Rock N Roll Sushi

Great place! Awesome food. Order three appetizers and all three were amazing. Between the four of us, we had three different rolls and the new habachi bowls. Service was a little slow but that can be fixed. Server was attentive after a slow go. Owner was very accommodating and explained growing pains. Overall experience was pretty good and we will be back!

Went here once and it was amazing, I had a wonderful server and I ordered the beef tataki and it came out on a bed of fried rice and had 3 sauces on the side! But then I came back and I ordered the same thing and it originally came out on lettuce, covered in sauces (instead of on the side) and then I asked for it to come on rice, and it was paired with sushi rice that tasted like fish, and she charged for me the rice. The first time it was 8.95 for both the meat and rice, and the second it was 11.95 and disgusting! Won’t be back.

While I will say that their sushi is the best in Auburn (although that’s not really saying much, considering their competition), it does not make up for their staggeringly terrible service! Never. Go. Here.
1) Sign at entrance says «Seat Yourself.» Fine, but don’t take twenty minutes to notice that we’ve seated ourselves.
2) Table was disgustingly unclean when we sat down. When a waitress finally approached us, she noticed and commented on it, but never bothered to clean it.
3) After waiting twenty minutes just to order drinks and appetizers, we had to wait another fifteen for drinks to show up.
4) A table that sat down half an hour after us got their food before we even got our appetizers. This was evidently because they had ordered some of the same things we had, and the manager (who heretofore had just been sitting behind the counter) mistook our order for theirs and delivered it to the wrong table. Way to help out…
5) Drink refills are an unknown phenomenon here.
6) Somewhere between table and sushi chef, our order was lost. Entire order. Waitress comes over after we’ve been there over an hour, and says, «Now what did y’all order again?» We told her, and asked if that meant our order hadn’t even been started yet. She said it had, just that there was a computer glitch. Riiiight… So we ordered. Again. Seriously.
7) Food finally came. What we received was fairly close to what we’d ordered: won’t even bother to complain about that. And it wasn’t bad, although everything was covered (like, COVERED) in this one spicy sauce that kills any other flavor).
8) We spoke to the manager about our awful (and two hour long) experience. He offered us one round of free drinks. Awesome — super helpful. Buddy, you think a a free beer is gonna make up for wasting two hours of our lives?! Methinks not. Will never, ever go back.

I was excited to see a new sushi option in Auburn because I saw that its sister restaurants in the state of Alabama were consistently 5 star reviewed. So I was anticipating a good meal. Sadly, this place is a bust.
Starting from the top:
–We were seated at a dirty table, and the server never offered to wipe it down.
–With only two other tables in the restaurant, we still had to wait over 10 minutes for our waters.
–We started off with the cucumber crab salad and the bomb bomb shrimp, and both appetizers were bland and generic. Both were drowned in Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce that anyone can buy for $ 3.29/bottle at Walmart.
–We also ordered the Red Hot Chili Peppers roll, the Scorpions roll, and the Journey roll. After the disappointing appetizers, I’m hoping the meal is going to rally around the sushi. The sushi arrives looking malnourished, anemic, and smothered in the exact same Thai chili sauce that were on the appetizers.
–The server was just rude in a «I don’t really care about you, I hate my job» kind of way. And he didn’t really do a good job of hiding it.
Sad to report that Auburn is still without a decent sushi option. If you’re really craving it, go to Wasabi in Opelika. They do half off of rolls Monday through Wednesday and they have AMAZING curries.

Best fish in Auburn easily. And the rolls are pretty good as well. Beats arigatos and fuji in my opinion and im pretty picky about my sushi.

Definitely is better than Fuji! I LOVE this place! Very chill and laid back atmosphere. Food and chefs are awesome! Sushi/​fish is fresh and beautiful in color. A MUST try for sure! If you’re unsure about what to get just ask the waiter or waitress. Trust me you cannot go wrong with anything you get here. They have descriptions for every roll on their menu.

We were the only table in the whole restaurant and the service was extremely bad. Management left our poor waitress all by herself on her first day. Will not being going back anytime soon.

More like 3.5. The atmosphere is great, all of the rock n roll stuff is cool. However, we were fairly disappointed by the food. First, our miso soup was lukewarm and tasted like it came from a package. We ordered the Heart roll, which was pretty tasty. However, our shrimp tempura roll was bland and kind of hard. I thought this place was going to be a hit, but it definitely missed the mark. For the expensive prices, I’m not sure it’s worth it.

My new favorite sushi place in Auburn! New and creative sushi ideas… try the Michael Jackson roll! DELICIOUS!
