SalonDuo opened in February of 2013 with the focus centering on the ‘salon experience’. The Salon’s goal is to make clients feel appreciated, comfortable, and pampered in an edgy and classy atmosphere.

History

Established in 2013.

The vision of SalonDuo was shared between two stylists who have been co-​workers for the past nine years. Each of the owners started their careers at a corporate salon within a month of each other, upon completion of Beauty school in 2003. After gaining knowledge and experience, they were ready to take the jump from a corporate salon to a private salon. They both decided to become a part of a new upscale salon that was opening downtown.

For the next 6 years Hope Key and Nicole Powledge worked at the upscale salon where they gained a solid foundation in color formulation and advanced techniques while attending Goldwell Academy classes in Santa Monica, Baltimore, and Atlanta. In August of 2012 the ‘Duo’ decided it was time in their careers to open their own salon.
