History
Established in 2015.
The Richard and Gina Santori Public Library of Aurora opened on June 14, 2015. Gina Santori named the library with a donation of $ 3 million to the library’s foundation. The State of Illinois contributed a grant in the amount of $ 10 million toward the project. The Kiwanis Club of Aurora named the Children’s Center with a $ 100,000 grant. The Dunham Fund provided a $ 250,000 grant for public art. Two gardens on the property — The Parker Garden for those affected by memory loss and their caregivers, and The Juvenile Protective Association Children’s Nature Garden — opened on Aug. 15, 2015.
