibly professional and helpful. Definitely care that you are comfortable when you are waiting for your car to get repaired. George would come in and give updates on how much longer the repairs would be and in the end the repairs took no time at all and now my car is running great.

I had a great experience with Brandon Riehl and Chris Gans in finance when I purchased my Nissan Altima. I didn’t think I would get approved but Brandon and Chris were so helpful. If you need a new car go see Brandon!

Guys are a bunch of crooks! Took my 01 Pathfinder to get re initialized which is a pretty cut and dry process, but they held it for 4 days saying that they thought something else was wrong with it then tried to tell me that the timing chain snapped and my engine was shot so if I wanted to tow her out of there that would be fine but that they would make me a deal and take my Pathfinder in on trade! Come on seriously! All that was wrong with her was the idle control was off and had to get relearned, again simple process for a mechanic, anyways whatever you do don’t get work done down there.
The guy that was helping me down there is named Kevin, younger guy not the mechanic but the guy that writes the quotes and what not pretty much the whipping boy just FYI

Michelle was very helpful but as soon as the fat sales manager came over it was all negative and we walked out and bought a $ 38 000 car next door. If you guys at Nissan are wondering why your sales are so low it’s because of that sales manger you got treating everyone like shit! Worst customer service I’ve ever had! We will never by a Nissan again and you can be sure we will tell all our friends about this location! –5 stars

Worst customer service I have ever received.
Purchased a SUV from this company. Sales associate stated that we would receive weather tech floor mats. Made it sound like it was just included with the purchase. Came to find out they charge us $ 495 for them. Which retail on the website for about $ 180. The worst part is it took them 2 months to get them in. We continued to call for the 2 months to see where the mats were. Called multiple times a day for weeks. Asked to speak to a manager. NEVER got a call back from management.
Finally after 2 months received the call that that they were in. Went into pick them up on a Sunday. They were locked in the parts department. Then the manger that was working proceeded to yell us that it is our fault for coming in on Sunday. If a business is open 7 days a week. How are we supposed to know they have certain departments closed certain days? Do not buy a car from these people.

I bought a car here a little over a year ago and really I was pretty satisfied with them and their service. However, in the last week, I have had 4 phone calls, two voicemails, a text message and two emails today asking if I want to buy a car. At this point they seem pretty desperate to make a sale. It’s really over the top. I’m not really motivated to buy from them again.
Update: all phone calls, text messages and emails were sent from local numbers and staff at the dealership. Coordination of contacts really can be easily managed and tracked if they so desired. I responded to one email and a half hour later I receive another email. I let a call go to voicemail because I was at work and they hung up and called again. That time leaving a voicemail. They did this twice in one week. The contacts are clearly from the local level, not from some third party provider. Apologies, accepting accountability instead of blaming third parties, fixing it, and stopping it would go a long way.

Review on Salesperson:
After a few weeks looking for a used car I came across a vehicle I loved at an amazing price. I sent over a request online to view the vehicle and was promptly greeted and introduced to Vivian upon arrival. She was AWESOME!!! Her customer service skills are top notch and she worked hard to get me a great deal. She knew what I wanted to spend a month and she made it happen after some negotiating. There were no games. Ultimately I received a great deal, great service, and a vehicle I love. I would do business with Vivian again in the future.
Review on Dealership:
Since purchasing the vehicle there have been two problems with the vehicle itself, but with being 4 years old and over 90,000 miles that is to be expected. The first which was resolved immediately by Rairdon’s was an electrical issue caused by their detailer. While cleaning the car they got water into the fuse panel, which in GMs is located in spot that can easily collect water. They apologized, dried it out, and arranged for a rental while they completed the work.
The second issue I will be having addressed next week which appears to be a problem with the shocks or suspension. The vehicle is safe and drive-​able but is making a thumping noise with turns, a vehicle inspection before sale should have caught this problem. I called them up and they said bring it in, I hope they continue to exceed my expectations and resolve this issue, I will post an update with how it turns out.
Update:
AVOID! The car was in the shop for about a month to have the problems addressed with the shocks and suspension. The problem was resolved and a few months later the car is back in the shop with similar problems. All of these issues were reported by the original owner, however, were never disclosed to me when I purchased the vehicle. I asked to speak with the owner of the dealership to have the issues addressed or at least the repairs paid for, but never heard a response. The honorable thing to do would be purchase the vehicle back for what it sold for, minus mileage, and not stick me with a car plagued by mechanical issues. I have learned my lesson and will never do business with this dealership again.

The great internet deal that was advertised could not be found when I showed up. I even asked them before heading down from Seattle if the car was still available. They said yes. A@@holes! They tried selling me a new car instead. Don’t trust them!
Update: the manager emailed me asking what happened. I told him. He never got back to me either. That was a week ago. What a bunch of clowns!

