Business Owner

Laura E. Pence (aka the first Social Savvy Geek or @SocialSavvyGeek on Twitter) is the Founder and President of Social Savvy Geek, LLC, a social media management and consulting agency with operations in Denver, Colorado and Richmond, Virginia. Laura has worked with some of the top names in Internet Marketing and has consulted with entrepreneurs, businesses and nonprofits in the US and abroad. She is the author of the popular article, 10 Tips to Build Your Twitter List Now, which has been published both online and in print in the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

In addition to speaking, conducting training events and seminars, and writing she is a past President of NAPW’s Richmond, VA Chapter and Marketing Chair for the Metro Richmond Musician’s Council. Prior to founding Social Savvy Geek, she served as Vice President of Marketing and PR for a local chapter of ABWA and Marketing Committee Chair for the Fredericksburg Guard Association.
