A friend and I went to this location after a game of golf. I’ll admit, I was skeptical because the restaurant was empty when we arrived. And it was still pretty empty when we left.
As soon as we entered the bartender greeted us. Since there was another couple sitting at the bar we decided to eat there. The bartender was extremely nice, personable and very service-​oriented. She answered all our questions, made recommendations and chatted with us throughout our stay. Because it wasn’t very busy, we had a lot of time to talk.
I ordered the traditional cheeseburger, with all the fixins’ and their garlic french fries. Everything tasted delicious!!! My friend ordered the chicken wings which he also really enjoyed.
Because I’ve only been here once, it’s hard to say if our experience was «typical» at this location or not. But since we enjoyed our lunch, I have no problem giving it a solid three stars.
Yes, the waitresses/​bartenders do wear skimpy outfits. If you know this before you go, then don’t claim to be offended when you get there. Honestly, it’s not that big of a deal. You’ll see more skin going to the beach or public pool during the summer. If that doesn’t offend you, then there’s no reason why this should.
Is it family friendly? That’s up to you. If I had to take my son there, I probably wouldn’t be all that worried about it.
If you’re in Fox Valley Center and want something a little different, but with good food, then give Tilted Kilt a try!

Bartender did not know what she was doing. Don’t know how to pour a Guinness? Really? Not to mention the red haired manager was no help. She does not deserve to be in the position that she’s in. She was not in uniform but bossing the girls around so I knew she was a manager of some sort. I hope they have someone higher than her that knows what they are doing. Going to twin peaks instead!

My friend had never heard about this place so we really came here to see the girls. I ordered a stout which they let me taste… it was horrible… so I ended up getting a Guinness… the problem I have is the bartender did not know how to pour a beer. She also rushed us to close our bill because she was leaving. The new bartender relieving her only asked us if we needed anything once we stood up to leave. Clearly, the employees work here because of their looks not because they know anything about the food industry.

Drinks and service was great but the food was terrible. The chili was cold and looked like dog food and the boneless chicken wings looked small, pale and pathetic. First time here and looks like I would have been better off going somewhere else and save myself $ 50.

Terrible service ordered a beer before ordering lunch and was half way done with lunch before the beer arrived

Wow. Sunday was my first (and last) time at this location. Ordinarily I’m a fan of Tilted Kilt but the service here was beyond bad.
When we arrived, the restaurant didn’t seem to be very busy and we were seated within 5 minutes. The hostess took us to a table that wasn’t clean and told us that someone would be by shortly to wipe it down. 10 minutes later, no one had come to clean the table OR even take a drink order. After a few more minutes of sitting around, the bartender informed us they were extremely busy and stopped by to take our order. 40 minutes after that, we finally got our food. I should point out that while we were waiting, we noticed the waitresses were running around like mad women trying to serve tables, and several people left without ordering because they were fed up with the wait.
My fries were extremely greasy and soggy, my turkey burger was dry, and the guacamole looked suspiciously brown. Luckily, my fiancé’s black bean wrap and sweet potato fries were fine. We also ate with no utensils or napkins after repeatedly asking for them and being ignored. I was definitely frustrated that we waited 40 minutes for subpar food and service but the real reason for our visit was dessert.
While we ate, we decided to order dessert ASAP since the food took forever to arrive and we didn’t know when a waitress would stop by our table. We flagged down a waitress and she said she would add the dessert to our order. A few minutes later, the bartender who originally served us left the check (which did not include our dessert). We told her that we also ordered dessert, and asked for a discount because of the horrible service that day. She spoke to the manager and they offered us free dessert, $ 3 off and explained that they were short staffed in the kitchen. I respect that they gave us a discount because of the horrible service but I will definitely not return since other reviews would lead me to believe that’s to be expected at this location. Note to the owner/​manager: consider appropriately staffing your restaurant, especially when there’s a big football game and this is a sports bar!

Never coming back to this Tilted Kilt again. After we ordered our drinks, two Cokes, it took our waitress a good 10 minutes to bring them to us. No good explanation why. She said you guys probably thought I forgot you. Somehow I think she did. Food came real fast, as I expected it too since there were only about 10 tables filled at 5 PM on a Friday. Bill came and we put two $ 20 bills in and asked for our change. After another lengthy delay, our change came back. She brought us 2 $ 10 bills, and 4 $ 5 bills. We should have taken that and left.
Horrible service and the girls there need to stop chatting with other servers and pay more attention to their tables and actually listen to what the customer is saying.
Hooters is right around the corner and they actually do their jobs and are very quick about it.
Maybe our waitress, London, should go back into training or find a new profession.

this was not the first time we have been to a TK. every other time the service was good, the food came promptly and most importantly it was good. Not so at this location. The place was empty on a Friday night which seemed strange to me. However you would have thought then you would get your food quickly. We ordered drinks and appetizers first. They came fairly quick although lukewarm at best. We ordered our food and it was at least 30 minutes before we got out order. My order was made incorrectly and you could see where they just pulled it apart to try to make it right. No lettuce and tomato was the order. Well it came with a random chunk of tomato dropped here and there and pieces of lettuce stuck to the cold hardening cheese inside the cold, hardening flatbread. Everyone’s food was cold and tasted awful. She came back once during the entire meal. How our food could be cold when no one was there I don’t understand. We got the bill and instead of giving my husband a dinner salad before his meal she changed the side his meal came with to a dinner salad and then charged him for the appetizer of fries. Speaking of fries none of ours were even done. Limp, cold, mushy fries. Just gross. We just left it so we could get out of there. It was a disaster. We will not be going back. There are plenty of other locations who know what the hell they are doing. I guess I can see why on a Friday night TK is empty. Hooters will remain our Fox Valley Mall restaurant.

