4 Wheel Parts

I’ve purchased a few items at this location. In the past I got two sets of tires and a few other items at the Ft. Worth location. Never had a problem.
I got a winch for my JK at the Austin store yesterday. Ordered it online the night before, they had a good sale going on, no tax, free shipping, and a free winch cover. Saved about $ 50. I went with the ‘pick up in store’ option since the web-​site said it was in stock in Austin. I placed my order at 10 pm online and picked it up the next day at noon. Was in and out in about 10 mins. I did call ahead to make sure they had it. Nice customer service and the counter guy rolled it out with a dolly to my jeep.
I tend to shop around for jeep parts. Will check the usual competitors and just look for the best deal. I’ve never dealt with 4WP’s shop but I’m sure it’s fine for lifts and things. No reason not to go back here.

I’m not much of a leave a comment kind of person but… I’m taking time to do this. I came in to the Austin location of 4 wheel parts and I was helped by a gentleman name Zeus, which I later found out was the store mgr. He was able to not only match but beat the prices I got off the internet. They had the parts in stock and I was so happy with the pricing I went ahead and had the guys install everything as well. I’m more than pleased to shop with Zeus again in the future. What prompted me to take the time to leave a review was the fact that he called and checked on me a few days later to make sure everything was good.

Wow, talk about feeling invisible. I walked into this store on Friday afternoon looking to buy some new rims and tires. There were five guys joking around behind the counter who completely ignored me for 5 minutes. I walked up to Mr. Lopez, the store manager, who proceeded to tell me that he was busy with a customer. I couldn’t see any other customer nor was he on the phone. A Loomis employee arrives with a cash delivery and Mr. Lopez helps him immediately in his office. What happens next? Mr. Lopez just sits in his office chair looking at a magazine unaware that I could see he was just blowing me off. What a disgrace!
i took my $ 1,500 to NTB, who helped me like an appreciated customer.
I’m wondering if this company’s corporate office is aware of this location’s complete indifference to customers?

I received a call from the local GM which helped with the issue I had while in store.
Their bill you first, shop whenever practice is something to be very wary of. Stay on top of your order is all I can say.

Asked for a specific part. It was just a towing electronics kit, but I wanted the Smittybuilt version. I had a large order with 8 or 9 different parts, and the lighting kit was the smallest so I didn’t realize until I got home that it was the wrong part. I figured it would be no big deal to return it and pay the difference for the smittybuilt part. I brought it in and explained. He actually threw it back at me and said «they’re the same damn thing»… then turned to someone else behind the counter and began talking. I called customer service and they said «no they have to return it». I waited a few days, and got it returned with another rep. but I am never going back. I have alot of money in my jeep and planned to have them install some new bumpers soon, but I will find somewhere else.

Me and my mother had just got a jeep so we were looking for parts. Every guy that walked in there would get immediate help. We waited there looked interested in lots of things but yet got no help. If you wanted it they would just walk away or not seem interested into helping a customer that was on planning on buying somthing
Go to texas trailer and hitch up the road cheaper and kinder.

I came into the shop looking for a specific part for my Wrangler… a 50″ LED light bar mounting bracket. After walking around the store for 5 minutes or so I finally asked a salesman that was walking by if they had any I could look at. He barely acknowledged me but went back behind the counter and got back to me in another 5 minutes or so just to tell me they had them in stock. After asking if I could take a look he went into the back and brought out a box. He opened the box and pulled out a part wrapped in shipping materials. I explained that I probably needed a replacement because the one I previously purchased wasn’t fitting correctly so I was hoping to check the size before making a purchase. He rudely responded that it would be too difficult to sell to someone else if he completely unwrapped it.
I couldn’t believe the guy wasn’t willing to help me in the slightest… I was willing to buy the part on the spot but instead will be getting it online somewhere for much less. Very, very rude customer service. This is not the place to bring your business.

Worst experience ever with having something done with my vehicle. Took my jeep in to have a 2 inch lift and new shocks. Now I have something called the death wobble and it has rendered my vehicle useless. I now have a 25k jeep that I can’t drive over 60 mph. When we asked for help, all they can suggest is 3000 in new tires or 1000 in a new part, but not sure how to fix it. We could do both and still have the death wobble. Basically, our jeep is ruined and no end in site on the cost to fix it.

Need improvements on customer service. No complaints on install

It got the job done, but not all the guys that work there are nice. They look like they don’t want to be there and they don’t communicate very well. I don’t recommend this place.

I’m so happy right now. You know why? Because my Jeep is so happy! Just had a lift put in and she runs awesome! No weird shimmee and she sittin’ real pretty. Donnie and Rick just rock! I drove home in the fast lane for once! Yaaaaaay! Happiness!

Been using Unilocal for years, this is my first review, why? Because these guys are pretty darn nice and get stuffs done.
Ordered a tonneau cover for the truck, messed up on my end when I told them the wrong length of the bed. But I was able to reorder another with them while it only took them one day to ship the new cover.
If you are looking for parts and things, definitely check this place out, the service alone was worth the 5 stars!

Pros:
1. Good advice on modifying my jeep (listening to what I want and how I use my jeep, rather than advising me to modifying how they would want it.)
2, Good selection that they can get in their location from the warehouse quickly.
3. Honest
I took in my 2002 dodge truck in for evaluation– after having my transmission replaced elsewhere, I started experiencing new problems– noises– that I didn’t notice before the transmission was replaced. I took the truck to the dealer, firestone and the place where the transmission was replaced. Each of the three places indicated difference causes of the noise, but repairs all ranged above $ 700. 4Wheel parts identified the problem and fixed it for a nominal charge of just $ 60– as it turned out that one of the motor mounts was not secure. Had I not gone to 4Wheel Parts or had they not been honest/​thorough in their troubleshooting, I would have been taken for more than $ 700.
Cons:
Not the lowest price (but fair prices)
I will use them as my preferred Jeep/​Truck shop.

Once again! James @ 4 Wheel Parts Austin helped me track down a set of back ordered SRC rocker guards and was able to find them in a matter of days from another location. Even helped me out on the shipping. I’ll be back again!

Hey you guys have been really great to me. Helped me if I needed a part. If you didn’t have it, you could get it for me. You helped out when I was tire shopping, and if you got something new in that could be used on my Jeep you showed/​told me about it. I will be back to see you guys soon. Thanks for all the help!

Out to getcha… If you know what you need and what you are talking about then you are fine here. If you are curious and not sure of what you want… You will be broken. Prices are competitive on tires and some other after-​market items. Don’t let them install, their prices will eat you alive.
