AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I have to say that these folks were super nice. I don’t know a thing about transmissions so it was scary bringing it here because I figured they would just tell me I needed a new one. They were able to determine the problem and fix it in no time. In fact, I was late getting to them and they waiting an extra half hour until I got there. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated it!

Apparently AAMCO doesn’t need any new business. I requested an appointment online Friday night at this location hoping to get something over the weekend but got no response. I then called during business hours on Saturday but nobody picked up the phone, so I left a message that I was trying to schedule an appointment — again no response all day Saturday and no call today (Monday) either. I expressed in my message that I was trying to get something over the weekend and they were likely booked, but you’d think they at least have the courtesy to call me back and tell me so. I also tried calling a different AAMCO location on Saturday during their business hours and they too didn’t pick up the phone… and they didn’t even have an answering machine! I’d hate to think what trouble I might have trying to get in touch with this company once they had my car in their possession.

This place actually should not get ANY stars at all! We took our car here last summer and they also had a 100,000 mile warranty. We took our car back to AAMCO b/​c the engine started smoking on our way to Breckenridge. AAMCO has had our car for over TWO weeks and they keep telling is a bunch of BS! They also said they had a loaner car that we could use and that is a lie. The manager is not solution oriented and we will not be going back to this location.
