Hertz Rent A Car

STAY AWAY…
My partner called here to reserve a car about 2 weeks ago and spoke with a man named John who was very awkward, gave him a price of $ 60 a day and said he could stop in the day of to get the car making it sound like we had a reservation. We went there Monday and there was no record of the reservation and the man working the desk (a darker colored skin male with a beard) refused to acknowledge or help with the situation. Instead of focusing on a solution he preferred to dwell in the problem and accused my partner of lying. After going rounds with this individual we asked for a manager who was equally as incompetent as his employee and said the best they can do is $ 87 for a Chevy Spark (compact POS). After going rounds with this individual as well we finally got a 20% discount which brought the price down to closer to what we were quoted. We were not the only individuals having issues with this team and their utter and complete lack of customer service skills as another lady who was also getting help was extremely frustrated with the complete lack or care.
I would NEVER recommend visiting this location or working with this staff.

Do not use this group, I can’t believe that Hertz let’s this shop continue to do business in this way. Their shifty business practice will hurt the Hertz national brand the longer they are in business. The rental place promised us one thing and delivered another. When we said we didn’t want what they were offering and declined renting with them they ended up charging my credit card $ 600! Thank goodness for AMEX — they are now fighting them. Stay far far away from this group!

Mike was amazing at helping me get a set of wheels after my car had to go to the shop. They were super understanding, friendly, professional, and quick about setting me up, even though I showed up at 5:50pm with no reservation. I would rent a car from these guys again.

My car was getting fixed and a rental car is paid for by my warranty, up to 5 days. I was told they needed a card in order to give me the rental. They also said I needed to purchase some sort of additional insurance, despite having full-​coverage auto insurance. My card was charged nearly $ 300 and I have contacted the manager, Scott, twice in 3 and ½ weeks and still have not been credited back.

I wish there was I way I could give negative views. They are still harassing me for not returning a Chevy Malibu when I did in fact return it. I have shown them the papers saying I have returned them and so has my lawyer. They are also saying I left the gas tank empty
They charged me more than the agreed upon amount and are trying to get more money out of me.

The slowest least friendly and worst customer service I have ever had. I left something in the car, and called, said they’d call me back. No word, called again, said they’d call me back, no one called. Called a third time and spoke with the manager and found out the car had already been rented again, WITHOUT being cleaned apparently. Asked if they could call the new renters so that I could get my stuff, was told the new renters were out of town and they would call me when the car was returned either way. Still no return call. Total lack of communication, no returned calls. Still waiting for an apology, and explanation and my stuff!

If i could give them negitive stars I would … this company is the WORST and it will take you a life time to get a refund on money that was not authorized — even when they say it is in process, it takes 100 000 000 calls and I still can’t find someone to help me. Their manager said she would call me right back (that was last week)
I am contacting the BBB — if you don’t want money stolen off your credit card I would say don’t ever do business with Hurtz, especially this location!!! But I have frinds that have had this problem with Hurtz all over the country. Just a shady company trying to scam its customers.

These guys were great this AM when the fuel pump on my own car went out and I needed some wheels. Scott was really helpful, especially since Enterprise and ZERO cars (maybe one at noon) and there was a line at Budget. Hertz is my new hero on the autobahn that is Havana.
