Stopped by here for lunch on New Years Day and while I was excited at the prospect of a new year and new beginnings, this place just left me depressed. I sat at the sushi bar and was the only one sitting there and when I got there the sushi chef was sitting on a chair behind the bar playing on his phone. I ordered a few pieces of Nigiri and an Unagi roll, pieces of nigiri are now $ 1.25 during the day dine in so looks like the price went up a little. There was one girl working who was nice but pretty much left me alone except for taking my order and bringing my check. It was very quiet but just a depressing, cold vibe about it. My sushi was done within a few minutes which is always a plus and it was good but nothing remarkable. Once the sushi chef was done making mine, he went back to sitting down and playing on his phone. I couldn’t get out of there quick enough and back into the sunshine and social interaction. I wouldn’t make a special trip to Dragonfly but if you’re in the area and sushi will save your life, it may be a good bet.

Long wait for food. We were maybe 1 of 2 tables and it took up to an hour. I feel like my social security expired while we were waiting. Once the food did arrive it was just okay. Not worth an hour and $ 50. The sushi tasted mediocre. Wouldn’t recommend.

Food was just barely okay. Service sucked. It was a Wednesday at 2 pm and I had to talk loudly about how much it sucked for my waitress to come over. It took her 10 minutes after we sat down in an empty restaurant to ask if we wanted a drink. I’ll never go again.

My sister and I like coming by on weekends when we go shopping. We are always quick to be seated. I will say I don’t think they are staffed to handle bigger crowds and it is almost always dead when we visit… I wouldn’t bring a party of more than 4 – 5 people here. Service is sometimes a bit slow, but nothing too bad. The food is pretty good, at least the chicken teriyaki and the sriracha beef(both you can get for under $ 10 and the portion is huge). :) Oh and their ginger dressing is delicious as well. Not a fan of the miso soup, however.

The fish was good, the sushi rice was crunchy, tamago was dry too. They did take an item off the check as a concession and explained it was a new rice which had too little water resulting in dry rice. so why serve it?

Service was good but the food was mediocre at best. The sushi was warm and had too much mayo or sauce on it. Definitely didn’t hit the spot for us!

I like it here. It’s a nice restaurant and the sushi is good. Presentable place. It’s just so dark on the outside that A lot of times I think it’s closed. Servers were nice even tho my little one was crawling around the place.

The food is good. Be aware that there is only one waitress and the average wait from arrival to food has been about 45 minutes. In over an hour, there was no water refill. I would go more often if the service was better; the sushi is fresh and tasty.

I love the black dragon roll. But their dragonfly roll is delish too. I haven’t had a roll yet that falls apart on me or is rolled too large like other places in the area. Great food for a reasonable price.

Love the sushi! Nice atmosphere, specials and quick service. Maybe I should write a worse review so it doesn’t get busy because it’s so good! I could eat here daily.

We may have come on an off-day, I don’t know, but I won’t give this place another chance. One server & one sushi chef to serve 10 tables. The owner(or cook) sat around and watched the server struggle to help everyone. We got our sushi, but never got the panang curry so we had to cancel the order. The fish in the sushi was very chewy. Bummed, because this place seemed to have a high rating

We have been coming here for the sesame chicken for a couple of years, and we are never disappointed! The chicken is crisp and not the usual, tempura battered stuff. The sauce has just a touch of spice and the flavor is complex and savory. They also add quite a few veggies to the mix, which is always a bonus!

Robin and I went here Saturday night because I had a Groupon. I must say, I thought the sushi was fantastic. This is a little place located in the shopping area on the corner of Parker Road and Arapahoe Road. It’s small but clean with an industrial vibe. We ordered some basic nigiri(salmon, yellowtail, kani), a couple of basic rolls — tuna & salmon — and then went ahead and ordered a specialty roll called the Broncos roll. A Broncos roll comes with cilantro, jalapeño, spicy tuna on top and I think regular salmon inside. I’m either a purist or a simpleton because I just don’t like these Americanized fancy rolls — and this one was no exception. But. And. Their fish was really fresh here. Some of the best nigiri I’ve had in a long time. Service was friendly and attentive and we had a lovely time. I definitely think we’ll be back again when we have a hankering for good sushi.

Best fried rice and sushi we’ve found in this area. We’ve only had takeout so I can’t speak for the customer service other than a pleasantly brief transaction.

The sushi here was really fresh, which I wasn’t expecting at all. I had the spicy scallop roll, the Boston roll, and one roll with the word ‘sun’ in it. Sunshine? I also had a squid and a tuna $ 1 piece of sushi. I never expect anyone’s squid to be good, especially if it’s $ 1, but this really was. It was cut right and had good flavor. I only got the tuna because they were out of yellowtail. It was fresh and good. The Boston roll did not have mayo. Boston rolls usually do, and it was my least favorite because of that. The other rolls were very good. The service was slow and somewhat inattentive, but the guy was super nice and funny when he did manage to come by. Overall, I’m impressed. $ 1 for a piece of sushi is insanely cheap and, if they are always as fresh as they were yesterday, a real deal. They aren’t really big, but definitely worth the price.

Very disappointing! Here is why… I ordered the sashimi deluxe dinner. It came with only miso soup that was good, no salad; a side salad was an extra charge. The sashimi came out on top of old lettuce, some of the pieces were actually brown all around the edges. The cuts of sashimi were tiny, hardly even the size that it should be on top of a regular sushi. The two lighter cuts had a strong fishy taste, it was older than should be served raw, and I couldn’t even eat them. The tuna and the salmon were good leaving me a cut of octopus that tasted like the freezer and one stick of imitation crab cut into two pieces. Sashimi is traditionally raw fish, not a cooked processed product. Because I only ate 4 pieces of the meal I asked for another bowl of rice, and was informed I would be charged an extra $ 2.00 if I wanted it and was not offered another item to replace my meal. The food was extremely overpriced and of very poor quality. The service… please keep in mind there was no one else in the restaurant(should have been my first indication). The lady sat me, took my order, and brought me my food in a timely manner. When I was ready to go I had to call the lady over for the check. She had her child with her, who was permitted to wander around the dinning and kitchen areas freely with no supervision. I also feel it prudent to mention she was wearing flip flop type shoes while working in the kitchen.

My wife and I stopped in for some lunch while out doing a little shopping in the area. We were the only ones in there for lunch which didn’t inspire confidence. Once the Sapporo and rolls started coming out, things were looking up. For being in a good location and having some lunch specials, it is pretty good. However, I just really prefer the sushi bars that I frequent compare to this place. I’ll be back, but I won’t go out of my way.

It’s really a 2.5 rating rounded up. Came here on a Friday night around 530pm and we were the only customers eating there. This restaurant has no website or happy hour. The signage is also hard to locate and it’s right across from Red Robbins. Most of their menu is sushi so not really Asian Bistro. The special monkey roll and volcano roll was pretty good but the portion is on the small side. I was scared to eat the $ 1 Nigiri(hand pressed) sushi but so far my stomach is holding up. Go to Sushi Kazu instead which is 5 minutes away with much better authentic Japanese dishes. John Holly’s in Lone Tree is a much better Asian ford fusion.
