History

Established in 1996.

I opened my first store in 2002, and will open my 7’s store in march 2015 (click on «locations» to find the closest store to you).

We specialize in blow drying natural and relaxed hair. Wraps, hair extensions, roller and straw sets, custom coloring, highlights and cuts. Come in, relax on our cozy couch and watch as your experienced stylist creates your one of a kind beauty.

I like to use the gift and talent that God has blessed me with in helping

people look their best and feel special. I’ve been a professional stylist for 20 years and a lot of my clients been with me since 1996. I enjoy doing hair color, cutting, and karitan treatment. I am the owner of Mena’s Hair Design stores, I opened my first store in 2002, and will open my 7’s store in march 2015 (click on «locations» to find the closest store to you). I believe that a great hair is the key to feeling beautiful. In all of my stores, I train my staff to work very hard to

achieve that through the high quality service and customer care that we

Like one other reviewer said this is for special occasions not a regular salon to get your hair done because of the damage the heat will do. I was told by another beautician that they take the «guts» out of the dryer which is why they can get it so straight. Like another reviewer said, I too have had my hair shampood to where it was badly tangled and hurt really bad when trying to comb it out. I do love the outcome of my hair but I know that if I wanted my hair to stay healthy this is not the salon to go to once a week or once a month. This is a once or twice a year salon.

At first I didn’t want to go to hair salons because I was always told that If I constantly do my hair it will damage it, so I kept it natural. To be honest I got bored of neutral so I tried q couple of hair salons before this one, the service wasn’t that good which made me keep searching for a better salon. Once I came to mena’s hair salon I’m no longer searching for another salon. The service here is amazinggg. These people are so nice and lovely. No long waiting. Low prices. Great product. Great hair care. I don’t get bored while getting my hair done because they keep making me laugh like omg I LOVE this shop I always wait for the day to go back and get my hair done. I seriously recommend everyone of u to go there :)

This is just going to be a quick and brief review… So I’ve been going to mena’s since I was eight (I’m 17 now) and i think what attracted me and my mother was how quick they did your hair and how straight they got it, and just recently I stopped going because yes, even though they know how to get hair straight their not too big on styling and not only that, but this shop is Egyptian ran, by mostly guys. Which is FINE but if you are an African American then I would highly suggest that you find a place that is good with black hair care, I think its important to not only have a stylist that can make your hair look good, but who can also keep it healthy. These people will burn out your hair if your not careful! After years of my mom going there it still looks nice as soon as she leaves but as the style gets old you can see the affects of the damage! Her hair would just fall out of her head! Like running you fingers through was a no go, hair balls would come flying out! And that’s why I recently stopped going because I could see the damage starting to impact my hair too. My hair would break more than usual, it really shouldn’t be breaking at all.
So I found a stylist that knows how to care for black hair (DON’T GET ME WRONG; I take care of my hair too! I usually go to the salon every 2 – 3 weeks, lol so no I’m not relaying on salons to take care of my hair.) but anyways yeah, I found a salon that cares for black hair.
In conclusion Mena’s is not the salon you want to go to Too often, haha if that made sense, I recommend going for special occasions or something, but not too much just for the safety of that beautiful mane on the top of your head

I’ve been coming to Mena’s as my suburban salon of choice off and on for years. Usually, I’m in an out with no problems. I came on a Sunday afternoon was done in 43 minutes! They accept credit cards, and have good hours. Highly recommend for a simple wash and blow dry with flat iron style.

For true? For not!!! when a client asks for their ends to be trimmed and to make sure you cut all the split hairs, they don’t want you asking them ever hair strand «is this ok?» do you know what a split end look like? obviously not if i have to review each strand before you cut it… tried it twice like elmo said… no thanks!
