Those 2 Guys Handyman

I’ve used them last year a lot of times and was very happy, I tried to use them again this year, but they were a no-​show. I tried to call and got «they’ll call me back», I liked them so much that I tried a number of times, but finally I had to move along. Too bad I really did like them.

I’ve used Those 2 Guys for a few projects over the last year and have not been disappointed. Rich arrived on time and did great work at a fair price. I’ve had him mount televisions on my walls, install a cat door in my barn, and install various pieces of hardware (hooks, etc. in my barn). I plan to use Those 2 Guys in the future and would recommend them to others.

Appointment for 10 am. Rental apartment in Marlton. Left my house in King of Prussia at 9 am. 945 am a message to say they would not arrive until noon. Sat in mall for 1 ½ hours. Back to apartment by 1145 am. 1215 pm phone call from a lady saying they were «running late.» Called her back at 1230 pm to tell her if they had not appeared by 1, I was leaving. «They’ll be there at 1,’ said she. I finally left the apartment at 130. No-​one ever showed up. No explanation. 5 ½ hours for nothing.

I was very pleased with T2G handyman services. Rich arrived on time (early actually) he was very professional, his fees were fair and he completed the job.

I asked him to give me an estimate while he was here for a few other jobs in my home.
I would not hesitate to use Those Two Guys Handyman services again.

I called these guys for a quote on some plumbing work because of their rave reviews here on Unilocal.Rich came over and was prompt, gave me a fair estimate. However when I tried to get in contact with them about setting up the work I also I wanted to verify if they were licensed/​insured for the plumbing work. Over the course of a full business week I tried to get in touch. I emailed Rich directly 2x and nothing. Called their business number and never got somebody to pick up the phone (had same issue when trying to arrange original quote, too). I was in the middle of a voicemail and the machine cut off so I tried to email them from their website. No response to that either. Very frustrating as I lost time in getting these repairs done while trying to wait on them.

I recently had Those 2 guys do a plethora of jobs in my home. Rich And Alex were very reasonable. The jobs were done in a timely manner and they even ran to Home Depot for a job I asked them to do at the last minute. Thank goodness I found 2 trustworthy guys to get so much stuff done around the house !!!

I called for a quote to power wash my Mom’s house. Rich arrived on time and after discussing the job details I asked if he had time to look at some other minor repairs that Mom needed inside and figure out a quote for those, too.
Without hesitating, Rich fixed two bi fold doors and a potentially dangerous outlet ON THE SPOT and did not want anything for it! That’s a stand up guy!
With all the scams these days of people taking advantage, it’s refreshing to see that chivalry still exists and some men still take pride in their work!

Rich just finished replacing the Gas Wall oven in our 30+ year old house. Guy is top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. We had purchased the oven through Home Depot and they say they don’t install them. One phone call and Rich made it out first thing in the morning. Ran into a couple of snags due to the age of the house but Rich worked right through them. The oven install looks great.

Rich came to estimate the job which would need 2 men for 1 hour – which was fine. Since I was flexible, he called when a cancellation came up – and did the exterior door replacement in this extremely cold, snow filled weather. Job was done well – and I was a happy customer. WOULD RECOMMEND to family & friends!

