My Big Lots experience at the Aurora location was one of the best I’ve had in years while dealing with a retail store. I purchased a mattress and was quoted the wrong delivery price. Once the service informed me of the correct price, the Aurora location manager honored the incorrect pricing and paid the difference. It doesn’t stop there, the mattress I bought cost me $ 600 and it was too firm for me and I was stressing about returning the mattress for 2 reasons. One, I misplaced my receipt and prayed they had a record of my purchase. Since I bought the mattress with their credit program they did have a record. The second stressor was because I have 2 brothers but they never help me move things even if I beg them. My younger brother has help before but that was only when I paid him a lot and that’s only if he doesn’t have to lift or move anything. So for days I worried that I paid $ 600 for a mattress that hurt my back and shoulder and thought I would have to suffer with it. However, Big Lots was awesome because they sent the delivery service to pick it up at their expense. I was pleasantly surprised and of course the managers at the Aurora location earned my trust and loyalty. Thanks folks, I hope the company appreciates you as much as I do!

A little on the run-down side, but you wouldn’t believe some of the deals! We bought the perfect set of Libbery drinking glasses for only $ 10. Also a few other miscellaneous items we’d needed(along with things we didn’t know we needed until we saw them here). Also, the fact that they sell Mexican popsicles in their freezer section is amazing.

Yay Big Lots, boo this location! I feel grimy when I come here, the staff is rude and unprofessional, the clientele is sketch and there’s a weird smell in the air. However, Big Lots carries an awesome popcorn that I dig plus Olay moisturizer for $ 4 so I keep coming back for more. As unfortunate as this one is, they do have a huge selection of stuff. I will just keep it to coming here every now and then and never at nighttime.

They have a lot of random stuff. You will find random items that are run and different and spend a a lot of money. The lines can be long but the will get help.

Found some fun things last time I was in — nice to have a selection of cheap, easy decorations for cheering up the office. There are some incredible discounts — like the full-size kitten calendar my friend bought for $ 0.54! The only thing I couldn’t find was a stencil… My kingdom for a stencil to trace letters!

I am not sure it is even possible for a Big Lots to get more that three stars. That said, this one has been around for a while and always seems to have a large selection of what one normally finds at a Big Lots. They also feature a separate furniture room, which does allow them to feature more items than you might typically see. So, I guess I would call this average+ as far as this chain goes.

Ahhh… trash stores, oh how i miss you! There is none downtown, so when i was out in suberbia, and was early for a dinner party — we had to stop! Such bargain, such fun, such stuff i don’t need! Sometimes you need to watch prices but if you know prices, you can find a deal!

I Love a bargain, and IF you’re careful, Big Lots can yield lots and lots of bargains. Over the 2 years of shopping here, I’ve learned the tricks to get the treats. Definitely a game, where the sophisticated shopper wins… but you have to be careful, and I’ll tell you why. 1. Know prices… lots of stuff is More expensive, like TP, for example 2. Watch for refurbished/reconditioned. Lots of gray market stuff 3. Old. Look at expiration dates 4. Damaged… no one wants potato chip crumbles(unless ontop tuna casserole, I guess) Now here’s where the bargains really come into play. 1. Food that’s new and perfect inside… just the packaging is messed up 2. Name brand who tried a new product that didn’t fly … For example, Campbell’s Upscale Organic Soup that for a short time was in grocery stores priced around $ 4…found in Big Lots for $ 1. 3. Cleaning products, garbage bags, hangers, etc Definitely hit or miss. I stop here when I have some time to kill vs a real shopping trip. I usually get lucky, and find at least 1 or 2 items I really need– always lots of impulse silly buys, but I’m getting better!!!
