History

Established in 2009.

I started Traveling 4 Health & Retirement (THR) because I couldn’t find a comprehensive website where I could find and communicate directly with people from my own country and culture who were taking advantage of traveling for treatment or who could share how they were handling their health and wellness needs while residing abroad.

THR has helped thousands of people with free information and hundreds of people find global resources to benefit their lives.

Although we are a for-​profit consumer reporting website, we do not benefit from the free and unrestricted flow of information exchanged by patients and doctors.

Members and providers can communicate directly and privately. Any mention of a medical provider in patient-​generated reviews, blogs or feature articles is noted on the provider’s user-​profile. In this way, members gain insights about a provider’s reputation through sources that can be verified and contacted.

Revenue Model: Membership is free to all.

* My background researching the retirement industry includes working for two years for Wesley Homes Retirement Communities expanding my field-​knowledge while developing a solid baseline of stories about their culture for their collateral and online marketing needs.