They failed to install a theft-​tracking system for which they’d pressured me to pay hundreds of dollars over the car price. When I tried repeatedly to register it on the website and via the phone number, I was told that no such system existed. Queries to Rairdon Nissan were put off for a month blaming it on the state’s slow registration process and I was told to just wait. Then when the denial of service went on another month the sleazy salesman started ignoring my phone calls; I had to repeatedly call accounts, who acted as if I was a pest asking something ridiculous, before I got through to managers who twice told me I must be doing something wrong on the internet if I couldn’t find the service.
It turns out this is the classic of getting the consumer to pay for something worthless and then hoping she will forget about it or accept the blame, because when I at last was able to get an appointment to bring the car in for service, luckily I happened to overhear the serviceman tell the sales manager that indeed the system I had been charged for had never installed. But until I protested, I was not offered either an apology OR the choice between their actually installing the thing or a refund!
I’ve now heard the same thing happened to another customer, so my experience wasn’t unique. They’ve responded to my complaint saying the installed unit was faulty, not that it wasn’t actually there. They might have me confused with other customers treated similarly.

Here is what happened.
1) I called the dealer and they agreed on a price. I went over and they said they’ll give me the agreed price PLUS any dealer installed options. Really??? They forced carpet + GPS tracking security system for $ 1600!!! They knew I was new in town and played the usual game of «there is another buyer waiting» game. While I was thinking about making a decision another dealer guy actually took the keys and said someone else wants to take the car for a test drive. He took the car to the side of the building and parked the car and came back in 15 minutes. Well I guess we know the games they play.
2) Ok anyway — I paid the extra price — as I needed the car. Got the financing from NMAC for 0.9% and left with the car. Thought OK I paid extra for accessories but at least got a great APR.
3) 3 days later — I get a call that they need me to come to the office — from Bothell to Auburn to see my SSN? Sounded strange but whatever — I went. When I got there — they told me they can’t do 0.9% but got another lender from Alaska for 5.9% PLUS I need to return the rebate of $ 1000 that I initially got when they approved 0.9%. I tired to reason with them and understand how could they changed the terms after approved but they said I need to either take new 5/​9% financing, add $ 1000 to my loan (in lieu of rebate) or leave the car.
I was fed up by now. So I left the car.
4) Then they kept calling me the next day and leaving messages. Please come back and let’s work something out.
I didn’t go back and never want to go back!!! Would you?

I come here at once ever 3 months and the service department is awesome! The service advisor Debbie is so great, extremely helpful and attentive!

The service and parts department were very understanding and worked to get my car back on the road. I had a couple of major fixes needed to be made, and not only did they give me a great understanding of what was broken, but they kept me in the loop throughout the entire repair process. I decided to go the route of getting a couple of rebuilt parts installed in my car, and the service managers assisted me in getting warranty information. George was the main manager that I was assisted by and he went above and beyond in ensuring that I was leaving the dealership with a repaired vehicle in a short amount of time. I also spoke to a women named Debbie who was also very nice and easy to work with. I had a couple of visits to get my car checked on to ensure everything was smooth, and the staff was fast to fix or check up on my vehicle.
I drive an older vehicle that drove a little rough, and wasn’t the most reliable, but after receiving the vehicle back is was much smoother. I learned that they tightened up my suspension, and ensured that the parts critical to the vehicles ride were all performing correctly. Fast forward to now with two weeks of smooth driving and my vehicle is performing better then it has in years and I feel extremely comfortable in recommending anyone to their service department.

Most people would rather have teeth removed than deal with the hassle of buying a car but my folks needed to buy a new SUV so I got the task of being the negotiator. I did most of their research for them and they had a few different models in mind but were leaning towards the Nissan Rogue SV with Nav package. I had heard about Costco’s buying program and one of the dealers they partner with was Rairdon. Leo Julio was the guy who initially approached us when we came in. He was super friendly and not pushy at all. That’s a good thing cause I typically crush car salespeople when it comes to negotiating (being a sales rep for years). Costco’s site lists our invoice and MSRP with all the options so it gives you a good starting point and takes away a lot of the negotiating hassle. You can pay anywhere from 2−4K less than MSRP on most models. The initial numbers they came with weren’t even close to what we had in mind but they wanted to make a deal. eventually we were able to get the car for invoice and a good amount on the trade in. We walked out with the exact car we wanted for an awesome price and great buying experience. Thank you to the staff at Rairdon. The finance gal is especially nice! Kudos to Mr. Leo Julio! service is always so slow! I waited close to 2 ½ hours to an oil change. I went back to for another oil change and again it took a 2hours — ½ faster than the last time. I was hoping it was a bad day the first time — but it’s slow. expect delays if you take your car there.

Wow, this takes customer satisfaction to a new low. If only I could give no stars.
We purchased our Nissan Leaf from Rairdon’s in 2011. We were actually the first people in the state to receive the Leaf and they handled the process adequately.
Fast forward 3 years later. We received a «buy back» offer for the Leaf for cash out or applying the amount toward a new car. I called the dealership and told them that we were interested since our lease was up and the amount offered was more than our residual. I also explained that we would NOT be buying a new car because we had placed an order on another car. The parameters and expectations were set, and we made an appointment to come in.
After arriving at the dealer and going through the appraisal process, we were informed that they were full up on Leafs and didn’t need anymore. Huh. Would have been nice for them to tell us that before we trekked down to Auburn. In reality, I’m sure the answer would have been different if we had wanted to apply the amount to a new purchase. The car was in excellent condition, low miles, no damage. pristine.
Note to other customers, don’t fall for this tactic. It’s clearly a lead-​generation tool and we fell ploy to the bait and switch. Really shameful, Rairdon. We won’t be buying from you EVER and hope that this review will help dissuade others as well.
