Their sign is labeled Whiskey Bar(Kitchen), but I think they need to place more emphasis on the kitchen because it is phenomenal. They, like so many other restaurants on Broad Street, take a small amount of food and perfect it. The maple chili Whiskey Waffle Fries are an outstanding combination of sweet, salty, and spicy and go great with any of their burgers. They even have a few beers on tap, but that of course is overshadowed by the massive list of whiskey ranging from $ 4 to $ 120 or so. Knowledgable and passionate bartenders will happily recommend a brand for a particular mixed drink or to sip straight. I always opt for an old fashioned with Bulleit. Quality woodwork lines the walls of the small interior that makes a great stop for lunch, dinner, or a night of alcohol consumption along Broad. Be prepared to wait on a busy night, for both a table and then service after you’re seated, which is the only thing lowering my rating.

I give five stars because the food is absolutely amazing. Their burgers, in my opinion, are definitely their specialty and the sweet potato fries are to die for. All the sauce options are uniquely infused with both American and Asian flavors like the maple sriracha or wasabi mayo(my fave). The atmosphere is incredibly loud at peak times like the height of dinner or lunch, but that truly is the only complaint I could find. Not cheap, but not insanely expensive either.

Server was a little rude. Still waiting for water as I write this. Very good liquor, wine and beer selection. Menunis limited to burgers but they have some small plate items that provide some creative optikns. The pork belly tacos and rice bowls look tasty. Limited taps for beer but have a good bottle selection. Would give it 4 stars… but I am still waiting for my water…

This food is pretty good, but the place insanely loud. Surprised more folks aren’t commenting on that in these reviews. I could hardly hear the person across the table. This was a 2nd shot at this place, but I now remember why I hadn’t been back sooner. Will not go back mostly based on that.

For 2 burgers with fries and 3 drinks you’re looking around $ 42 with tip. It has been some time since my last visit and I am very glad to see a lot of improvements. The WB and the devil(cant remember the name) burger were ordered with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries really are great, they have a strong sweet potato flavor with the outside giving you a crunch and the inside being creamy. The burger itself I was able to get cooked medium rare. The patty was very good and the burger overall was good. The jalapeño’s on the burger were fresh but had no heat, I will chuck that up to being out of season. The bacon on the burger had tons of flavor and went well with the heat in the burger. The item that doesn’t work is the bun. The best way to describe the bun is its«slidey.» As in the burger and the contents keep sliding right out of the bun. The burger I choose it was the only option but maybe they would substitute if asked. The service was ok. The server was nice but very slow getting us our drinks. All in all I was happy with my food and experience. I wouldn’t mind going back to grab a burger and brew.

Oh my gosh I love their burgers. And their shrimp wraps have a killer sauce which I could use in anything I eat from now on. It’s spicy, creamy and sprinkled with just the right amount of herbs. I often can’t decide whether to order two shrimp wraps or one Cali burger ’cause they just can’t do food wrong here. I’m also so impressed with their beer and whiskey list. We often find a fun new beer to try out and I’ve had the joy of sipping a Pappy just once and I don’t get the hype but I’m glad I could at least try it. I do agree with some other reviewers when they say the glasses could stand to not be quite so hot ’cause that just ruins the draft beers. Come early, put your name on the list and get a quick walk around the neighborhood ’cause the wait is usually 30 – 40 minutes on the weekends but it’s worth it!

I ordered the Whiskey House Salad with Grilled Chicken; And I was very impressed! The chicken was cooked to perfection, very tender. I also ordered the Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings. I am a huge fan of s.p. fries, and these ones definitely did not disappoint! I’d eat here again, for sure.

The stroll on the River Walk in Augusta teased me. Too beautiful to describe in a paragraph short enough to keep you interested. I held my open map and followed the anticipated bliss of brick buildings, cobble stoned streets, colorful walls, vines, huge windows… and charming locals. Was it happy hour already? I felt happy and my watch held true to an hour. Good enough. Now things became eerie. I did not encounter one other casually perusing person as I walked Broad St. Yes, there were construction workers. Plenty. Busily getting tasks done. Yes, there were vendors in some shops behind counters. Yes, there were waitresses and servers busily prepping their restaurants. Empty tables. Empty chairs. I had researched my places, I had reservations for the coming two nights, but had left lunch empty hoping to choose amidst a colossal confusion of possibilities. The joke was on me. The talking traffic light posts were odd enough for me… now this sense of abandonment. Could they be filming a movie? Had I casually strutted into a scene? A lot of deserted, vacant buildings, foreclosed stores crawling under this really beautiful architecture. Dreams of a decadent time passed. A dream deferred. This place was once some kind of wonderful. Then there it was: Whiskey Bar Kitchen. A man at the bar. A couple enjoying a bottle of white wine. Crowded enough. Is lunch time too early to have some drinks? Never while on vacation. Never when exploring. A really friendly server greeted me. I asked about the loneliness. She told me a story of old money and a mosquito plague, about hoarding family treasures gone rotten, about barely letting go lately when perhaps it is too late. I thought of Jay Gatsby. I ordered a «Broad Street Sour»(since this scrumptious discovery, one of my favorite drinks) and I lost myself in so much wood. What a neat little place! I just loved the gilded ceilings, the carefully built wooden booths, the brick walls, the barrels, the exposed concrete. I did not know how lucky I had being when I walked in. About ten minutes later, the place had a waiting line of usuals. My drink arrived and I was mesmerized by the layering of colorful libations. Sophistication liquefied and to be held. Truly an amazing combination. We ordered a Banyard Pimp Nuggs and a Tokyo Beef Bowl(against my instincts which sounded exactly like the traffic light post«wait! Wait! WAIT!») What is a seemingly Japanese dish doing in this dive? It should not have remained a rhetorical question lingering in my conscience, but rather a sarcastic warning coming from the depths of my sardonic self. No. Not to be done or had. Bland skinny steak overly«onionized» with very little liquid to rescue it. I comforted my disappointment with another«Broad Street Sour» to make sure that the bartender was consistent and that my first drink had not materialized out of beginner’s luck. The nuggets were delicious. Huge squares of white. Very moist and well-seasoned. Certainly comfort food. How could I go to a whiskey bar and not order a whiskey? Since already one Japanese had disheartened me, I dared to venture once more. Japanese whiskey. Hibiki 12 years. A blend of Hakushu and Nikka. A smell f oranges and cinnamon. Oaky. Very nice. Tried it neat and straight and… on the rocks. A tiny rock, but still. I grabbed my map. Penciled in «must return.»