My experience with 2 Guys Handyman didn’t go as well as everyone elses. I bought an Amazon voucher for them and were going to use them to install a dishwasher and a new deadbolt on my door. I told them this when I called to schedule. I was not at home when they came, but my girlfriend was. The guy comes, tells her that we can use the voucher for time, but we’d have to pay extra for the parts he’d need to hook up the dishwasher (fair) and that he didnt have the tool he needed so that he could pick that up and charge us for that too. Lol, yes a handyman came over to do a job, didnt have the tool, and wanted us to pay for him to get it. I told her to tell him we would pass on the lock installation and just stick to the dishwasher.
So I get home after work, load up the dishwasher and try to run it and it won’t run. Concerned, I peek under the sink. Now, I know very little about plumbing and this is my first house, but I remark «I see the drainage hookup to the sink… but I swear I dont see a water line going into the dishwasher.» Welp, I called them back up the next day and they sent him back out there. Turns out he forgot to hookup the water for my dishwasher install. Honest mistake, probably, but kind of one of the more important things for this job. Within the next day or two, I notice my sink is leaking now in the places he installed a new pipe (Y-​shaped PVC pipe that hooked up to the drainage from the dishwasher) and I call back once again. They tell me they will try to send him back out. At this point, I tell the receptionist that I’ve been pretty dissatisfied with their service so far and that if theres «2 guys» if they could send out the other one. She tells me shes gonna talk to the manager and call me back. Well, 4 – 5 days later I get a call back saying they were going to send a plumber out to me to fix my sink that evening. I say I won’t be available that evening and she tells me that she’ll talk to the plumber again to see when he’s available and call me back. I never heard from them again. My dad and I fixed the leak with about 10 minutes of work. I dont even think the pipe connector thing (washer?) was screwed on straight.
To be fair, they never charged me for the parts that were probably $ 10 – 20, but I also think that was right of them. They DID try to rectify the situation, initially, but never really did in the end. I dont think they are bad people or trying to rip anyone off… but the work I received was not at all satisfactory.

I had Rich insulate, drywall and spackle the exterior walls of my garage. There was a fair amount of framing that had to be done to get around things, but a pretty straightforward job.
They did a very nice job. Rich was quick to respond to any issues that I had. Unfortunately, some of the tape bubbled at some of the joints. When I pointed it out, Rich quickly addressed the issue and re-​taped the problem areas.
Rich is a really nice guy and easy to deal with. His prices are reasonable, he’s prompt and courteous, and cleans up neatly as he works. He never comes off like a know-​it-​all and treats you with respect, which is sooo simple to do but something a lot of contractors forget. You’d figure if you were in the service business, that this would be automatic. Unfortunately, it isn’t, I’ve dealt with too many disagreeable people. Rich was great to deal with.
I would definitely use them again for small jobs around the house.

One of the difficult aspects of moving across the bridge was losing a lot of preexisting relationships with reliable contractors who were not licensed to practice in New Jersey.
Our house is 102-​years old and has all the charm and all the problems that you might expect from such an old building. As a result, finding good contractors was a top priority for us.
Through the three years that we have lived in New Jersey, we had one terrible experience after another with contractors — Haddon Tree Company and Raynor Electric being the notable exceptions.
Many of the businesses we used overcharged and underperformed, which made us decide to go out on and try lots of new and unfamiliar businesses. That’s exactly why we agreed to take a chance on Those 2 Guys when we saw the business listing pop up on Unilocal.
At the time, they had a deal that cost $ 50 for $ 100 worth of service. We figured it was worth a shot since our dishwasher was on the fritz.
When I called T2G, they gave us such a reasonable quote to fix the dishwasher that we opted not to buy the deal and shortchange the fledgling business.
The work turned out to be more than they expected but they stood by their original quote and only charged us $ 60 to repair the dishwasher.
Since then, we’ve had them back to help us out with multiple projects and received affordable quotes for bigger undertakings that we hope to complete down the road. Every quote was reasonable and the work that they have done so far has consistently been top notch.
What amazed me most about this business was how the two brothers who make up Those 2 Guys really went the extra mile. When discussing a bad experience with another contractor, one of the brothers shook his head and asked how people could do such shoddy work. He then proclaimed that he refuses put his name on any work that is not up to his very strict standards. To date, he’s lived up to that promise.
He even went on to repair some of the previous contractor’s mistakes at no additional cost.
I cannot tell you how relieved I am to finally find a business I can trust that does terrific work and does not try to rip you off at all.
Whenever we have any work that needs to be done around the house that we cannot do or do not have the time to complete, Those 2 Guys will be the first business we call. If you live in New Jersey and need a handyman, I highly suggest yo do the same.
