Michael is friendly and professional. Ive relied on him for several tasks for our rental property and he is on time and does quality work. I will continue to use him for other projects around the house.

We used M&M Handyman Services (Michael Davis) for diagnosing a problem dryer, in addition to some furniture assembly work. Our issue was with the dryer diagnosis.
I knew from online research that lack of voltage to the wall receptacle was a possible. I asked Michael if he could test it, and he had a voltmeter and assured me it was getting 220v. Because of this, we presumed that the problem was not electrical and there was something wrong with the dryer itself. He then spent 2+ hours on the dryer, including a trip to a local supply store to check for parts. Ultimately, he was not able to fix the dryer and advised us to buy a new one.
Upon his advice, we then went and spent $ 300 on a new dryer. When it arrived and we plugged it in, it would not work.
We then called Michael, and he suggested we talk to an electrician, which we did. The electrician came, and the first thing he tested was the wall receptacle with the voltmeter. It only read 110v. The problem was electrical, not with the appliance.
Michael’s misdiagnosis cost us $ 450 (2hrs of his time + $ 300 dryer). We called him to explain the situation and ask for a refund of his time ($ 150). He was very defensive, and ultimately hung up on us. Extremely unprofessional.
I would not recommend Michael for any electrical diagnostic work. He did do a good job with our IKEA furniture and getting a chandelier set up. He was prompt and pleasant while in our home, but I was very disappointed that he wouldn’t stand behind the work that he provided. Had Michael simply read the voltmeter appropriately, it would have saved us a lot of time and trouble. That said, everyone makes mistakes… but Michael was unwilling to admit his, which is extremely unprofessional.