We were really excited when this place first opened, Finally a TK close to the office but it wasn’t meant to be.

This location unfortunately provides nowhere near the service you would find at the other locations (Woodridge to be specific)
The wait for the food was longer then expected and there have been quite a few times where the food arrived not as ordered. The staff seem very disconnected and unenthusiastic.
… and the fricking tables wobbled which drove me nuts.
We don’t go to this location anymore, I think they closed or are remodeling? go figure

Came in here for a Sunday funday with girls after a afternoon of shopping. We sat at the bar wasn’t very busy. It was obvious the bartender was nearing the end of the shift and she wasn’t really wanting to work anymore. After a few drinks she asked us to close out with her… No problem! She took my card and then went along her way. After waiting 15 min for her to return if to me I stepped outside for a smoke. She sent her friend who was sitting at the bar outside to ask us if we could close out. We informed him that she has our card and we were waiting on her! I come back to my receipt near my drink. And the cash that I had on the bar (was going to use cash for a tip) was gone. I asked if I needed to sign and the bartender pulled out the merchant copy and said oh I just signed for you. Woooooow that’s ballsy to sign someone’s name on a credit card receipt. My friends convinced me to talk to the manager, when she came out she acted like it wasn’t really a big deal! I don’t want your bartender writing in any amount that she wants to get a double tip. Besides why forge someone signature?!? ABSOLUTELY turned off that this behavior is ok

Love the Irish nachos! Great service. From out of town and this place was recommend. We will come back.

This place will be out of business within 60 days unless the owner loves pissing away money. They have no idea what customer service means. But don’t take my word for it. Bring your wallet and stopwatch and find out for yourself. One star is kind.

Been to other tilted kilts in Romeoville, Bolingbrook, Roselle, Oakbrook, downtown Chicago, Schaumburg and now this one. I like the food but I don’t mind the scenery similar to going to Hooters… you like the chicken wings but don’t mind the scenery. Personally my favorite so far is Roselle since the staff seems so inviting and cheerful whenever I go there. Anyways back to this TK review. I went there on a friday night and for a sports bar it wasn’t packed at all and we were able to get seating promptly. Nice set of TVs with different viewing options from basketball to MMA fighting. Not too loud so we were able to converse without having to scream. The waitress Maria was friendly and was somewhat attentive coming back to check on us every once in a while. Their drink selection was ok. We stuck to the Angry Orchard Hot Cider. Usually get their wraps or salads but this time I tried one of their burgers, the Pub Fried Egg burger and it was delicious but seemed to be oozing out with grease… I guess what could I expect for a burger with fried egg and bacon and cheese :) I was very happy with the choice and I ordered a side of sweet potato fries. This is normally good but seemed to be undercooked this time. Finally I was feeling I needed a boost if I was going to stay out late with my buddy so I ordered a coffee… big mistake. The coffee was around $ 3 for a small portion the size of a small espresso cup and it took close to 30 mins to make and didn’t even taste fresh and no refills. I wouldn’t have minded the small portion and cost and no refills if it was actually espresso but it was just bad coffee! Anyways again what could I expect for coffee from a place like this :) All in all just an ok experience… not enough to make me want to come back.

I was at the mall one fine December afternoon with my baby and parents. We were there to get photos with Santa! After our fun with Santa ended, we were wandering the aisles of different stores trying to finish some Christmas shopping. When suddenly, it hit, HUNGER! We were famished. We wanted to sit down and the only place that seemed appetizing while not having to leave the actual mall ended up being Tilted Kilt. They were fairly new and thought we’d give them a try.
Now, I knew their thing was scarcely dressed girls doing the waitressing deal; I warned my parents and they said they were too hungry to care. Well, my parents were still surprised that this place was at the mall where families go. It was a little funny watching how uncomfortable my parents were… I also didn’t really care for nipples staring me down while I was trying to order my meal. Not classy… I don’t like seeing women with hairy legs and dry skin when I’m trying to eat.
All the half naked women thing aside, their food was pretty uneventful. It bordered on gross. This was pretty disappointing since we were famished.
My dad and I split a wrap and we also got a cup of soup. The wrap was a flour tortilla, iceberg, tomatoes, a dab of sauce, and some chicken that I suspect was just microwaved. The soup I got was the beer cheese soup — it tasted like it was frozen then also nuked in the microwave before being served.
I gave two stars because the service was friendly and the staff seemed fairly happy. I watched the Undercover Boss episode for Tilted Kilt. That episode really pushed the fact that their food is delicious and that they are a FAMILY restaurant. Such lies.

Slow service from alicia. We had to order chicken tenders for our son since the mac and cheese and pasta were all out. Food was ok but i really felt akward having boobs in my face. I guess come here if you want to see boobs for free come here. But its uncomfortable for me as a mom to see high schoolers working here showing their bodies to men.

I’ve been to a few TKs, and this is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The server herself was a nice girl, but we saw her twice our entire meal. Every time I looked up she was sitting at the bar with a group of guys, making it seem like she could care less about us. The food is absolutely, ungodly, terrible. Not just at this location, but every Kilt I’ve ever been to has the lowest quality food. I’ve tried something different every time, and it’s always so terrible. Don’t even waste your time coming here. People come here to look at the girls but they are an even lower quality than their food. Hooters wannabes, but they’ll never be on their level.
