Sound Oxygen Service

BEWARE of this company!!! My score isn’t based on a single event, but numerous of complete lapses in customer service and providing product. I have on 3 different occassions had my cpap supplies delayed because Sound Oxygen fails to follow through with orders, or sending the wrong product. It has been up to 12 days in their getting back to me about a wrong product, and when I finally heard from them, they checked and then told me it was back ordered. Repeated promises, then excuses, then apologies is their mode. I am going with NORCO.
They are clueless that the supplies and services they are supposed to deliver can affect a persons health and well being!
Ask your provider to find another vendor if they route you to Sound Oxygen!

Stay far far away from this company. I can’t believe someone would give them five stars. If you pay attention, you will see that they are not trustworthy. They just cannot get their stuff together.
First, they constantly change how you order supplies. At one point they said they would call you to order supplies then changed it to you were supposed to call them and then changed to you should order supplies online. After this all failed, they went back to calling you. This isn’t a huge problem except that they are not reliable. They don’t call on time, can be very difficult to reach, and don’t send the right supplies. I had to return damaged masks and incorrect products multiple times. It took months that included me calling and/​or emailing them every few days. I even provided photo evidence. They treat you like you are a criminal who can’t be trusted. They are the criminals!
Most of all, DO NOT TRUST their billing department. Go over any order/​bill you receive with a fine tooth comb. Keep all receipts for payments you made.
I have received so many random bills months later. I don’t even use their service anymore, yet I keep getting billed for things I already paid for. I just recently got a bill for about $ 75. I showed them the receipt with proof that I already paid it. They had some lame excuse then said I owe just around $ 18. Why did they send me the bill for $ 75 then? No apologizes or anything. I now have to verify all orders and bills I received to confirm this charge of $ 18.
Seriously, just do not do business with them. They are always trying to swindle you.

I agree with earlier posts — something changed at SOS a couple years ago and since then, they have been impossible to deal with. They bill the wrong insurance carrier and forget calling their billing department. In the last two years they have NEVER answered that line. I email them, call them and in desperation I visit their offices to get somebody to listen to me. Now, they’ve just started billing me for a CPAP I got over a year ago that my insurance supposedly pays for (They pay for a new one every 5 years). This company’s policies and processes are abysmal.

I’ve given Sound Oxygen every opportunity to make things right. They just can’t do it. They never return calls. They do not follow through. They send the wrong supplies. Again. And again. And again. I’m done I will be suggesting a new vendor to my doctor’s office.

When I received my CPAP SOS sold me a bill of goods saying that they would do everything and that Medicare would pay all costs.
A month ago I received a call from them saying that there had been a problem collecting from Medicare but that they were aware of what it was and would correct their billing — not to worry.
Today I received a bill for $ 100.00 plus with no explanation. Oh yes, I still have not received the supplies that I ordered a couple of months ago.
This company certainly needs to have some lessons on customer service and professionalism.

Both of my parents have sleep apnea and use Sound Oxygen Service for all of their CPAP needs. It has been amazing the way it has changed their lives. They have lost weight and are healthier and happier than they have been in more than 10 years. SOS has been very responsive to all their needs and make sure they have new supplies to get the most our of their PAP therapy.

I had never heard of Sound Oxygen Service before January of 2013 but I am so glad that I found them. I have had nothing but consistent support and care from their offices and found their staff to be knowledgeable and super friendly. I am so glad to have found a company like Sound Oxygen to help me with my CPAP needs!

I initially used Sound Oxygen Service at the recommendation of my doctor to provide me with CPAP equipment and supplies. From the end of 2010 and through most of 2011, they were very responsive and supportive. Towards the end of 2011 it became apparent that something had changed. I’d leave multiple messages and never got a return call. After nearly 2 months of nonexistent customer service, I moved my business to Apria Healthcare who have been both professional and responsive.
Interestingly enough, once I started doing business with Apria, Sound Oxygen Service started contacting me with robo-​calls. Damned if I can get them to take me off of their call list.
Don’t do business with Sound Oxygen Service. Give your business to anyone else.
