The customer service sucks. They never greet you with a smile and they never get the full order right. We always have to go back regarding something they missed or added.

Customers should note: This is an expensive Burger King compared to others in the area. Ex. a whopper with Cheese Combo meal, Large size is $ 8.39(before tax) compared to the identical thing at surrounding BK’s ringing in at $ 7.47(before tax). And the whopper combo wasn’t even the thing that had the biggest cost gap. Sure, its not a bank breaker — but it adds up. Why pay $ 9.05 when I can drive down the street and get the same thing for $ 7.84.

Every five years, I like to review a fast food restaurant, just to show that I’m truly one of the«hoi polloi» after all. This half-decade’s lucky winner [fanfare] is the Burger King closest to my house, at Hampden & Chambers. Now, please be advised — this isn’t one of the branches that offers delivery via the BKDELIVERS service — you’re thinking of the one at Iliff & Buckley. But don’t let that stop you in your pursuit of flame-broiled goodness. Wouldn’t you like to munch on one of their new promotional items? The juicy, mega-moist A-1 Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger will remind you of that old«A hamburger’s not chopped ham, it’s chopped steak!» commercial(now, I know that wasn’t before your time, so don’t even go there). Speaking of ham, have you tried the hot ham ‘n’ cheese sandwich, or as the cool kids are calling it these days, the Yumbo? It’s a keeper. And now they even have a four-cheese — count ‘em! — Whopper.(If I tell you what the cheeses are, I’ll have to kill you. With kindness. But you’ll love it). Honestly, I can’t think of a time I’ve had a bad meal here — and I’ve visited many, many, many times over the years. When I was a little cutie, we’d go here each time they rolled out a new item. Some were hits, and others… well, they won’t make the Top 10 anytime soon. But none were truly awful. And y’know, this branch in fact has quite a few things besides the food to recommend it. It’s always very clean — I can’t think of the last time I’ve seen dirty tables, trashy floors, etc. The service is not only prompt, but very polite and personable as well — they truly seem to care about creating a positive experience for the customers who set foot in their establishment. And from my vantage point at the adjacent bus stop, I can see that the drive-through appears to be very efficient too. Really, what more needs to be said(it’s BK, people)?

I normally never eat at BK — I really can’t recall the last time I visited one. 15 years ago maybe. But hunger makes one do weird things. I tired their new Big Chicken sandwich, which is an offshoot of their offshoot of a Big Mac but with two pieces of breaded chicken. It wasn’t bad, to my surprise. Sauce was on point and the sandwich was put together well do it didn’t explode onto my car’s seats like the bigger sandwiches tend to do. I didn’t go inside so I can’t comment on the cleanliness or inside service. The drive thru was fast and friendly though.

Its a Burger King. This one seems to have a different supplier for the bread for the sandwiches. Its not to much like at some other Burger Kings. The Inside is clean, they have a play area. You have to ask for Ketchup which is weird but OK. Guess saving 3 cents on a Ketchup packet is really helpful.