One question: On a scale of 1 – 10, how creative do you like your bar food? WBK is a 17. This is the first time I’ve walked into an establishment and legit wanted to try everything on the menu in one sitting, with a shot of wild turkey, because obviously, I’m a woman of class and stature. Seriously, calling the food here«bar food» is a disservice. Their culinary creations are colossal cuisine, culled from only the Kitchen of a King. I dove into their katsu and was astounded by it’s most generous of portions and the familiar yet ephemeral taste of the dish. My plate was piled high with the ugliest gravy(if you’ve ever played pokemon, it resembled MUK sitting on a mound of perfectly cooked rice) that was so whimsical and delicious I wanted to dance on my bar stool. I didn’t, not enough room at the tall tables lining the wall. On top of that, my server was so polite and attentive(Shout out to Ms. TERA haaay girl haaay), I didn’t have to wait long for refills and she was open to answering all of my questions. Long Story Short: Excellent menu for the adventurous palate. The dope customer service is just ~gravy~ baby!

Food was tasty, but a little bit on the pricier side. I had the breakfast burger with regular fries, and tried the coconut sauce, chili sauce, and the garlic aioli sauce, all of which were good. The garlic aioli one was the sauce I was prepared to like the most, but it was just missing that extra«kick» to make this a five-star rating. Service was friendly and fast, and my water was always refilled, which is always a plus to me. Would definitely come back to try some more of the food here.

My first visit to the Whiskey Bark Kitchen was the result of a spur of the moment gathering of some friends. It was a Friday night and the place was packed. The food, drinks, the atmosphere are what make this place special to me. Withe a name like this, you have to be able to deliver. I was amazed at the amount of whiskey they serve. I tried an Asian Whiskey(forgot the name, will updated review late), which shocked me. I usually don’t think of Asia when it comes to dark liquor. The WBK has something for any whiskey lover to try. The«Elway» burger gets my vote for one of the best burgers in tow. The party I was with made the same claim for the burgers they ordered also. The beer was cold and and wings were extra salty, lemon pepper. The place was packed, our server was not the friendliest but everyone can have a rough day. In spite of the large crowd our orders arrived quickly and were prepared correctly, we had a great time and enjoyed most of our meal. I can’t wait to go again.

Really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. The Cali burger or the Devils peak are both very good. The 1st time I came here my mom ordered her burger well done and it came out almost raw so she had to send it back, so I would be careful and cut into your burger right away. This caused us to spend over 2 hours in the restaurant since they had to recook her burger. Other than that I’ve had great experiences here. I love the veggies and the sweet potato fries as sides. Also, they have brunch on Sunday’s and they serve other items besides burgers. Any place that uses fresh jalapeños is high up on my list.

My go to spot in downtown Augusta. I LOVE their burgers. But I always get the Cali burger. It has a little kick to it with fresh jalapeño. I used to have to pick them off due to the heat but now I gulp it down as is. The sweet potato fries are good. Try them with the coconut cream sauce :) I usually opt for the side salad with the ginger dressing. One of my favorite side salads in Augusta. Their edamame is amazing too. To top it off, the owners are super chill and friendly too. They have been quick to chat when you are there and are community minded too.

This is a great late night burger place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Around 10 minutes after we ordered, there was a resounding crashing sound from the kitchen area. Out waitress then comes to tell us that unfortunately, the crashing sound was our table’s food. How they handled the situation is really what made me give the restaurant 5 stars. The manager personally came to apologize for the extra wait and he offered us a 25% discount on our checks. We also ended up getting free waffle fries. It’s also reassuring to know they didn’t just pick the food up off the ground and serve it anyway(as gross this sounds, it happens too often in restaurants). We could’ve easily left the restaurant disgruntled, but because of the attentive and friendly staff left happy and satiated.

I came here yesterday for lunch and really enjoyed the food. I ordered the Elway burger with a side of sweet potato fries. It’s a pretty big burger and everything tasted great. Our server was polite, friendly and gave us everything we needed. It was busy, but I’m assuming it was the lunch crowd so we had to wait quite a bit for our food. Other than that, I definitely want to come back and try out their other items. The atmosphere of this place is more catered to adults rather than families. There’s a full bar and several TVs inside to watch sports. They’re located on the corner of 11th and Broad St. Something I did notice that I’ve never seen before… if you look up at the ceiling(at least near the front entrance), there’s a white Virgin Mary statue that’s «plugged in» into one of the electrical outlets. Maybe it turns on at night time? I don’t know, but it seemed kinda odd.
