Distinctive Elegance

TOP NOTCH and REPUTABLE! I wanted to do a quick review for Distinctive Elegance and what a great job they did for us recently. We are replacing the trim in our home in stages and also adding crown molding in certain areas. George was prompt to get back to us and provide a detailed quote for each room so we could combine the areas in the order we wanted them done. George is definitely a man of his word and after my recent dealings with a less than stellar contractor in a different trade for our home update, it was a refreshing experience to deal with such an honest and respectable person.
George and Gary showed up exactly on time every day of the job and really cared about the quality of the work they provided. There were unique challenges in a couple spots for them given the «quality» of the initial home build. These challenges basically became invisible to me as George and Gary quickly worked to find a solution to deliver a great finished product. The crown looks amazing and the baseboard and door casings are just as great. They also installed a new hand rail on the stairs for us and it looks absolutely outstanding. The way they worked the cuts to provide a return to the wall is really impressive. One of the HUGE advantages (to me) of using Distinctive Elegance was the fact that the trim is already painted by them and caulked and touched up once installed. I was absolutely dreading having to paint it all and fill any small seams/​nail holes once it was done but they provide a one stop product. Even the hand rail was sealed with a very high quality sealer. When George and Gary left, all that was done was to enjoy the work they did. Everything was done. No having to paint, no sanding, no nail hole filling, nothing. Just enjoy it.
For the quality of the job they do, the amount and scope of work they provide, and the attention to detail and concern for the customer, Distinctive Elegance really does an outstanding job. The only downside for me was now my wife wants to add even more crown in the areas we didn’t plan on because it looks so great in the other rooms. I guess that’s a good problem to have.

I am sharing one of my Denver-​area best-​kept-​secret contractors because 1) George does great work, and 2) I’ve had way too many bad experiences lately and I need to show the Unilocal world that great contractors do exist.
We used George to install crown moulding in our home twice. The first time was 90% of our upstairs, and the second time was the remaining room. He and his team are quick and efficient, professional, and fun to talk to. Plus, he’s from Chicago, so that doesn’t hurt.
Not that he’s hurting for business, but I wanted to get him on Unilocal so others can get a contractor who is worth their time!
