I dealt with Maureen Browne and John Gussman on a recent transaction. Let me start by saying that I have bought and sold many properties over my lifetime and have yet to run across two «characters» like these people. We received 2 very embarrassing offers from their clients. The first offer was 20% off asking price after the house was only on the market for 8 days. Has someone informed these two that foreclosures aren’t even reduced 20% off value? Fast forward two months, we reduced our asking price by 10%. Their same clients came back and offered 25% off the new asking price! To add insult to injury, they were surprised that we didn’t call them immediately with a counter offer. I know sometimes clients «tell» their agent what to offer, but where was the counseling from these agents to advise them not to waste their time or others with such nonsense? The whole thing was quite unprofessional.
I am happy to report we accepted an offer $ 1,000 off asking from a «normal» person.
