Founded in 2006, 2FA Inc. is a veteran-​owned, cybersecurity company created on the single vision of simplifying authentication. 2FA’s products integrate authentication and single sign-​on (SSO) into a single solution. 2FA serves customers in diverse industries including: public sector, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, and finance; with special focus on industries where compliance requires the adoption of authentication and encryption. 2FA supports over 1,000 customers and millions of users around the world, including deployments in all 50 states and over 25 countries. Supported customers range in size from well over 1,000,000 to less than ten users; including several of the largest US city-​based authentication deployments for CJIS compliance, leading healthcare organizations, and global enterprises.

2FA has emerged as the cybersecurity leader for authentication and encryption. 2FA’s products support fingerprint biometrics, smart cards and tokens, RFID cards and devices, magnetic swipe cards, One-​Time Password (OTP) tokens and devices, Risk-​Based Authentication (RBA), and barcode devices on a variety of operating systems and hardware platforms. Meet the Business Owner

Shaun C.

Business Owner

Shaun has over 15 years’ experience working with strong authentication and identity management hardware and software projects. He worked for over 5 years with Raytheon’s Secure Identity solutions on such projects as the Argentinian national ID card, visa, and passport programs, testing and improving the security of the U.S. visa and passport, and other global security projects. He has also worked on special short-​term projects such as partnering with Ericsson to enhance the commercial viability of Bluetooth technology in 2000, and organizing the first-​ever successful joint-​venture proof of concept to vet federated identities working in cross-​platform environments (was acting project lead on a special project with Liberty Alliance, Microsoft, Sun, and others to show possible solutions to SAML and WS-​* compatibility). Immediately prior to founding 2FA, Shaun worked with Schlumberger and the group that eventually became Gemalto.
