I’ve never been here when someone hasn’t met me at the door to ask if I need help. Someone is always available to take you right to the thing you need. And they’re not only willing to help, but they’re actually knowledgeable about the things they sell. It’s like a mom and pop hardware store but with a big inventory and competitive prices. To top it off, they have free popcorn which is a huge help when I have my kids with me.

I love this place, and not just because it’s a more convenient location than the mega stores in Tiger Town. The staff wins the day here: friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful, and present! I can’t stress enough how nice it is to walk in, be greeted promptly, and then escorted to whatever you need. They’re so efficient they might actually miss an opportunity to let me walk around and impulse shop!(sort of joking!) They may not have 10 different brands of each item, but they have enough of what you need to meet everyday and some exceptional tasks.

In a convenient location near the mall and movie theater, University Ace is dwarfed size-wise by giants Lowe’s and Home Depot but features accessible, friendly staff. The employees were all smiling and happy to help us. I needed some plumbing supplies and was able to quickly locate what I had in mind after a gentleman pointed us to the right aisle. Prices were reasonable. Ace is a chain but has a pleasant, local, non-chain feel. I don’t spend much time in hardware stores, but this was a good visit overall.
