Comcast Service Center

Let me start that on 5÷9÷15 Me and my wife paid a deposit AND took care of a past due acct and decided to go with Comcast even though we had an active cable service with a competitor already connected. Sunday cable tech ran new lines to the house and left, NO signal from the new line, no internet all day, called 5 times and they assured me that MON. we would have service, guess what NO service on Monday, come to find out it was an open ticket for 8am to 8 pm. I lost my cool and they bumped me up to an «escalated» ticket for tuesday. Guess what here it is Tuesday and NO tech no internet, I have called again at 5 more times and they said now they had me on an open ticket for all day… AGAIN! Now here it is going into Wed and I have an automated mssg stating that I will have a service visit on Wed. from 1 – 3 pm. Lets see if this happens…
I am SO frustrated at this whole ordeal, I don’t even HAVE service and paid for it. The outsourcing aggravates me and every time I call I get some Indian csr with an English name like «Robert» or «Kieth» that has NO Clue to whats going on unless he reads my notations on my account wich has been nothing but call after call after call waiting for a tech to activate my line for internet. I feel so stupid for disconnecting the other provider and it was ALREADY connected and running to my domicile!
Heres what I learned, IF new cable has to be ran… thats what you get ONE guy runs the cable, later a tech checks and activates the line on another date. NO MATTER how much or how many times you call, they will say anything to get you out of their hair, ANYTHING! The best thing to do is stay on the line as long as possible with them and hang up when done… why? Because every CSR is rated on how fast they get you done, that accounts for a Bonus, the longer you’re on the lower their score, that lowers their bonus.
Comcast service on the field is unreliable and this is before I actually have service with them JUST for internet.

1 star is being overly generous! This is where I wish Unilocal had the elusive «0 star rating» to properly convey my complete disdain for this rotting dumpster heap of a company. Ethically grey is a polite way to refer to their business practices, morally corrupt is another fun description. All in all, the only piece of advise I can offer to anyone looking to use their services is: run! Do you like arbitrary charges, and phantom penalties and fees? Do you like internet throttling, and consistent substandard speeds? Do you enjoy overpaying for a service that always lets you down? Big fan of Internet capping in asinine overage charges? Because they have that in spades! Costumer service you ask? Why yes! You will wait on hold for several hours only to be transferred for one ignorant costumer «service» person to another, only to be eventually disconnected and have to start the whole process over! If all these things sound good to you, then Comcast may be your perfect match! But if you, like myself, have a soul and a brain and would rather have quality service from a company that hasn’t sold their soul to the devil, then go with ANYONE ELSE! So in summation, Comcast is a heartless evil corporation, whose only goal is to suck all the pleasure and happiness out of the world after having stolen all of your money.

I seem to get good customer service when I call in for the television or for my wifi internet. Every once in awhile I have to call and try to auto refresh or you can request a rep to refresh for you.

However, I am upset more than enough that my wireless and internet service goes down frequently. Causing me to call multiple times to refresh… SIGH.
On November 21, 2014 — I called to get my remote control replaced and the phone rep gave me three options: 1) mail it to me and I’ll pay shipping. 2). Exchange at this comcast he’d Augusta headquarter. 3) have a technician deliver to me.
I opted to go to the Augusta hdqt. Long line with 5 windows. All were open. I had to wait for about 15 mins. before I made my way to a window. Service courteous, quick and prompt.
I gave him my old remote and he gave me a new remote. No questions asked.

Comcast has a horrible customer service. It takes 15 – 20 minutes to talk to someone then the call drops in the middle of the conversation. it happened 4 times. How come they are still in business? aside from providing a horrible customer service they told me basic TV and Internet bundle would cost $ 57 and one time installation fee of $ 79 ($ 136) but I received a bill for $ 195. When the technician came and installed everything he asked me to sign for the job he got done and I saw 57 service and 79 installation and I signed it but the bill amount was $ 195.

I’m not sure where comcast finds it’s customer service folks but there needs to be a change in the screening process or training process or most likely both. The only reason I left one star is because I don’t see a zero. My experience for the last 4 months has been terrible and has ended in paying more than was quoted over the phone. Promises of supervisors calling and tapes being pulled are not honored. Even canceling service today because of moving was a hassle. If other choices are around, take them. Stay away from comcast!!!

1. The Comcast people here don’t want to give out the local office number
2. When I called the 800 Comcast number, they assured me that even though I was unable to call the Comcast building, they’d be there till 5. I arrived at 2:00 and the whole building was shut down. Uh huh…
3. Tried two days later, and the same thing happened again.
I could go on a rant about why I hate the Comcast here but I’m sure everyone has their reasons for not loving Comcast.

Every month they try to charge me for renting a modem… I own my modem and I don’t rent one of theirs. Every month? Really? Make a note on my account or something. Also, I don’t want cable. I use streaming. However I am suspicious that they are hampering my streaming capabilities around prime time to push me to cable. I don’t think they are throttling but perhaps not adequately building the infrastructure for the internet side.

Wow. I wish there was something else offered in our neighborhood. We get the price for our monthly bill… it stays that way for ONE month. Then it rises by $ 10.00 every month until we’re paying up to $ 200 for cable and internet. I hate hate hate this service. We always have to call to get it fixed. We tried calling WOW and dish but they are not offered in our new neighborhood.

I gave them 1 star only because I couldn’t give them NONE!!! There is no worse cable/​internet company than Comcast. They know they have the monopoly in our area so they don’t strive to provide good customer service they price gouge and they flat out lie! I was quoted one price on my internet when I signed up and was told that price was for the first 12 months then the price would be $ 12 more for the next 12 months. When my neighbor called to get he same deal he was told no such deal existed. I called an was told that my rate was only good for 6 months and that I would then have to pay the standard rate even though I had the agents name and extention that quoted the prices to me and signed me up. Great Business Practices Comcast! Now they want to put caps on internet usage! But I guess that when you are the only game in town you get to make the rules huh? We need to tell the City Commissioner that we are tired of being under Comcast thumb and to make them sell their franchise so other providers can come in. If they had some competition they would have to step up their game and provide better rates and customer service.
