First let me start by saying I hardly ever go out to nightclubs or bars but it was my friend’s birthday so I decided to venture out on a Saturday night. My friends picked this spot and I agreed to meet them their. When I arrived it was about 6 people ahead of me and because they do a thorough pat down on people, I was outside in the cold longer than I wanted to be but I do appreciate them for checking everyone before allowing people to enter the establishment. Once I get passed the pat down process I go to pay to get in which was $ 15. I was a little surprised because the person in front of me only paid $ 10. I assume the person working to door gets to pick and choose how much to charge people. I walked inside and immediately a photographer asks to take my picture. I was cute so I said yes without hesitation. The bar isn’t all that big and to the right they have about 4VIP sections set up. There are a few tables to the left for sitting and a spacious dance floor. There is also a section up front for smoking. The actual bar is all the way in the back and I made my way there to get my first drink of the night. There was four bartenders behind the bar and there wasn’t that many people waiting but it took, in my opinion, way longer to get two drinks than necessary. The bartenders had no sense of urgency and wasn’t friendly at all. The plus side side is that the drinks were two for one… and my friend and I definitely took advantage of that deal. Because of the length of time it took to get my first drink I didn’t bother to get another one which is rare, considering I love a good drink. Towards the end of the night I decided to order some wings. I placed my order for five lemon pepper wings which came with fries. My total was about $ 7 which is like $ 1 per wing, yikes. I didn’t get to eat them until I got home and well… I was very disappointed. The wings were salty and under cooked. I’ll definitely give their kitchen another try on maybe a slower night. The DJ played a mix of music and had everyone dancing… which is of course his ultimate goal. He ended the night with a little old school music that got the crowd even more hype. Overall I had a pretty good time at Flame and would consider going there again.
