Established in 2008.

Vintage clothing from 1880 to 1980. We specialize in Joseph LaRose vintage NOS shoes and offer everything from womens clothing, lingere, jewelry, hats, shoes to accessories. We also carry clothing & accessories for Men & Children. Our theatrical quality costume rentals are originally from Fat Man’s and we rent to local community theaters, school and churches as well as individuals. Our Mehron makeup is a professional stage quality that offers eveyrthing from high definition makeup to special effects.

I am a rag picker.

I have been collecting and studying the history of fashion and vintage clothing since I was a young girl. My Mother took me to Estate Sales all thru my childhood. She taught me to appreciate older things because they were made of finer quality materials and much better craftsmanship than what you can typically buy today.

Everyone in my family has always loved dressing up in costumes. We had themed parties and my Mother and I use to make most of the crazy outfits. I was the mascot at Aquinas and dressed up as a leprechaun. I received a BA in Art at LaGrange College in 1981.

One day I hope to write a book about the experience of opening this shop, hunting for clothes and all of the interesting people I have met.
